In The Other 48 Days, we didn't see the monster at all, does this mean that the Tailies have not encountered the big beasty yet?
Perhaps the beast was used to herd the main survivors whilst the others did their business with the tailies?
The monster on the original beach, sure did sound like the tail end of the plane crashing into the ocean on the other side of the island, or was it just me?

Maybe the "monster" was already at the side where the tail end came down? Between the distraction of swimming to shore, the screams and cries for help from those nearby, I think it would have been easily missed by those who were, probably, well on their way to shock.

the "monster" noises were at night.....the crash was during the day.....doesn't quite connect that way!

Just seen a theory in the main 207 thread that perhaps the Monster or "security system" keeps the main survivors safe from the others...

If you take Danielle's exclamation of the "thing in the jungle" as a security system, it maybe set for only approaches from the Fuselies direction. I've mentioned in another thread, if you look at it like a proximity alarm, it makes perfect sense.

It's probably on the otherside of the mountain.
