Looks like the actors' unions have their panties in a bunch over the ABC/iTunes setup. From today's Cynopsis:

With all the network shows now available for download on various services, you had to see this one coming. The Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America have both exchanged press statements over their displeasure of ABC's providing digital downloads of several hit series including Desperate Housewives and Lost on iTunes. ABC plans to offer residual pay to actors based on a home video model that was developed in 1980. The SAG says how these residuals are paid should have been part of a negotiation with the unions according to its collective bargaining agreement, and says the home video model is outdated, and will not fairly compensate performers. The WGA wholeheartedly agrees with SAG, and both unions have said they plan to pursue legal arbitration. A statement from ABC reads in part: "We have great respect for the Guilds and the contribution of their members. The only question here is what the existing Guild agreements provide. We believe that the residual for sales and permanent downloads of programs to the iPod is covered by the home video residual formula. ... this is simply a dispute over how to interpret a provision under agreements that provide the means for resolving that dispute."

ABC's Robert Iger told investors on Monday that ABC has sold over 3 million video downloads via iTunes, generating gross revenue of approx $6 million, since the shows became available for download in mid-October.

Yes, congratulations TI! I'm sure it was quite a surprise coming so soon after the last one, but there are benefits too! The two will have each other as playmates. My sons are only 24 months apart. While they are opposites in personality, they have always had each other as playmates. There is an 8 year gap between my youngest son and my daughter. She has not had that built-in playmate and I see the difference.

Also, it will be work having two little ones at once, but you two can make it through the experience reasonably sane. My in-laws had 5 of their 6 children in rapid succession (I think my husband and one of his brothers are about the age gap your two will be). They are still alive and sane and the kids are all close.

Well after this one, I am getting fixed...this will be hard work haviing 2 small ones. The sanity we have is already practically all gone, lol. What were we thinking...wait...we werent. :D

My brother and sister-in-law had their children close together, and they are now 5 and almost-4. They love each other dearly, fight with each other fiercely, and have a friend for life in each other. When they grow and find out they can't get married, my nephew will marry Rachel Ray of cooking fame (his very own back-up plan).

Well, I said all that to say, for the pain in the neck two young children can be, the rewards seem to be ample. Again, congratulations to you and yours.

My brother's kids share - a good part of the time. Their parents are very cool - they live and act as they want their children to live and act. The kids are very lucky - they get lots of fun, lots of love, and discipline when needed. They are not perfect, but they are perfectly lovely. I bet yours are/will be also. Just keep remembering what it's like to be a kid, and be a kid whenever you can.

Rosemary Fish Bundles for Two
prep time: 10 minutes
cook time: 20 minutes
ready in: 30 minutes
Ingredients

2 carrots, peeled and cut into julienne strips
2 (6 ounce) fillets firm white fish fillets (like orange roughy)
Garlic Powder
Rosemary Leaves
1/8 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
2 green onions, cut into julienne strips
1/2 red bell pepper, cut into rings and seeds removed
2 tablespoons dry white wine or white cooking wine
Directions:

Cut 2 pieces of aluminum foil into 12 x 16-inch rectangles. Arrange half of carrots in center of 1 piece of foil. Place 1 fish fillet on top of carrots. Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder, rosemary, and Season-All. Arrange half of onions and red bell pepper on top of fish. Bring sides of foil up around fish. Pour 1 tablespoon wine over fish. Bring sides of foil together over fish and fold tightly to encase fish completely.
Repeat with remaining ingredients on second piece of foil. 4. Place bundles on baking sheet and bake in 350 degrees F oven 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with forkAnything else?

We used to try to make arrangements to be at the web cam at the Old Coast Guard Station in Virginia Beach at a specific time so friends back home could view us at the beach. I don't think it ever worked, but we got a laugh looking at the other people doing the same thing.

I didn't, but I've heard of it -- I didn't start going to VA Beach until the late 1980s. My aunt and several cousins live there. I've seen lots of good music there, though. One of our good friends moved there also, so I get "locals" treatment, which is nice. Ocean Eddie's, margaritas, sun!

Good news - My sister had her baby!! :baby::clap:

I now have a neice to go along with my nephew! :D :hyper:

8 pounds, 12 ounces, with reddish-blonde, curly hair.

Named Kaelin Aimee Marie... which I actually don't like, LOL... second kid, and still all British/Irish/Scottish names... and no true Estonian or Italian ones (geez, thanks sis :rolleyez: )!... and second kid who's first name starts with a K (as if there weren't 25 other letters to pick from, LOL... no offense to anyone who likes having their kids' names start with the same letter :) )

..... I think I'll go with my nephew's choice and call her Jack-Jack :mischievo ... lol ;)

Then one day I searched through Livejournal and discovered Cleolinda's hilarious Lost Recaps... :rotfl:

A couple of times these mentioned a website called TWOP, or Television Without Pity :)

I began lurking on their Lost forums, especially their "Lost Online: Virtual Clues or Just More Confusion?" thread...:thumbs_up

I finally joined there when I noticed MarvinCandle.com's invisi-text contained "miyya thamania egry besoraa ma'assalamma", or "108 Run Faster goodbye" in Arabic...something no one on their board could translate:glasses:

I kept it up there for a couple of months, until one day when I received an e-mail from Lars Navaho of MC.com, and posted the text...:Headbang:

At which point Max Criden pointed me to this forum, saying it had just been copied here...:wave2:

I remember that day very well: that was the day Vincent first joined this board :goodvibes

And the day we learned that OWA wasn't official...:sadwalk:

That seemed to mark the beginning of the end to TWOP's Lost Online thread...:boggled:

Until dragon posted a thread pointing to this site the day that Truff stegoed the Copenhagen pic... :hyper:

I immediately joined this forum, gave a few opinions, got stego, then stegoed a few sites of my own...:popcorn:

Including finding a message inside aralai.com's image... :teu87:

From that day I've been ADDICTED to the spinoff forum...:coffeedunk:

Soon the KCSP maze came into full force... :yayconfet

And I began getting the text messages at inopportune times...:scared:

Then declared allegiance to The Great Alvar...:worshippy

Even when this part ended, I felt that nothing could make me change how much I loved the web and its mazes for us...:kiss:

Sadly, the BSS1 debacle changed that. :pissed:

I may have become more cynical of sites and people...:no:

Including a rather curt PM to schaduwen that I still feel bad about...:ashamed:

But overall, I've realized what has made me come back time and time again to this community: :Hippy:

1. The awesomeness of Vincent Madison and OWA. :wolf:

2. The beauty of the smack-talk forum: what bighead, agrillo, dragon, gardenboy, VA, and Ralf (among others) have done with a couple simple ideas from the KCSP/XNA maze :monkey:

3. Everyone else who has simply been themselves, and made this such a great community to be with: truff, ILE, lab, la isla, super, dixon, sayidsalot, scullygirl, mika, nimrod, oceaniclisa, penelope, algo, lostgal, rara, WOC, Rose, dragon and so many others :Hugglepounce:
