Okay, this call for my Alaska joke, an oldie but a goodie. Stop me if you've heard it.

There is this guy from Tulsa, OK whose wife has been insisting on an Alaska vacation for years, harping after him year after year. Finally he relents and they go to Alaska one March. After about two days the guy is totally bored with ice floes, glaciers, bergs, so he decides to hunt out a bar where the locals hangs out, get some color in the trip. After a few he gets a bit mouthy and starts to brag how great Tulsa is, and how backward Alaska is. Two of the locals look at each other and decide it is time to give him the "treatment". So one says, "Sir, you know to be considered a man in Alaska you have to perform three tasks. First you must down a fifth of gin, second you must kill a polar bear, and thirdly, you must make love to an eskimo girl" The Okie thinks about for a second and says "Bartender, a fifth of gin!" and guzzles it down and goes storming out the door. The locals are now happy that they can do their elbow bending in piece, but three hours later the Okie comes storming back into the bar, all torn up and bleeding. As I sit here at the bar in the corner of the boom boom room, I am simply astounded. This may be a waste of a post, but I believe this is the place to do it. I want to give sincere props to all of you who are participating in this thread and working on this stuff. I wont get into particular names, becuz there are so many of you that are impressive.

What truly astounds me is not so much the intellect here...that is to be expected, though it shouldnt be dismissed. The truly phenomenal thing to me is the combination of brains, humor, comraderie and spirit in the name of fun that I read coming from everyone. I just read The Dharma/Apollo timeline.....i sorta get where it came from...I have read the webmaze guide a few times...once again...sorta get it from a macro point of view and they are both simply incredible documents and summations of some truly incredible research. So obviously props to GP and to Truff for the eloquent summation and for providing us that are lurking with a way to enjoy from a distance. But I think the credit for these documents and the whole progression of this thing doesnt even come close to stopping there. Reading the threads, all of them here in the spin-off section, you all just deserve a big round of applause, a pat on the back and a basic "you are all effin cool" statement. Thanks for the enjoyment and keep up the good work. I am proud that I am allowed on flight 213 (i think that is right) will you all everybody.

Morning all. I successfully avoided a hangover last night, despite two bourbons, two snakebites and two glasses of wine. Guess that chicken sandwich provided adequate soakage in the stomach.

So I got home and was greted by intermittent cable outage. Therefore, I chose a sitcom that did not require me to actually pay attention - that new show about the A&R guy. I was reading the newspaper but snapped to attention when they gave a shoutout to to myspace. About 10 million more people will log on over there today, it is going to suck even more than usual. I hope Valentine is not planning anything.

OK so the Blackberry experiment is not as great as initially thought. It works, but has a few weird bugs- it caches pages to you have to keep refreshing and when you post it comes up with an error. The post posts ok, but then you have to log out, log in etc....

So I am going to sit and finish my beer, wish you all well and return on a more user friendly device and keep my Blackberry for those urgent OWA flight issue emails.

WTF!!! Locke has Lost his mind. When did he become such an a@@hole? Charlie brought up a good point. Kate sees a horse. Everyone sees wet Walt running around. Charlie sees something and it must be the drugs. Talk about stereotyping. The entire episode I wanted to jump into the TV and rip Lockes head off. Especially when he starte punching Charlie. That was uncalled for. There was no reason for Locke to do that. I can totally see the camp split we've been hearing about. Locke will definitely be leading one of the groups. Along with his trophy Claire. I haven't hated anyone up to this point, but if Locke keeps this up I'm gonna start a Locke Haters club.

On a lighter note. When do you think the island orgy is gonna start. The show has had alot of sexual tension ever since Kate kissed Jack. Last week Sawyer and his banana. Jack saying that Sawyer loves Kate. Hurley liking Libby. And she was flirting with him harcore. Too bad for him he's not better at flirting back. Sawyer asking Kate whate he thinks AL and Jack were doing in the woods. AL asking Jack if he's hitting that. (refering to kate of course.) which brings me to the Sawyer line of the night.

Morning all! Ah, some nice hot coffee to start the day. Can you believe one of my friends called me in the middle of Lost last night??? Lucky for her it was a commercial, so I have her 90 seconds.

I go both ways on the ep last night. I was happy to see a return to the character-driven show we all love, it has been a while. But I am so addicted to the webmaze I am frustrated that the ep didn't move it forward.

I will be stopping over in the creative thread first this morning. A new ep alwas fills my head with the unspoken conversations. Way to go Charlie for finally bringing up the elephant in the room.

Now, before I run off, what is up with that washing machine?? Libby is right, it's brand new. They have a brand new Kenmore but the success of the containment system rests on an Apple II? Very suspicious. I read this Stephen King story once where some industrial laundry machines came to life and killed people. Maybe it's an EVIL washing machine! From now on I will call it the Washing Machine of Death, or WMD for short.

'Saved' his father from making a grievious mistake by reporting him, lost his father to death
Kate: 'Saved' her mother from her husband, lost her freedom

You can also open you're edit sig screen, and have a thread open with the banner in it, and size the screens to you can see both of them and then just drag the image into the signature area.

Pen-e-lope.....I am with you....I really started to dislike Locke this week, and I felt bad for Charlie. Didn't deserve the treatment he got. Locke was a 1st class asshat and I will dislike him soon if it persists.

Now, let me tell on myself, when Charlie was running to the water with Aaron the first time, in the daylight, when Locke was a little further down the beach and looked at what was going on, the way the sun was hitting his eye sockets, I swore I was looking at his eyeballs and that the pupils were missing.....I bugged out, thinking he had been possessed or taken over by the Island or something, had to replay to notice that I was just seeing skin around his eye socket, not empty eyes.....I felt really dumb afterward, but figured I would share this just to see if anyone else briefly may have thought the same thing.

My casual watching friends (and my husband and son) all thought last night's episode wasn't that great, but none of them are losing interest at all. They just thought that after the excitement of the last two episodes, this one was kind of slow moving. (And none of them cares much for Charlie, so that probably didn't help.) Everyone I talked to agreed though that something weird is up with Locke.
