Heh. Doesn't surprise me in the least.

Since they started, I assumed it was a bunch of nonsense. The "puzzles" lead nowhere, there was no plot, and overall it just looked like the product of someone who didn't know what they were doing. I let it slide for a while, hoping something would actually happen, and then I found the Widmore Group of Companies website and hoped something would start. Turned out it was completely unrelated!

That's some lame stuff to pull on everyone. Though I'm probably less disappointed than everyone else because I didn't actually play along, I honestly think this guy's a big jerk. The posting of other people's photographs and making people spend weeks trying to solve his "Wild Goose Chase" is just plain ridiculous, not to mention creepy.

Anyway, enough ranting.

I agree, Penelope. I've been thinking for some time that I'd love Algo for my doctor. Algo seems both very sharp and very persistent, like House but with a much better personality.
