Regarding the "Incident" yesterday evening in bork chat...yes the chat was hacked by this Sedat person. He came in as an admin somehow and bannished all the mods and cleared the banned user list. Things have been fixed, some names might have been deleted, if this is the case for you, simply re-register. If anyone wants to do some investigating, here is what we know of this guy.

Good morning everyone.

Last night, I was deeply saddened. I was looking forward to squeeing in the GD Hype thread and witnessing a grade-A Truff rant in Bork when, at the turn of Lost day....nothing. No internet connection, no TV, no phone. As my sadness edged toward panic, I desperately dialed my friendly cable provider to question :confused: the situation (on my cell phone, having no regular phone service). The operator calmly informed me that my cable would be out for "routine maintenance" from 12 until 5AM (and sounded somewhat annoyed that I'd be wasting my time with internet or TV in the wee hours). So all I can ask is:

Good luck explaining Bork to the cable companies. Though, from my experience....I was visiting my parents when "Collision" aired and the cable and internet went out a few hours before it aired. We frantically called the company asking about when it would be on, and INSISTED upon it being on before Lost...which led to a HALF-HOUR Lost discussion between my mom and the cable operator. Which, ya know, worrying about missing a new ep? Not the best time for chit-chat. So when I read your tale from last night, WOC, I just pictured some internet service operator finding the room and borking while you were out of service. :mad: (Nothing of the kind happened, however, as far as I know! :) )

And many of us get frustrated in the OWA thread. If I hadn't earned my Gold status before the flight, I'd never get it. I'm too busy at work right now, and obviously there are folks who have plenty of time to research every little thing and post it quickly.

I will say that I'm glad VM made it clear that there is no such thing as "double gold." Miles are nice, but some people are taking it a bit too far, IMO.

"Flayrah" is a Watership Down rabbit term meaning unusually good food. Wild rabbits normally would have to harvest their own food from the wild, but ocassionally they will encounter this Flayrah which is in reality food laid by humans either unintentionally (say garbage) or more commonly intentionally to feed and domesticate rabbits.

I think that the food our losties found in the hatch is actually Flayrah for humans. It is being intentionally bought to them somehow and that is why some of them are "relapsing" to their precrash self.

The curious thing is that they don't seem to wonder where all this food is coming from (much like the rabbits in WD), they just gobble it up. Maybe it even contains brainstupifying ingredients or something.

There is a very revealing episode in Watership Down where our main group of rabbits encounter semidomesticated rabbits accostumed to Flayrah. These rabbits cannot see that they are being fed for food, even though ocassionaly some of their kin would suddenly disappear. They simply accept this as a condition to having Flayrah and will not even talk about it. They have become complacent, weak and unguarded. Is this what is happening to our Losties?

OMG, that was such an awesome episode last night. I watched it when it aired, and then I stayed up until midnight to watch it a second time with my son when he got home. I'm exhausted this morning, but it was worth it!

Oh, I meant to post this the other day and forgot. Tuesday I had to go to Cleveland to a seminar. We were driving down a road in one of the Cleveland suburbs, and I glanced to my left and there was this building with a huge sign out front:

I know, this is not an ep discussion thread, but I am NOT going into GD. So can I just get my RAAAAAAAAAAH out here? Thanks. Great episode, that is the least annoying Claire has ever been. Several questions answered (a nice change) and a few more raised. The very bad acting of Thomas Mapother was balanced by some great acting from Rousseau and Eko. And best of all, the hour was completely AnaL-free!

Speaking of Eko, he is one scary dude. But please, please, pleeeeeease can they get him a new shirt? Aggie, I think your next WTF? avatar should be the look on eeeeeeevil Henry Gale's face when Eko joined him. That was excellent.

During the whole show I kept thinking "damn, that Dharma is a well-branded organization. This hatch has more logos than a NASCAR race."
