Charon, or Pluto I, is the largest satellite of Pluto. It was discovered by astronomer James Christy on June 22, 1978 by carefully examining highly magnified images of Pluto on photographic plates taken a couple of months before and noticing that a slight bulge appeared periodically. I've been getting DSL! It only took from 1:30 to 8:30 pm - 7 hours of technicians!!! Finally, one of the bosses came down and found a solution, and would not leave until I had Google Earth installed and working! Gee, I can't wait to see the labor charges!

I did peek in on my Mom's computer - she worked right away and just fine, thank you very much!

I remember when we switched companies for high speed at our old place over 5 years ago... I had woken up, and my mom actually came upstairs to tell me to get dressed and brush my hair and whatnot before going downstairs cuz our tech guy was gorgeous... You betcha! He kept going to sites that he knew to show me how quick it was now; but I told him I would not approve the work until we went to Lost-TV visited the BBR. He cracked up when he heard all about it, but I think he appreciated it, too. He was checking out my bookshelves and the Dan Brown books, which we got talking about - people that like Dan Brown are not too far from us - in many cases, they are us, right?

But he's about 20 years younger than me and married. Now, I could concetrate on that. But on the half-full side, a guy who looks like Jack was in my bedroom. I'll tell you something, he never would have gotten out of here if he had looked like Sayid!

I did tell him I would be posting that picture first thing just to celebrate the connection. Fellow community members, in my opinion, this is the result of getting service from a home-town company in a small town. Many years ago, my Dad worked for his Grandfather. This guy was determined to make it work, and asked me to call him tomorrow afternoon to he could be sure I got back on in the morning. I really hope they don't soak me too much for the labor, but the service was superb, if lengthy.
