No need to PM, this info might be helpful for some of those who are just now joining us :)
This site is part of the KCSP (kingcrossstatepolice.com) portion of the webmaze.
And the answer is 23.
I put that equation thru the advanced calculator on my cpu in every way possible and every time the answer was 23.

Hope that helps! :D

Ok, I saw it mentioned in another thread. I had my husband, the extra smart math person, figure it out and we got some -200 -plus number. Quite strange. But right now, the site is useless, to me.

But then others, like myself, understand that :Cowdance: is a science in itself, with many questions to be answered such as, why does the cow dance? How is the dance affected by different stimuli? etc.

ETA:

In some senses, yes. The opposite also works: if we are on different "sides" in a webmaze, the BBR is a truce zone. For example, here I say that VA is one of the sweetest people I've met through the spinoff forum, and a treasure. Now, will I ever say that in the Alvar Hanso thread? Heck no, there she's a shameless propaganda fiend.

Just to be on the safe side, ya'all everybody. I think we should come up with a suitable alibi. Joopers, it usually isn't so quiet here. I think at least some people are mourning Javi's announcement. Plus a few nights ago we had a wild and crazy night in our old Boom Boom Room. Say no more VeeAyetheCPA. Why, just the other night we had a similar incident in our clubhouse. Well, I won't go into details, but suffice it to say it involved white suits, disco balls, and the loss of poor Lucky's hair. (Please don't let her see you looking; she's a bit self-conscious.)

I have always wondered what would be involved regarding the Mathematical Forecasting initative. Based on the subjects provided in "Orientation", I've assumed this is the meteorological subject. I'm a meterologist myself, but not in numerical modeling aka mathematical forecasting, though I do work in tropical cloud physics.

C-o-l-a cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said lola
L-o-l-a lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Hi VeeAyetheCPA and Rose, how did you know we're all the new folks and together, what, just because Zenmaster is singing Lola the Showgirl off key ?? (whispers hey guys I guess we haven't yet blended in as locals And Lucky who knows what hair color is next... this is really, really wild!) :celebrate

VeeAyetheCPA and Rose, thanks for the warning about wildness I am keeping my motherly eye on my group, but if things get too wild, I was never here, OK?

I have always wondered what would be involved regarding the Mathematical Forecasting initative. Based on the subjects provided in "Orientation", I've assumed this is the meteorological subject. I'm a meterologist myself, but not in numerical modeling aka mathematical forecasting, though I do work in tropical cloud physics.

Very interesting, Aggiesean! I think that is most logical. (But I'm also hoping that it also somehow answers the great question of what those darned numbers mean.) Just a couple of days ago we were discussing MEMS and HAARP.

No, post counts don't expire or have a 90 day limit. My post count is everything I've ever posted, including a few posts I made when this was on EZBoard. Okay, Zen, you've been teasing us for days about your memory research. What exactly happens when your memories "blend"?

As you grow older, your mind starts inserting events, people or things into previous memories...Such as thinking you "danced all day and drank all night under electric candle light" with Danielle instead of Lola.... The neurons in our brains won't fire correctly unless we keep building and using our neuro networks! The research I read said that certain types of people are more susceptible to suggestion than others, that once being told a "story", if a group of people corroborate the "story," then somehow it is more believable, and gets stored as a false memory. Exposure to electromagnetism can play with the way your memories are stored on an electrical level. I don't think any of our Losties suffered hippocampus damage, that would definitely make their memories uncredible (is that a word?). I just have a feeling that the electromagnetic field keeps our Losties memories crossing into other Losties memories for a reason.....

FYI, we're not missing anything on general. A thread called "Is It Wrong To Eat A Cadbury Egg?" is at the top of page one. They call that fun? Although, it is a good question. I look forward to Cadbury eggs each Easter, yet they kind of make me feel sick. But I digress. It's clear that this is the place to be.

Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand

And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows the tune she hums

Joopers, I have to step in here. I see no need for a Joopers thread and the Boom Boom Room. You all seem to have migrated here, which is not a problem, but even our most "post-whorish" posters dont burn through 10 pages in 1 hour, this is not the ABC boards, these posts are here forever. Believe it or not, we like to have "serious on-topic discissions" on these forums as well. There are discussions on different aspects of Lost all over this forum. The particular thread you are in now is the chat thread for the webmazers, those who follow the Lost websites. There are other threads on the forum discussing every episode, character, theory....you name it. I have seen the board you all use and even your threads, you seem to just be a discussion group, well if you take a look upstairs in the other areas of the forum, you can find any topic you like to discuss on seperate threads. There are also areas in Lostaways where you can post chit-chat like you are doing now just to up your post count, such as this one, http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10084 , or to leave less clutter for the Webmazers home. I am sure they love having you, but you have really just come in and taken over their thread. Some are not happy, and I can not say I blame them. Picture good ol Zeke on the Island in "The Hunting Party" talkin to Jack, Locke, and Sawyer about strangers coming in and messing with others things. That is kind of the way, some of these guys feel right now.

" Tell me, you go over a man's house for the first time, do you take off your shoes? Do you put your feet up on his coffee table? Do you walk in the kitchen, eat food that doesn't belong to you?"

Please don't go so post crazy here in the Boom Boom Room, the home of the webmazers, post in moderation, or use the Joopers thread, or move to your home forum, or spread your discussion to other areas of the forum, and not just the Boom Boom Room Thread.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. I am locking this thread momentarily until I know you have had a chance to read this. I will leave the Joopers thread open, if you have questions or comments, I will be happy to talk to you and address them there.

Love and Respect!

Lab

Streaking and curling just don't seem to go together, IMO.

I actually remember when streaking was THE thing to do. And yes, on one very drunken night I streaked through my then-boyfriend's neighborhood on a bet. I won $300 that night! :)

But it was summer and I wasn't streaking on the ice.

They did a good job of cutting away and referring to it as a "disturbance on the ice." They went to the wide-angle shot (no, not because of that! :no-no:). Of course, you could still see someone on the ice that was an...out-of-place beige color, being led away by tall people in security coats, complete with the skips laughing into their mikes.

I remember a guy who streaked around at the college I went to in 1972. Many years later, I worked at the Registrar's Office at the same college. When he called to request a transcript, I immediately remembered his name, and said, "Oh, yes, no problem. How interesting, I see you were a streaker in April of 1972." -- Complete silence -- "It does?" I had to come to clean, but it was a fun moment!

Can you imagine calling for your transcript and hearing that? And the guy had decided, after being a lawyer for a few years, to go to medical school. He didn't remember me at all (because I didn't streak, ya think). I guess it didn't occur to him that Streaking 101 wasn't on any of his previous transcipts.

It was one of my more enjoyable moments on a college phone. One day, a father of a student told me he would have my job. I said, "Oh, you'll like my job. You get to talk to the nicest people."

Pene and Jeannie--You went hWo? I still can't decide. How are the foot massages?
Rose--Fisher is a fat little girl cat :p

So, I'm going to tell on myself (a silly streaking story)! I used to work on a trail crew out west in a wilderness area. There was never anyone else around (it was a huge place). So, my crew and I would always jump in a lake or creek after work to clean off. One particular evening, we decided to not get dressed after our dunk, and hike back to camp naked. Well wouldn't you know; we ran into a troop of boy scouts! I think they were more shocked than we were.

All right, move along, nothing to see here...

Astudy conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features; if she is menstruating or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with scissors lodged in his temple and duct tape over his mouth while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.
