Good morning all...
Ok, this is sad, but I dream about LOST now... and last night, I had a dream that gave me a good idea that would involve you guys, and I think I'd like to put forth the idea now, even thou I don't think I'd like to implement it till the summer. I know how sad it is when LOST is on hiatus for the summer, I was thinking we could form a LOST book-club? We could read/discuss books that either relate to or have been mentioned on the show.

I'm sure a lot of the books have been discussed in the other forums here, and I haven't read all of them thou. So I was thinking we could do it in a book-club fashion, we all choose a book together, and say we'd discuss a few chapters every friday or something. Anyhow, it's just an idea to throw out there for this summer when we're feeling LOST deprived.

We are really getting hit here in upstate New York. High winds knocked down a branch and sent me scurrying! I had just started a BBR good morning when I had to yank the phone line out of the computer to call 911. Thankfully, no lines down here yet, and Mom's oxygen is still pumping. I've got the portable tank set up next to her, and she is more calm than I am. My heart's in the right place; I rescued my cat and got him in the house, where he is hiding just in case something else falls out of the sky.

The funniest thing was when I got through to 911 and told them about the tree branch, the woman said, "is this Kathy?" I was just so grateful that my brother did not answer (he is a 911 emergency dispatcher) that I could only squeak when I tried to talk. Brother is also a fire chief, and he does not approve of anyone in the family calling 911 unless it is an extreme emergency (not just a regular emergency).

You're english seems very good thou! I'm always in admiration of ppl who speak/understand more than 1 language, I'm still mastering this whole English thing. I was thinking books like Wrinkle in Time, or some of the Stephen King books, or some of the other classics/more popular titles. I haven't been into Stephen King before, and I may have read Wrinkle in Time when I was little, but I don't remember much of it. I wouldn't doubt a lot of those books would have translations. I know some ppl have read some of these books before, and we've brought up points about them kinda hap-hazardly. As you guys might have noticed, I'm all into getting ideas organized.

Kathaclysm - I am not much of a reader. I am a tv junkie so even when shows are in repeats, I find something else to watch. And to anyone who's not into reading, books on tape ROCK! You put them in, and you can listen on the drive to work, as you're cleaning, etc. Many Libraries have them too. I'm queen multi-tasker that way.

ETA: Or books on CD, and you can download MP3 books I guess these days... depending on how high-tech you are.

Morning all! I hate Fridays, I don't get to work until 10:30 and by that time I have many pages of post-whoring to wade through.

Good news, though! The boss is out sick, so I am free to post all I like today. I gotta get my fix, I will be ofline all weekend. Driving to NJ to my parents house tonight, go from NJ to Philly tomorrow. Wake up Sanday wuth massive champagne-induced hangover and drive to fabulous Catonsville, Maryland for a Daytona 500 party, finally back home to sleep of the holiday on Monday. Guess I am going to miss the flight, but I know we have a great team working on it. And I don't live near Nashville anyway.

I will be putting away a lot of alcohol this weekend, but I am ready for it. Can you believe I have not been in a bar since last Friday night? That is unusual for me, I am usually in a bar at least 4 nights a week. Thank God I live near a liquor store, so I had some pinot grigio to get me through.

Thanks super. I am now humming that song, and I suspect that it will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. My middle son loved the Tiki Room when he was small, so I heard that song a lot.

The worst though was the year we went when my youngest son had just turned three. It was his first trip there and he fell in love with the It's a Small World ride. Husband and older boys refused to ride it again, so they went elsewhere while I, being the good mommy, took youngest for another ride.

Halfway through, the boat stopped. Ok, I can deal for a few minutes. And mind you the boats stopped but the music played on... and on... and on. Forty-five freaking minutes later we started up again.

When we finally got to the exit, the girl helping people off looked at my face and told me the queue for the valium was forming to the left. That song was stuck in my head for days. I still can't ride that ride. It was a nightmare!
