Loveyouguys! - I sold my copy of "IT" , too many books, I always have five or six boxes that I must drag around with me to all the far away places I have lived. My sister has it easier, big house, same town where we grew up.

I wanted to congratulate Jeannie on her book. Let us know when it comes out. I am still working on finishing mine, then I have to find a publishing house.

I wanted to share two books for those of you looking for great books you may not know about. The first one is "The Lucky Bones" by Alice Seibold. It is very scary & very well written. The second is "Brick Lane" by Monica Ali. It is about a Bangledeshi woman in the UK and is my favorite book of late. I am about to read it again on the plane to Paris.

Any breakfast 'round here? - I'll take a cup of Kate's Wandering Brew and a Sawyer's Outlaw Omelet.

OWA 213 is beyond me. And that is pathetic as I read "It" at LEAST three times. Nothing occurs to me except kids fighting a monster. Oh well.

Wayoff, Vee, and Rose...... I have a diaper story for you. I was changing my sons diaper when he was about 1, and he was sitting on top of a changing table, I turned around to get a diaper from the other side of the room, and before I could turn back and get him, HE HAD ROLLED RIGHT OFF THE TABLE....He was ok, but I was horrified and felt terrible. I once accidentally let him crawl to the stairs and tumble all the way down to the first floor once too.....It was bad, and I felt so, so bad.....once again, he was OK, but if he ever turns out slow in the future we know why. He's 10 now, and smart as a whip!

I'll second that notion... although I must tell you that after a strong start, there is a portion in the unabridged version that was kind of slow to get through. I usually read books VERY fast (read the Da Vinci Code in one night) but it took me a while to get through that book. Once I got through the slow part, though, I couldn't put it down.

Believe it or not, though I've read *most* of Steven King's stuff, I have never read IT. Not sure why. Maybe I knew it would be too scary??

To do the 3D, you have to go into kind of a trance. But my little Venice looks so cool! It's almost finished. I'll take a picture. There are pieces that don't even show up in the picture; you put them together and save them. After you have all the pieces together flat (2d), you start building. It looks daunting, but after you've done one it's just fun. There's a diagram to follow and it comes together with patience. I'm hooked! Next - San Francisco or maybe a castle.
And here's an interesting note - my psychologist says these puzzles are very good because I use the non-emotional side of my brain when working on them and living only in the current moment. So they are good for depression, stress, etc.

Just remember that new moms, especially first time moms, are not all that rational when it comes to their babies (don't know if it is just the sleep deprivation or the mommy hormones or what). Plus the baby advice books can really scare you in to thinking that the least little thing will maim your baby for life.

And I believe you, Lab, that it was an accident. My oldest was about just a few months past a year old when we left the house to go somewhere. I let go of his hand for just a second (I swear it was only a second) to lock the door and he decided to try to walk down the concrete steps. Time seemed to move in s-l-o-w motion as I watched him tumble. I was sure he was going to be half dead with blood spurting everywhere. But he had only the tiniest little scratch. Thankfully, babies are tougher than they look!


ETA: It's slow here so I think I'll call it a night. I was dreaming the other night that I was picking up my husband and sons from the airport (which I really have done recently), and there was an Oceanic terminal. Yes, Lost invades my dreams.

It's time for our weird weather day here. High today of 72 degrees, which is unheard of for early March in northeast Ohio. Strong thunderstorms, and hopefully no tornados... tomorrow is supposed to be snow showers with a high in the 30s. Freaky!

Lab, my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece went to the new Great Escape Indoor Water Park a couple of weeks ago. While walking along the lazy river, my brother lifted my niece up so she could see and bonked her little head right into a cement overhang. :mad: He was devastated, but she was alright. You are not alone! I've probably done something similar, but thankfully those are among my missing memories, ha ha.

Yes, I think the weather has been weird all around, at least east of the Mississippi. Relatives in KY have been talking of hail and high winds. We've had much warmer than normal weather here in NH this weekend (felt like spring). But by the end of the week they're calling for snow. It was bright and sunny when I woke up this morning, but 10 minutes later the sun was gone and the drizzle returned. Hope everyone has a good week (as good as it can be with a rerun on schedule).

Yes, Penelope. I just heard on the radio that we are under a severe thunderstorm watch from now until nine tonight. You and Lisa are probably about an hour or so behind.

They basically just said that we will have some bad storms this afternoon, most likely starting around 2:30 or so. That just about guarantees we will lose our power here at work this afternoon. This spot almost always loses power during storms.

Killington was great...some trails had bare spots, but there were over 150 trails open and they were all pretty good. I heard the canyon was really good, but I never made it over to that part of the mountain. Good luck when you go!
