I am from Atlanta but I lived in Wilmington NC from 1993 - 1997. I have a marine biology degree from there and worked for National Fisheries rescuing sea turtles for a couple of years. Very boring work.
Especially when I really want to be home helpin to figure out the latest goodies from the maze!!

There's no way the network would agree to have something big like this happen online relating one of the most popular shows on television conflicting tonight with its own airing of the biggest bowl game of the season (Texas-USC). LOST has been able to operate pretty freely from ABC (though ABC has stepped in before (moving up the Charlie episode in S1 for starters)), so KCSP could still do stuff during the game and still be connected to the real show, but an ABC-sponsored maze wouldn't do anything during the game.

i disagree aggie , it doesn't take the entire staff to do the football game, my awesome FSU/Penn State game was on ABC last night, and there were still updates....granted it wasn't National Championship, but still...... I'm just not with you on this one, bud!

llama gary.......a repositioning flight is simply this: the equipment is needed in a different location.....for a passenger flight later. My late father was an airline pilot. This happens pretty often. There may have been a mechanical problem with another aircraft and so this aircraft was being "ferried" to another station. This also occurs occasionally when an aircraft is due for inspection.


lab5........the response to your question was ridiculous. There is NO possible way an aircraft of that size has only 2 crew members. If any of these clues concerning other flights that disappeared are grounded in reality, then it is NO coincidence that only 2 crew members are listed. In other words, it would have to be implying something. If it is simply a fan site and not grounded in any insider info, then, yes, listing only 2 crew could just be an unknowing error on the part of the creator of the memo.

Ralf.....I confess to having disappeared from the OWA realm as soon as it was "outed" but will go back and re-examine the newer images and comment. let me just say this.....I love the idea of multiple missing aircraft....I love the idea of the Philadelphia Experiment. Basically, any pseudo science that might explain how an aircraft could plummet from 43,000 feet in three pieces---and there still be survivors, really excites me. What I don't like is: there wasn't a plane crash....it is implanted memories......or worse, some kind of matrix...blah blah blah. I am also not wild about the whole Walt & powers and Claire and the psychic. I like it better than No Crash but NOT much!

It happened when were were passing the solar system of the third star of Orions Belt. We were transporting "smokey" alien life forms when they escaped from their containment pods and infiltrated our engine compartment. This caused an Electro-Magnectic burst which increased our speed to light speed X2, but then quickly destroyed all our engines. I felt we had no choice but to make a crash landing on our home planet of Earth. We covered up the USS Enterprise with a layer of soil so as not to scare anyone. It wasn't until later we realized that we had jumped back in time to the 21st century. So as to not disturbe the time-continuum, we decided to stay put until the inhabitants found us. We did start an emergency broadcast of the intergalacticly accepted distress numbers, but for some reason we got no response. Recently, while we were conducting maintenance on one of the warp drives. We were careful not to conduct the tests during any scheduled flights of the ancient inhabitants of Earth, but it seems one strayed into our exhaust plume, which seemed to result in a very hard landing of the craft. We are now closely monitoring them, as they seem very hostile. We have attempted to bring the occupants into our camp a few at a time to educate them why we are here, and to detirmine why they decided to land on our soil covered starship. Many have accepted our hospitality, but other have become violent to my crew and to themselves. This has resulted in loss of life to a few of my crew and also among the occupants. We've just had a short burst of reruns over here in the UK with lots of extra Channel 4 content, somewhere in it all they showed the 'teaser' trailers that we're originally screened before the series started. I think the 68 years would be reasonable given Jack's statement. He probably isn't a forensics expert and didn't run any scientific experiments on the remains, so I don't think he could pin it down to a certain age based on clothing. He probably wasn't looking to give a specific year that they died, but to give a general feel for how long ago.

That would explain the difference in how long it took the clothes to deteriorate also. I agree that 68 years seems reasonable based on Jack's guess, but even more so if they have only been dead for closer to 50 years.

In preparation for the Eko flashback, here are some interesting Nigerian traditions that I ran across:
· You do not hand things over to people, especially adults and elders
older than you, with your left hand. It's considered an insult.
· You don't cross or jump over someone's legs if they are sitting
with the legs extended out. It's considered bad luck.
· Avoid shaking hands with elders and older people in the villages.
It's disrespectful to do that. Kneeling for women or bowing by men is
the norm. You may not need to do either, but just show some form of
respect when greeting older people. You can get away with not doing
that in big cities or urban areas, they are more 'civilized' there.
· When entering a house designated as ''Mekules'' in the North,
meaning there are muslim women whose faces visiting men cannot see, you have to let them know in advance that you are visiting so that they can keep the women locked away in other parts of the house until your visit is over. Men are not supposed to see them because it is believed they would become ''corrupt'' by looking at other men and vice versa. Knock the door and wait to be answered before going in. They will ask you to wait while the women are informed. Do not be offended by the wait.
