Ana Lucia and Jack

Hi, I'm new! But I've been watching the show from the first epi and I love it. I especially love the addition of Ana Lucia to the cast she is AWESOME! I think she'd be great with either Jack or Sawyer but I think I ultimately want her paired up with Jack. They've got a good story already with having met in the bar then both having to be the leaders of their particular group of survivors. They already seem meant to be and already have great chemistry even with having so few scenes together. Anyone else out there wanna see these two get together? I think they'd be great together, they have so much in common yet are opposites in alot of ways...a perfect fit.

I agree with you that they are setting her up to be with jack. I was interested to see how it would go from the episode where they met in the airport, but from how this season has been going I don't think it should happen. I think she has a lot more chemistry with sawyer (I know, I know. She hits him a lot, so therefore he hates her.) But I think there was some interesting tension in the earlier episodes that could turn into something.

I don't think that she should end up with Jack or Sawyer. I think that a love triangle may form between AL, Kate and Jack, but I hope Jack see's past her stupidity. And AL and Sawyer.... I really hope that doesn't happen. I love Saywer soooo much, and if anyone ends up with him, I hope it is Kate. I doubted very much that AL and Sawyer would end up together because of the way AL treated him before, and how she basically wanted to leave him passed out in the middle of the jungle, because she was scared that the others would see them if they waited for 2 seconds to make a stretcher to carry him.

Heh. The JackAL nick for that ship is deliciously evil, but I like Jack so I wouldn't wish it on him. I can't stand the AL character, so I'd prefer they leave her in a pit and maybe feed her once an episode or something. Of course, that won't happen, but pairing her with one of the main male characters is only going to piss me off. Sigh....

I agree. That is exactly what is going to happen. The writers are going to go wt Jackal and Skate for a bit...but I am still confident that by the end (whenever that is) that JATE will come to fruition.

Frankly, I don't recall a more naturally wholesome chemistry between two characters in any show in quite some time as that between Jack and Kate. There is chemistry between lots of the others as well but the bedrock of the show(from a couple perspective) is Jack and Kate.

I bought the DVD and have been watching season 1. I was wondering if anyone else shares my question that the material doen't seem exactly the same...or maybe my memoery is off.

i havn't seen season 2 - ive read them tho an i havn't seen jack an AL 2gether but just by reading it i can tell i dont relaly like her - maybe it'll change when i watch it - but he deserves better !

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing too! I think that Sawyer and Kate may have a romantic thing going on and Ana-Lucia and Jack will hit it off, but nothing long term will come of any of this. Then after a while they will switch it up.

I love Jana a lot more than Jate. Lately Kate only hangs out with Sawyer but I'm not a skater (ConMama :Headbang:rocks) so I don't know who Kate should be shipped with :confused:
Jack and Ana have great chemistry. Kate is too indescisive. I hope there is a lot more Jana this season

Ana Lucia should die. Really. I hate that character with a firery passion. And they say Kate only cares about herself. They should take a look at Ana. Like SareBear said, she didn't want to wait one freaking minute to help Sawyer. She's so snobby. It surprises me that she was a cop. Ana seems more like a criminal than Kate usually does. God, I hate Ana. I proudly ship Ana/the Monster or Ana/Polar Bear if I'm in a good mood.

Frankly, I see Kate ending up dead by the end of the show. Or in prison. If she wants to spend the rest of her life in romantic bliss (either with Sawyer or Jack), she'll have to stay on the island.

Frankly, I rather dislike Kate . . . which is probably why I'm not a Jate fan. I think there is something mentally wrong with her, and she is not to be trusted. I find it interesting that so many fans have fallen for that feminine, wide-eyed innocent act of hers, while they bash Ana-Lucia, who is completely the opposite. I guess that most fans prefer Kate, because she adheres to the feminine portrayal, despite being a "strong" woman.

I love Kate! All of the losties have there own little problems! IMO Ana-Lucia isn't any better then Kate.... not one bit! Ana-Lucia is trigger happy, stuck-up, thinks she knows everything.... (and the list goes on). I just can not stand her charecteur one bit! Is it because of Kate's past that you can not trust her and you think she is mentally ill? Cause Ana-Lucia seems more mentally ill and untrustworthy (based on her flashbacks) then what Kate is!

I like Jack, can't stand Ana-Lucia, and so of course, i personally am of the opinion that Jack deserves someone better than the trigger-happy, sourpuss Ana-Lucia. However, i definitely think that the show WILL go in this direction. Jack does not want to get hurt, so though he cares for and is attracted to Kate, he does not want to get involved with Kate. He will become involved with Ana-Lucia, i personally believe, out of a bit of spite for Kate's attraction to Sawyer and because he feels more "safe" with AL (i.e., unlike how he feels Kate will hurt him--i don't think he gets that vibe from AL). In other words, he will not go with his heart. Just my 2 cents.

Honestly, I wonder how long Jack's feelings for Kate can last. Why fall in love with a woman who is incapable of being honest and who regards you in the same manner that a sixteen year-old with a crush?

If you guys want Jack and Kate to be an item so bad, perhaps you should hope that the writers would allow them to stop regarding each other in such a ridiculously ideal manner.

Frankly, the Jack/Kate romance merely brings back bad memories of the overtly angst-filled, sophomoric Buffy/Angel romance of BUFFY's early years for me. I was so happy when he left the show for his own after BtVS's Season 3. But I guess we'll be stuck with Jack and Kate for years to come . . . unfortunately.

Kate's way too good for Jack in spite of her past,he deserves someone like AnaL.I don't believe in opposites making good pairings.
They both like to order people around, can't be trusted with power,and couldn't lead anyone across the street on a quiet Sunday afternoon with no traffic.
It's a match made in egotistc heaven,she can injure them to satisfy her hunger for power and he could fix them up so he can play God.

I think Jack is kind of carefully inching away from Kate. My theory is, and will remain, that because Sawyer said he loves Kate, Jack is going to back off. Jack seems like that sincere guy who wouldn't interfere with love, no matter what. He's the nice guy in all those sappy romantic movies who lets his best friend have the girl he loves. But doesn't wind up with her in the end, despite what Foxy thinks! :P

And I think that Ana and him would be a good match. Because they'd even each other out. Jack is sincere, caring, etc. Ana is arrogant, and yet, she and him connect. What he isn't, she is and vice versa. In that sense, they have that "opposites attract" type of connection. I think Kate and Jack is diminishing. Sorry Jaters!

But I have no hate against AnaL.
