I know I've been hanging around the boards too much. One of the lead stories on the Morning News today was about a high speed chase in Gary, Indiana. One police car collided with another and a cop was killed. My first thought was "Jeez, I hope that's not Crandy."

As I was walking through the QA department a few minutes ago, I saw a box of soft clay laying next to the CMM. They use it to temporarily hold some parts onto the table when measuring them with the probe. It's an extremely light operation, so they don't bolt the parts to the table unless they absolutely have to. They'll just mash the part onto a few blobs of clay and it stays in place solidly enough to measure things.
