Very interesting 3-Putt.
I don't think I've ever seen that connection made anywhere before.
That is one hell of a catch if it turns out to be the same woman.

A possible sequence of events:
As we know from flashbacks, some people on the island were “maneuvered” to place them there.
An Australia-based Dharma agent (Arlene) somehow maneuvers Desmond to shipwreck on the island (where he meets Kelvin). Desmond is still unaware of Arlene’s complicity and keeps her photo prominently on his shelf in the bunker.
Kelvin teaches Desmond all about the Swan bunker, including the need (for some reason) to inject themselves with the contents of the vials that are labeled with the “numbers”. Unknown to them, the injections alter their DNA.
One day Kelvin disappears and Desmond assumes he is dead. However, Kelvin has somehow gotten off the island and goes to Australia.
Kelvin changes his name to Thomas. The similarities in Thomas’ artwork to the bunker mural can be seen here:
http://www.cs.iastate.edu/~andorfc/iowa_mural.html
Kelvin/Thomas meets Claire and passes on his altered DNA by fathering Aaron. Dharma finally tracks down Kelvin/Thomas and finds out about the pregnancy. Dharma resolves to “obtain” Aaron.
Dharma makes their first attempt to take Aaron by dispatching an Australia-based agent (Arlene) to adopt the unborn Aaron. The attempt fails when Claire changes her mind at the last minute (probably influenced by the failure of the pens to work, which was probably caused by Aaron in utero).
why are none puzzled from the box in the hatch and at kates ?

This is from Exodus Part 1.
But I can't remember it.

We are puzzled, yung, but there's not all that much we can do, lol. Plus there is a thread somewhere I think, where it's been discussed. I think I saw it a while ago, but I can't remember where, lol.
There's a few things like that. Although I can only think of one right now, haha.
There was a lava lamp at Thomas' house, there was also one in the hatch...

Sayids - I think the tall child looks like Claire. I did notice the Hawaiin lei's that they are wearing.
3-putt - For your theory to work, we would have to discount the hint that Kelvin died 48 days before the survivors entered the hatch, just a few days before the crash. It would also mean Desmond should of said "gone missing" or "Kelvin left". It would be a big stretch to say someone died just because they quit their job and walked out.

The Kelvin dying 48 days ago was from Dharma Inc. who claimed to be an insider, but we don't know.
why are none puzzled from the box in the hatch and at kates ?
OK, this post is admittedly way "out there", but what-the-heck.
I don't know if anyone remembers another theory that I posted on the Copenhagen photo thread, so here it is again. (Afterwards, I will attempt to tie it in to "the box in the hatch and at kate's".)
I have long held the thought in the back of my mind that the Island has a rejuvenation capability, meaning it can not only bring people back to life but it can rejuvenate them. In other words, return them to an earlier physical age.
Are the children somehow necessary for this process ? In other words, to make one person younger, another person's physical age is increased ? (Could that be how they are going to explain Walt's sudden growth spurt ? (The Others used him to rejuvenate Christian or even Ethan or Goodwin.)
Now, suppose this rejuvenation capability is not limited to humans. The box on Kate's mantle, to me, looks like an urn. Suppose Kate had a favorite black horse who died and it was cremated. Kate might have placed that little black horse in front of the urn as a commemorative to her beloved Blackie (my choice for a name).
Now, somehow (don't ask me how or why) Blackie's urn made it to the island and Blackie was reconstituted and rejuvenated. This could be another interpretation of Kate's question to Sayid (and others)..."Do you believe in ghosts ?" The writers are very fond of making you think one thing when something else is happening (viewers were supposed to be thinking that Kate was referring to Sawyer channeling Wayne, when really she was referring to Blackie's appearance even though she knows he is dead).
The thing that throws me off is that Kate (who has spent mucho time in the bunker) hasn't recognized that urn (yet!).

3-Putt - I spent about an hour this afternoon looking at cremation urns just to see if I could find one to match the 8 sided box (how many sides on a Dharma sign?), but couldn't find one(not even for animals). But an urn was my first impression also. It may be they are just putting in 8 sided objects to mess with our heads. But your theory might not be far off.

That picture behind Eko and Michael looks to be rather interesting. I can't make it out too well, though. About the "urn"...
When my siblings and I were like 7 and younger, we had this toy silo thing. The top would open, and toy animals were inside.
When I first saw it, that's what I thought of.
Although an urn would make sense too... I just don't know if I like the rejuvination thing that much... Seems to close to sci-fi for me I guess, lol.

Ralf has been mentioning the Philadelphia Experiment in the Agents thread, and I know there's a great thread in T&S on this from Chance and Pinnerman.
Some of the things you mention here would go over real well there, get some serious thinkers pondering your ideas.

If my theory is correct and Christian's body was rejuvenated from his coffin and Blackie's body was rejuvenated from his urn, then I will predict a future scene right now:
Charlie returns for some reason to Ethan's grave and finds it...[dramatic pause]....empty.
Come on, admit it, you got a slight chill up your spine, didn't ya ?

Remember this scene (foreshadowing ?)
Charlie: "Hurley, look, I appreciate the help. You don't have to. I killed Ethan. I can bury him."
Hurley: "Yeah, 'til he rises from the dead. Dude, I know how this works. This is going to end with you and me running through the jungle screaming and crying. He catches me first because I'm heavy and... I get cramps."

We hope to have the show available on our site (3 or 4 songs at a time) within a week or so into the New Year.
I LOVE playing music for people on NYE. There is NO OTHER night of the year where the ENERGY just FLOWS.
On a side note, at every NYE Phish show I've seen, the ENERGY was so intense you could practically see it, or take a bite out of it, it was so INTENSE.
Good vibes just surround EVERYTHING on NYE.

ILE - Most of IA is farms, and Wayne & Diane's house was a typical size for IA, small. (I'm the only wacko around who lives 22,000 sq ft home in IA). The farms are big, though. Nothing like a typical farm in the North East or New England. 2,500 acres is common around here, and while there are some cows and hogs, there are not a plethera of horses, especially riding horses (most draft horses were replaced by Deere).
Kate couldn't of grown up in IA without having some working knowledge of farming, so the writers did get that pretty accurate.

I know and agree.
But I was just saying ;)
LOL.
Indulge me one more time. I just had one more thought (just now) about Kelvin/Thomas.
You know how these writers just love to mess with our minds by making us think one thing about a character and then later get us to change our minds by revealing something else in a flashback ?
Ok, remember how you felt when Thomas abandoned Claire while she was pregnant ? Despise him much ? Yeah, me too.
OK, suppose, in a future flashback, we find out that Thomas became aware that Dharma was about to locate him. So, in order to protect Claire and the baby from Dharma, he sacrifices his relationship with them by leaving ? Now, how do you feel about Thomas ?
ILoveEko
12-31-05, 03:27 AM
Well if he broke it off with Claire to protect her and Aaron, then it makes him seem better.
That makes me think of Ana... Did Danny knock her up, but then broke it off cuz he was part of Dharma too and knew he was going to have to leave (following you're theory above)?

So now he would be an asshat AND a coward.
He may be thinking "If Dharma can find me once, they can find me again. So, if I take Claire with me and try to run, I am dooming them."
What other choice could he have made ? Fight ? One man against an amoral multinational conglomerate ? That's fine if one is only dooming oneself but there is a baby to think of.
Where do you get these theories 3-putt?
deep, man, deep
....but completely plausible and beliveable
rottenralf
12-31-05, 03:49 AM
3-Putt - I am looking it from the viewpoint that this amoral international conglomerate would go after him and any weakness he would have, and that abandoning Claire and his unborn child, without even a warning about the dangers they could be in is pretty low.
If he was fleeing from Dharma, then he left Claire and Aron behind because she is preggy and she gets cramps. I just don't see that he took the high road in any way, shape of form.

ralf,
I wasn't trying to stand in Thomas' corner in any way.
I was simply trying to do what I call "thinking like the writers".
They seem to like to throw us curves about these characters. You know, the old "don't judge a book by its cover" business.
They have turned most people's opinion around 360 degrees regarding Sawyer and Jin and others. Actually, they have spun me through 360 degrees several times regarding the Kate character.
I just look for ways that they might continue this trend with other characters.

In Walkabout, when Locke and his fellow employee are playing that little war game thing at their lunch break, the peices to the game are army guys... Dark and light. White and black/dark green (can't tell).

In the post linked below, VM says he is in Sydney this week:

I started thinking that perhaps we could nail this guy because I know that writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach keeps a blog site over here:

So, I was thinking that, if he slipped up and admitted that he was in Sydney on his blog site, that we would have the guy nailed.
Only, in the second entry there, he says he spotted some celebs in LA this week. So, unless he's lying, at least we know that VM is not Javier.

Really, that is the only way to proceed.
The mysteries are so numerous that it really only makes sense to focus on a few things. I prefer to focus on some of the mysteries that TPTB have said will be revealed in the short term (this season). At least, they have said that "more" will be revealed, probably not "all". I have four on my list (2 of them I have posted about tonight).
1. Why did Ethan take Claire ? (Thomas' DNA ?)
2. What is the significance of the black horse ? (rejuvenated from the urn ?)
3. Where has Desmond been ? (I really thought for a while that the Copenhagen photo was TPTB's way of ramping up to the re-introduction of Desmond. Oh, well. Hodag, you magnificent bastard, you ramped it up all by your lonesome.)
4. What caused the plane to crash ? (And, OceanicLisa, this leads me to your avatar. Notice on your avatar that the horizontal stabilizer wing has been torn off.
http://img15.imgspot.com/?u=/u/05/321/15/tailmark1132346967.jpg
It has been theorized on another thread (not by me!) that if a meteor hit Mr. Cluck's, then could another meteor have torn off that stabilizer wing ? (a continuation of Hurley's bad luck from the numbers)
I don't happen to subscribe to that particular theory, but I think it was very imaginative to think of it.
What is that flaming up on the left...and was the seat crashing into
our Point-Of-View supposed to distract us from it ?
Maybe it's a submerged anti-aircraft gun, a part of Dharma Station No. 5 of 6, "the Guppy". ;)

I feel like I've been drinkin those Samuel Jacksons all night!!!
That and I'm exhausted between last night's madness and all the snowman stuff today.
So here's where I'm at as far as the Webmaze is concerned (and I could be wrong):
- mrclucks is done for a while
- the Snowman at Hanso "secret" facility is the Endgame for this round from KCSP
- with no more reruns, OWA will have to do something different for their Evil Hiatus Endgame - it should be "good".
- BSS1 has one more BIG thing to offer, but I think someone will have to be there at the right time to see it.
- And we're not getting into any of the Dharma sites until the summer for sure
That's all for tonight.
Tomorrow is gonna be a VERY hectic day for me. I hope that it will be for the ones running the Maze too. That way we don't miss anything. ;)
So psyched for NYE!!!! :D

This is a great thread. No haters over on this side of the board. Just a bunch of people having fun with Lost. I got tired of the repetetive BS in the episode threads. 50 pages of the same argument. Or how terrible Lost is. Anyone know of anything intersting in the General section? I pop in at least once a day, but haven't seen anything worthy since the Pipe Thingy thread. That was pretty intersting for awhile. If you haven't seen it you should check it out.
if you right click on the border of aralai.com, you will see on properties that it was updated 12/29/2005. The image doesn't say, probably because it is a gif image, but something was done to the page.
Nothing was done to the page Ralf. Go to any webpage right click properties and then look at the time on your computer. It was you. LOL
Nice clip Truff. By far the best scene of Lost to date.
Oh Truff please don't start that again. I thin kthere was a thread dedicated to what Eko said and what he meant. LOL
You know I too thought VM and 3-Putt's dogs looked similar, but I never checked.

http://au.geocities.com/iseethelightandthelightisblue/Dharma.htm

1) http://au.geocities.com/iseethelightandthelightisblue/Index2.htm
loads flash animation of blue screen - the word "blue" - michael giacchino soft piano theme music (nice to keep playing all the time :)) http://au.geocities.com/iseethelightandthelightisblue/Carlyle_group_666.swf
inviso-text: If you press the button you will find the key to your.......----------------------------->>>^^
2) http://au.geocities.com/iseethelightandthelightisblue/Index3.htm
loads flash animation of quick-flashing words: 2.11 We will see blood O YES There Will BE blood
also loads audio of jet airplane flying overhead, loud BOOM!, an organ playing a "horror-theme" chord
http://au.geocities.com/iseethelightandthelightisblue/815_no_more.swf
1101100 is repeated six times, with the following inviso-text with links between each line:
4 links to a "notporn" website that throws pop-ups at you
8 links to www.hansotten.com (http://www.hansotten.com)
15 links to www.turnkeybrochures.com/phototuvalu.html (http://www.turnkeybrochures.com/phototuvalu.html)
23 links to www.lostenterprises.com/prod/index.php (http://www.lostenterprises.com/prod/index.php)
42 links to www.fearofflyinghelp.com/ (http://www.fearofflyinghelp.com/)
for 16 it just has the text: "Mas, brune -16- Mas, brune"
inviso-text at bottom: "some primary notions...Characters as it were stamped upon the Mind of Man, which the Soul receives in its very first Being; and brings into the world with it" - John Locke
that's all I've found for now... don't see how these two pages link to the pages previously discovered, though...
edited to add: aw hell, I just went over to the other thread and see you guys have already gotten all this...
but I *did* snag the flash animations; for those having bandwidth issues, they're reposted here:

Where do I get these theories ?
From a discount warehouse in New Jersey. ;)
So thats why when I go shopping there they are always out! You bastard!!! I will have to drive further and check the "Discount Theory Outlet" up by Woodbury Commons, conveniently located just off of exit 16 on the New York Thruway!!

Morning, er. afternoon all! Awesome job on those links jocko
ralf, you are da man with that "G" find, tha structure chart you linked has got be the source of the G.....great find!
Hi everyone. I've been lurking on this board for a month or so now, but this is the first time I had something of value to add...
I received an e-mail from Marvin Candle yesterday with a NEW website! It should be linked off the King Cross State Police site. The Snowman has his own mobile site. It was updated several times yesterday, and you can sign up to receive text messages from him. Here's the link: http://www.th3sn0wman.com/
Also, one site that Truff didn't include in the overall description is the Channel 4 website. I'm not sure that it really has "clues", but it's a pretty fun game. Here's the link: http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/L/lost/main.html

THanks for the tip ralf! I am going go south and try Red Bank NJ tonight. I am going there for New Years Eve anyway, I'll see what they have. Auld Lang Syne?
Auld Lang Syne?
you know, that New Years Song:
http://www.rabbie-burns.com/thepoems/images/auld.gif
CHORUS
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?
And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
And surely I'll be mine,
And we'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!
We twa hae run about the braes,
And pou'd the gowans fine,
But we've wander'd monie a weary fit,
Sin auld lang syne.
We twa hae paidl'd in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin auld lang syne.
And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o thine,
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.
:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
or some version of that ol fine Scottish yarn........haha
Auld Lang Syne
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Jump to: navigation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auld_Lang_Syne#column-one), search (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auld_Lang_Syne#searchInput)
Auld Lang Syne (Eng (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language): times gone by), by Robert Burns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Burns), is one of the best known songs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Song) in English-speaking countries. Yet, perhaps because it was originally written in the Scots language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scots_language), often people can recall the melody (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melody) easily but know only a fraction of the words.
It is usually sung each year on New Year's Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Year%27s_Day) (Hogmanay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogmanay) in Scotland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland)) in the United Kingdom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom), the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) and English speaking Canada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada) at midnight (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight) and signifies the start of a new year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year). It is also used as a graduation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graduation) song and a funeral (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funeral) song in Taiwan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwan), symbolizing an end or a goodbye. In Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan), many stores play it to usher customers out at the end of a business day. In the United Kingdom, it is played at the close of the annual Congress (conference) of the Trades Union Congress (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trades_Union_Congress). Before the composition of Aegukga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegukga), the lyrics of Korea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea)'s national anthem was sung to the tune of this song. Also, before 1972 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1972), it was the tune for the Gaumii salaam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaumii_salaam) anthem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthem) of The Maldives (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maldives) (with the current words). The University of Virginia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Virginia)'s fight song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight_song) (The Good Old Song) also carries the same tune. In Portugal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal), this song is used to mark a farewell, especially in the boy scout movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_Scouts).
It has also been used on other occasions as a farewell. One occasion that falls in this category was in October (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October) 2000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000), when the body of former Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Trudeau) left Parliament Hill (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliament_Hill) in Ottawa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottawa) for the last time, going to Montreal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal) for the state funeral (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_funeral_of_Pierre_Trudeau).

I just got a bizarre "StealthMessage" in my e-mail inbox from "Lars Navaho". I was given a hint, had to put in an answer, and then I was able to "decode" the message (it was a bunch of random letters and numbers).
This is the decoded message, but I don't know what it means:
nun de m'eon oligos te kai outidanos kai aeikes
phagedaina d'he mou sarkas esthiei podos
EDIT: I just Googled it, and got:
Yet a small man, worthless and unseemly
The tumor which is eating the flesh of my foot.
I don't know what it means, but it might have to do with me e-mailing him the Copenhagen picture. Haha.
