I found my gin and tonic lore - it's from somewhere in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

I have a couple good powers if you need back up. Two religious prozletizers left rather quickly when I showed them how to make bees fly in a different direction. Can't argue with success, and they couldn't control bees! I was very nice to them, though, and wished them success with their quest.

Seems a bit out there to be an official project of the zoo. Whatever is up with that, it is not all bad. How convenient that he has contacts in areas related to the show. Or, to put it another way, how totally brilliant is he that he was able to make connections between the show and the places where his contacts live?
