Well we average 55+ inches of snow here each winter, Dani. I'd send you some if I could. These past couple of weeks have been unbelievably nice though. We hit 60 degrees on Saturday, and that's unheard of for January.

THE 4,000th POST OF THE TRUFFULA

The opening sequence from Pilot (Part One) was so well done, I decided to start watching LOST.

And so it begins.

Then the revelation that Locke was in a wheelchair before the crash in Walkabout, what I consider to be one of the coolest reveals I've ever seen, I was HOOKED. It was that moment that made me start lurking here (but that's not my point).

When I saw Mira Furlan's name in the credits for Solitary, I knew we were in for a treat. Ms. Furlan is an AMAZING actress. I particularly liked her character Delenn from the show Babylon 5. And when we met Danielle Rousseau, and got her story (well, some of it) everything stepped up a notch.

The FBs of Claire's visits with the psychic are still just as creepy as the first time I saw them. Raised by Another is one of those episodes that when we know more, going back and looking at some of the things that went down will be shocking. Special is another one of those "once we know more" episodes.

Numbers was the one that blew my mind. Seeing those numbers on the Hatch at the end....too much. I believe this was the first time I actually screamed at my tv while watching LOST.

And it just kept on coming. Deus Ex Machina is one of my favorite episodes so far. The light in the Hatch goin on made me yell again. And that was the one that drove me over the edge, and I began posting (but that's not my point).

The closing sequence in Do No Harm is one of the most beautiful pieces of television I have EVER seen. That score by Michael Giacchino is SO GOOD, and I know I've mentioned that before, but it needs to be said over and over.

The season finale episodes for Season One, Exodus, were three of the most compelling hours of LOST I had experienced. The return of Rousseau, the reveal of the Black Rock, the raft setting sail (another one of the finest moments in tv history, IMO), our first look at the "Monster", the Others taking Walt, and finally, the opening of the Hatch. Too bad we had to wait so long to see what was in it, but it was worth it come Sept. :D

Orientation also had me yelling at my tv. But this time my brother joined in. The birth of the Dharma Film. Dr. Marvin Candle, Gerald and Karen DeGroot, and of course, Alvar Hanso. "We're gonna need to watch that again". I lost count after about 50 views or so.

The opening shot of The Other 48 Days is one of the most intense things I've ever seen. I jumped. I still jump everytime I watch it. I cannot WAIT to see the season finale.

Since What Kate Did, I have been dumbfounded how good the show is getting. The Webmaze makes it EVEN BETTER.
The MINDSCANNER, the OTHERS, and Amelia Earhardt's plane in Charlie's havid....INSANITY.

So for post 4000, I would like to say an enormous THANK YOU to..... LOST!!!
To ALL the people associated with making this show happen - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! :D
The actors - simply brilliant work. All of you.
The writers - unbelievable so far.
Michael Giacchino - you are a GOD. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
The head honchos - JJ, Damon, Javi, Carlton - I hope you realize you are revolutionizing television the way we know it. LOST is hands down the greatest thing since sliced bread. And I mean that.

To close I'll thank all the art folks and cinematographers that do such an excellent job of showing the beauty of Oahu.

Not gonna go off topic in the OWA thread, but something Dani just posted over there reminded me of a dream I had when I was in my early teens.

I had heard of parallel universes somewhere, and I had a dream that there was a parallel universe existing inside the mirrors of my house. And somehow the Jeannie on the other side of the mirror (in the parallel universe) got the dates with the cutest jocks, and had straight A's but never opened a book, and was friends with all the coolest kids, and never, ever got a pimple...

I woke up and for the longest time I couldn't look in the mirror without getting mad at my reflection. LMAO! I can't believe I remember that!

ETA: I keep forgetting to tell Penelope and Dani how cute their kitties are! :)
