Just wondering... Who here has pets? If you'd like, share photos and stories of your pets...

and the kids are killing me, they want a dog, my husband says anymore pets come into the house and he is leaving!!! (he would never admit it, but he loves the cat, it sits with him all the time)

Wifey (and I, but more her) breed Golden Retrievers. We own three, two females (ages 9, 2) and a male(age 7). Just had a litter back in August. Cute little creatures. Kids love the dogs the dogs love the kids. It's all good here. lol

Don't know for sure. We went out both birds seemed fine but when we came home 1 was dead and pretty beat up looking and since the cat ws outside that leaves 1 suspect.

:eek: I had three birds once upon a time. They didn't exactly get along 100% of the time, but nothing like that every occurred.

2 Outdoor cats (mostly) a siamese named Kitiara (Kit) who just turned 16, and a grey Tabby with beautiful green eyes named Midget (midge, middy, evil), who is almost 14. She's a foundling and not as grateful as we'd hoped she'd be, but she can be sweet at times (on her own terms)

We got our siamese from a couple who boarded dogs. For the first 6 months that we had her she barked, I kid you not! She was around our other cat (who has since gone missing :( ) and finally learned to meow, it's still a bit gutteral, but least she sounds more cat than dog now!

I have one cat called Betsy!!! (My mum named her!!)
All she does is sleep on the couch or eat. She doesnt do any exercise and will only leave the house to go toilet, never for more than 1/2 an hour.

CncksGirl, I had a cat years ago that looked very much like your Mushu. She was gray with a small tuff under her chin and another on her belly. She didn't meow very much but she would growl when she was annoyed.

I have 3 cats that I love to pieces! Precious, Mommy Kitty and Ruby. (Yes those are their names.) Precious is MY cat, he's black and white. He's awesome. Mommy Kitty is orange and Ruby is black, brown with some orange.

Then there's my dog. She's a sheltie and annoying as hell. I don't like her very much....

I have the world's greatest puppy who is now 11 years old but still thinks he is a puppy :)
He also likes to eat Blistix which drives me crazy.
He is half cocker spaniel and half dautschund hound. Spaniel jumped the fence and well the rest is history.
His name is Wilbur (after the pig in Charlotte's Web)

I also have a black and white very fat cat named Sadie. We don't talk very much. She keeps to herself.

Thanks for asking. We adopted Mattie from the Oakland SPCA more than 10 years ago and adopted Mocha a year later from the same place. Mattie was a stray rescue, so we really don’t know her ancestry. We guess Golden Retriever and Chow Chow, but there’s probably some sort of shepherd in her as well. Those ears are simply priceless IMNSHO. Mocha was a puppy, but again, we didn’t get much info. We were told she is a Rott-Lab cross. But she seems a bit too tall and thin to not have something else in her. We certainly agree with you on how gorgeous they are, though. :)

I have 2 wonderful dogs. The older one (12yo) is Lady and the white one (3yo) is Casey. Lady is now completely deaf...which is actually quite funny....and Casey is just a spaz. (she is a terrier, you see...which should be terrorist)

Long haired tigers. Both brothers from the same parents but different litters. Nav wieghs about 15 and Tonto over 20 lbs. Both rescues from a horse farm.

Husky German Sheppard Collie mix. (aka mutt) she weighs about 85 lbs. She was a rescue from a shelter. Sweetest dog eva!! EXCEPT when she steals loaves of bread off the counter and eats them in the middle of the night.:mad:

15-2 red dun quarter horse mare
Cochise
16-1 bay quarter horse gelding

We've got 5 dogs (4 purebred labs and 1 mix) Named: Dammet (12), Gretchen (14), Spot (9) Charlie Brown (9) and Brear (14)

8 Goats. Not pigmys, big goats with horns. Names: Amos, Andy, Elvira, Chelsea, Me Too, Frick, Frack, Willy

1 Llama: Name: Milkrun

2 horses: Name: Angel - Black Tennessee Walker Mare and Hank: Gelded Paint

4 Cats: Black Cat, Cloud, Bird, and Purrdita plus a feral stray or two.

1 Husband :D

2 dogs are very sick right now. One just got out of the hospital this morning, still sick :(

Had a Chihuahua dog for about ten years which died a little under a year ago.

Have had a Tibetan Spaniel for about 2 years nearly. It is the most loyal dog ever!!

Plus a cat which is awesome and a bunch of goldfish.

A cat. His name is Taj ,but I call him the Tajinator because when he was old enough to be let outside he proceeded to kick major stray cat butt.
That upset me because I like those little beggers, but once he established that he was THE top tom he tolerates them now.
My other cat Nimmew died, he looked like a mini black panther.

And a 100# coonhound/airedale mix named Bear. Here is a picture fron when he was 5 months old. We got him from a rescue league near us.

We have had in our family total in my life:
21 cats,
4 dogs,
6 Mallard Ducks
2 Pekin ducks
a quail,
a rabbit
and
various goldfish
and theres a mouse in the house somewhere that I brought home from the park
I have been blessed. I adopt Strays. With my gramma it was never, "Look what followed me home, can I keep it?" It was "hey Look at my new Pet!" and gramma would be like "oh, how neat! what does it need, do you have a cage, food, etc?" Dude, my gramma Rules!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else surf the web with their pets... on them? I think most of us are probably guilty of this. Am I right? Let's see, over the years I've had birds crap on my shoulders, while online. LOL! A cat make a fur nest in my lap, while online. And a chi hold my arm captive for an arm rest, while I try to type. It's a good thing my german shepherd never wanted to lounge on my lap too often.

Does anyone else have any amusing stories they would like to share? I'd like to hear them!

Not that amusing, but I have an 115# Lab that sleeps at my feet while I'm working in my office and online. He actually blocks the entrance so I have to very carefully step over him to get out. We call him our own personal speedbump :)
