Did the french woman's music box play "La Mer?"

Yes it did. But as what's her name said it was a very common childrens toon. Which is who music boxes like that are ussually made for. The question is who did it belong to. How long has she had it. Was alex around when the notes where made. There no answers in that bit of information only more questions. But nice pick up anyway.

I listened to both song back to back and did not find any resemblance between the song on the music box and the song that Shannon sang and then it turned to piano music after Shannon's voice faded out.

I don't think the music box played this song. The tune from the music box wasn't recognizable at all to me and I immediately recognized beyond the sea.

Actually she said it was on a fish movie, which was Finding Nemo. "Beyond the Sea" or "La Mer" plays through the credits. its actually a song from the early 60's sung by Bobby Darin. It is possible it COULD have been playing in Danielle's box, but its not. But it could have been. Heh.
