I can't hear the words "wisdom teeth" without thinking of our experience with them. Here is the ultra-condensed version: I was pregnant with our first child and on strict bedrest due to pre-eclampsia. My husband's wisdom tooth suddenly started hurting majorly (turns out it was infected). Of course, I couldn't drive him to have it removed. He came home from the oral surgeon in pain only to be greeted at the door with "I think my water just broke." At the hospital when his ice pack melted, my doctor gave him something to put on it -- one of those combo feminine napkin/ice packs that women wear in the hours after giving birth. So he spent the rest of the night walking around the place with one of those on his jaw, much to the amusement of all the nurses who were pointing and snickering at him. During my other pregnancies, I told our dentist he'd better give my husband's wisdom teeth a good look-over ahead of time because I didn't want that to happen again.

I think you're more likely to recognize "your life flashing before your eyes" when you've lived that life yourself. Charlie clearly didn't see the pictures, but as Eko lived them, I'm pretty sure he recognized each and every one.

Actually, I found that particular Rosslyn image. Ralf realized first that it could have been Rosslyn, and posted a picture from another angle. I then googled "Rosslyn Chapel", and found that image.

Could we potentially use a service like the one linked below to watch the Hanso website (or any other site) ?

I have never used this service. (just found it a few minutes ago)

3-Putt has a good idea, pput technology to work for us. My eyes are burning. Probably from reading dozens of pages to catch up on BSS1.

I can't wait for February 13, when Flight 213 takes off. I wonder what the 9 stops are after it leaves LAX. A plane could make it from LAX to Craphole Island in probably 2 or 3 stops (well, Craphole itself doesn't count because Oceanic's flights don't land there, they always crash.)

I wonder if Vincent has already planned the itinerary, or if he is open to suggestions. Are we the passengers? 'Cause if so, we should have some say in the matter. Personally, I would really like to stop in Zanzibar, and then probably head over to Nigeria to check out Eko's old stomping ground.

Hi guys! What a day!!! It's flooding so bad around here that the city bus wasn't running at school. Talk about a mad scramble for transportation lol. Half of campus takes the bus. We might not even have class tomorrow (crossing fingers and toes).

I checked it out and signed up, but there is only one update sent a day, we would basicaly need like 24 people to have this work....It's pretty cool , and I did sign up, but I just don't think we have enough people for it to be effective. It will be nice to get the daily updates though...even if we don't notice sooner, we will notice at least when we get notified...thanks for the link!

I also wonder if just the home pages can be listed to recieve updates on the linked or sub pages as well, if you have to put every single page and link in there individually it could be very time-consuming. For what its worth, I added each of the Webmaze Homepages, and some of the subpages from OWA and Hanso......................and I set mine to give me updates at 800pm..........thanks for the link, 3-putt!

I can't hear the words "wisdom teeth" without thinking of our experience with them. Here is the ultra-condensed version: I was pregnant with our first child and on strict bedrest due to pre-eclampsia. My husband's wisdom tooth suddenly started hurting majorly (turns out it was infected). Of course, I couldn't drive him to have it removed. He came home from the oral surgeon in pain only to be greeted at the door with "I think my water just broke." At the hospital when his ice pack melted, my doctor gave him something to put on it -- one of those combo feminine napkin/ice packs that women wear in the hours after giving birth. So he spent the rest of the night walking around the place with one of those on his jaw, much to the amusement of all the nurses who were pointing and snickering at him. During my other pregnancies, I told our dentist he'd better give my husband's wisdom teeth a good look-over ahead of time because I didn't want that to happen again.

Truff gave me an interesting idea. I went and checked to see what was on ABC at 16, 15, 8 and 4 hours before Lost. The only thing that stood out was at 16 hours before Lost, ABC World News Now is on. oh, and for anyone interested.....the site that 3-putt mentioned here in the BBR last night is great.....at the time 3-putt brought it up last night, I signed up. The sign-up page leads you to beleive you get 1 update a day, but if you take a few minutes to set it up for every hour (24 updates), you get an email every hour on the hour with changes.

I have see mostly Niel and Valentine changes, for example, friends and advertisement changes, but it has also given me the updates for OEIL, and there was a change to HANSO about 3am this morning, although I can't find the change on the site, thinking it may have just been an alteration to source code in prep for a change (memo/photo/new link/something!)

So, if your interested, the free program/service www.watchthatpage.com is worth your while to check it out. We usually catch the updates pretty quick around here, but it might help if we happen to miss one, or if there is one hidden in source code or something. Just my 2 cents!

That sounds great, Lab. Hourly updates. I think I could live with that.

Just think. If we had set this up BH (Before Hodag), we could have debunked him immediately. ("No updates occurred, dude, so you couldn't have found this Copenhagen pic there.") On the other hand, look at all the fun (and learning and camaraderie) we would have missed out on. Ah, technology. It is a two-edged sword.

Edit: Come to think of it, I guess Hodag claimed that the file was in an images directory. Thus, we wouldn't have caught it with this system...or could we have ?

Lab, will WTP (WatchThatPage) let you set up a monitor on the images directory ?

3-putt....you can choose any page to be notified......for example if page is hansofoundation/images it would update you...you just need to select the page the images are on, not just the home page...hope that makes sense!

Thanks to Truff and Lab. I've re-formatted my big post to make it easier to read.

Anyone in bbr familiar with bss1 thread please check out my thread, posts 44 & 45 to let me know if you have anything to add. This information will be used to put together the bss1 map to track walt's movements on the island.

Great work, Suki! I am really temped to print everything (yours and yung's) out in color and post them on the wall behind compy for easy reference. My colleagues got used to the Hedwig poster, they will get used to Craphole Island too.

Thanks for the laugh, guys. This has been a horrible day at work and it looks like things aren't going to get better anytime soon. I don't care that I'm still at work, someone please pass me something alcoholic to drink. I need it.
