This is too cool. I got so LOST music pumped tonight I downloaded "Wash Away" by Joe Purdy, "Make your own kind of music" by Mama Cass and "I shall not walk alone" by The Blind Boys of Alabama.

Some of the music on LOST is too cool.

Now I have "Make your own kind of music" playing in the other room, while I am in my "Lab" - it is so like the hatch it's not funny.

Just wanted to share....

:) Nice to see Vincent again.

Congratulations!

And to think i never win anything? Thanks Scape!!!! :D I will place this in my trophy room, a rare find indeed is a marble bust of the lead singer from "Cowdance on Parade" --shake that cowbell!!!!

why am I awake? oh yeah - i have a fever...:(

ETA: Hi Vincent!! I was happy to see you too!! You were keeping Sawyer company!!!

04-13-06, 05:52 AM
The music is cool I must say, but I am not so pumped about this episode. I don't know Truff, Henry is acting kind of weird now, so not so sure. That look was so creepy.

The only major thing we got was Rose's story and the "special" places in the earth. We always knew she was of faith. Locke got his renewed through her, but honestly didn't see much else.

ETA. Penelope you should be so proud!!!!!! Yes I hope your trophy room is near your wine cellar. lol It will make many conversational opportunities.

Penelope
04-13-06, 05:54 AM
I enjoyed the realization that Rose knew about Locke's condition...wow this island sure is the miracle place huh? Cures all kinds of ailments....

ETA: Hi Dion!!!! Nite ILE!!

Dionysus
04-13-06, 06:02 AM
Yes Penelope, sorry you are sick. I think there is a doctor around. He is a man of science that many have put faith in. lol On the other hand I think Sawyer has the drugs and looked so lonely until Vincent showed up. You ought to go check on him! Have a good night!

Penelope
04-13-06, 06:06 AM
Lol Dion! Yes we have two doctors now on the island - Jack and Dr. Algo - I think I prefer the latter!! :D I should go check on poor Sawyer huh? ;)

At least having this fever means I can stay home and work on the login to Aralai...maybe in my delirium I will crack the code!

Goodnight Dion and anyone else still up -- I'll return in the morning!!

Popping in for a sec to just share that my favourite part of the ep. was Bernard's and Charlie's lines...

"I think I liked you better when you just hit people with your stick" ... "I like you just the way you are"

LOL I laughed so hard at that :rotfl:

and now, I will retreat back to studying:Booky:

Good morning, everyone!

Batman, I loved those lines as well.

I really enjoyed the show. It was great getting some background on Rose and Bernard. I love the fact that Rose knows (and has known all along) about Locke and the wheelchair. I loved her line to him about knowing how it won't take that long for his leg to heal.

Thanks for the bonus podcast, Vincent. I just listened to it. And I AM one of those people who stay for the credits. ;)

New Diary entry on ABC.com

They're all talking about me - - They don't think I can hear them, but I Can! People are saying i'm crazy? ME? HAH! All I know is that I don't intend to spend the rest of my life on this god forsaken rock without my brother. And if that makes me "crazy" so be it. But I just can't go on in this place without somebody I can trust. Why will no one HELP ME?

I think I figured out who this person is...its Frogurt! :D

Thanks, TI! I actually thought it was pretty cool, and let me on the thread eventually, but I don't know if I could view the picture. Since then, I have been to aralai, entered the correct password, etc. Now when I go to the other thread, it no longer asks for the password.

Hi all! I am not sure I liked the Rose/Locke interaction in the airport. Until now, the characters have floated through the periphery of each others FBs. This was the first time we have had such a clear and open interaction (outside of the actual flight). It was a bit surprising. And yet, I have wondered all along why none of the other Losties recognized the big bald guy in the wheelchair.

Also, a really weak article from today's USA Today:

Have these people lost their minds?
By Bruce Schwartz and Steve Coogan, USA TODAY
Mon Apr 3, 4:46 PMUPDATED -2 HOURS -12 MINUTES AGO
After the previous episode's smorgasbord of clues, last week's Lost, focusing on Hurley's "friend" Dave, served up far more questions than answers.
And viewers, responding to our online request for reaction, chimed in with their own theories. Some wonder whether the Dharma food stash, which Hurley tore into, was laced with mind-altering drugs, spurring Hurley's reunion with his imaginary pal. On one side, they brought up mental-health moments suffered by Charlie, Claire and others as evidence. On the other side, some viewers noted that the islanders didn't discover the food until they had opened the hatch — long after they had seen the polar bear and other apparitions.
And then, some ask, is everyone in the show actually institutionalized, as were Hurley and Libby? Each of the Oceanic survivors has a secret in his or her past that could easily lead to a breakdown. Possibly fitting into that theory, many noticed that the picture over the couch in Hurley's psychiatrist's office is of an island that bears more than a passing resemblance to our mystery isle.
April 5
After several slow weeks, finally — a Lost with lots of fresh fodder for theorists.
Last week, in what could be the granddaddy of all clues so far, the producers offered us a diagram of what seem to be the secrets of the island. The sprawling, scrawled map was painted in black-light colors on a drop-down metal door.
And to emphasize the map's significance, the show trapped Locke under the door so he would have no choice but to stare at it and try to memorize as much as he could before it disappeared.
Viewers across the country — and readers responding to our request for observations — apparently scrutinized the map as closely as Locke did.
The map was in an octagonal shape echoing the Dharma Initiative logo. In the center was a question mark surrounded by a dashed circle. Radiating out in spokes from that center could be seen (thanks to the wonders of pause control) a number of what looked like hallways. They lead mostly to circular areas denoted by various Dharma icons — the swan, the staff, the arrow, the flame.
In a notation pointing to the swan area, a message was written: "I am here."
And several areas were marked CVI, CVII and CVIII. Those happen to be Roman numerals for 106, 107 and 108, the last of which is the hatch clock's countdown time in minutes.
While we're on the subject, there was more grist for Lost's numerous numerologists and students of the 4-8-15-16-23-42 sequence:
• The number on the safe deposit box in which Locke's father had stashed the retirement-con cash was 1516.
• The card that Sawyer dealt to Jack from the bottom of the deck was an 8.
• Henry Gale's address on the driver's license was 815. And the ZIP code of his hometown of Wayzata, Minn., is 55391 — which adds up to 23.
Other coincidences (or not): Many readers noticed that the woman whose house Locke is inspecting in his flashback happens to be Nadia (played by Andrea Gabriel), Sayid's old girlfriend from a past flashback. And by the way, both planes that flew close over the Flightline Hotel were — everybody, now — Oceanic Air.

And NotHenry is scary-looking.

One thing I forgot on the Podcast - the return of Michael.

I think that he was "returned" by the others because they knew (heard) Jack was there.

Also - a few points I think the "others" made by returning Michael:

1. They did not give back Walt (They need him)
2. They did give back Michael (did not need or want him)
3. They did not want NotHenry in exchange for Michael (most interesting!)

ETA: Sweet, those two always make me cry! :p When the tailies got reunited with everyone, and they meet back up? Oh jeez, lol. It was just such a nice moment! :)

I've become much more sentimental in my "older" years - actually after I had kids, my hormones got all whacked out. LOL LOL I'm not old! :o)

The only show that made me cry or teary eyed before I had kids was Days of Our Lives - heck last night I was crying while watching the American Idol family videos. LMAO

ILE - I never did watch Third Watch but I remember people talking about how sad the end was.

Anyone watch RESCUE ME?? How sad when Tommy's son got hit by a car and died - I was balling or is it bawling?? I guess balling would be more of a basketball term..so I was BAWLING. LOL:weeping::weeping:

LostGal - yay - I'm so glad someone else watches that. I LOVE IT. My boss (who lives in Dallas) was at Vision Expo in NYC a few weeks ago, and ran into Lenny Bruce (aka Uncle Teddy) at the hotel. He got his autograph for me . My boss told him how every day after the episode airs he e-mails me in FL and we talk non stop about the show and said that Lenny was quite honored that we watched and gave it so much thought. I guess they don't hear a lot of feedback about the show, at least he doesn't. LOL Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool

Are you a tv junkie, like I am or do you only watch/record certain shows? I must say I have a nightly line up and probably watch/record to watch later over 30 shows. LMAO

Well I am a TV junkie Sweet One but I only record LOST, anything else I'll catch another time, lol.

I actually have to record shows while others are on, like tonight Survivor is on so I tape the NBC lineup. well I can watch the later shows but when Dancing with the Stars was on my DVR was working OT. Last night Amazing Race and LOST were on and so was American Idol. I watch way too much tv. My excuse is that my kids are in bed by 8pm and hubby works nights - can't go anywhere so what else is there to do. LOL Actually I had to get a second DVR and put it in my bedroom because my hubby wanted all NY Rangers games taped. He paid $150 for the NHL package so he can see every game and he wanted the games taped in our living room not our bedroom. Since I can only tape 2 shows at a time, I was missing some so I added the 2nd DVR. Ultimate Couch Potato?? LMAO

Hey Yal :)

I would say that I teared up at the end of the eppy last night, but the music/score just wasn't there like last week with Hurley and Libby....that one got me good.
Oh, and "Parting Words" (raft setting sail) from the LOST soundtrack, that one gets me too, everytime. Giacchino is a freakin GENIUS.

Well, I've been trying to deal with my (boooo) Verizon problem, but as suspected, I've gotten nothing but the runaround so far.
I'm almost at the point where I'm gonna call Comcast (the other ISP in my area) and see how fast they can get me up and running, then call Verizon and tell them to go BORK themselves.
We'll see....I move in to the new SECRET facility on Saturday.

With that said, I think I'm gonna have to put an early end to my "KCSP" shenanigans, this move has just become too stressful to try to think about all that stuff. Basically where I was gonna go with it was to have Widmore take over the Zanzibar lab and announce our plans to stop Alvar from trying again to distribute his XNA4All. But like I said, with all this stress piling up with my move, I have not the ability to continue.
I had fun doin it, I hope yal enjoyed readin it (or makin fun of me for doin it :p).

So just a heads up, I won't be around on Saturday at all unless by some act of God, I sort out my internet problem here. And potentially Sunday too (unless I cave in and get *ugh* dialup temporarily).

Hope yal are havin a GREAT Day After NEW LOST Day!! :D

Oh, and I didn't want to cry during the show last night, but only because I was with people and wanted to look tough...er than I really am. I did slip up ONCE though, and that was when Bernard heard Rose's admission of being terminally ill after proposing and replied with "You didn't answer the question." :weeping: I also cried during Season 1 when Vincent swam out towards the raft and Sun's flashback at the airport when she's about to leave Jin.

A turkish language lesson of the day -- from the great and powerful ALGO:

totenhosen = dead trousers.

Why turkish people discuss the death of trousers, or the fact that a pair of trousers have passed on, I do not know....

down here we discuss trousers all the the time, not the death of them - but whether to wear them or not. I personally have "passed on" wearing them on many occasion.

Hey again yal :)

After much thinking after my last post, I decided to take action.
I have called Comcast, and they can have me set up on Saturday when they come to hook up the cable.
SCREW VERIZON!!!!

So I kinda take back what I said before....I'm still moving on Sat, and will be out most of the day, but I'll be on at night to celebrate a (hopefully) successful move! :D

And with that I am ONE POST away from 5000.
Not sure what I wanna do, I want to do something different this time. The "thank you" milestone posts are kinda worn out for me since I've done so many, but right now that's the front runner....I'm sure I'll think of something (and if I don't I'll cheat and delete a few posts til I'm ready).

Enjoy the afternoon yal! :D
See ya later.

Peace,
Truff

You could always do what I did yesterday for my 2000th post: use it for something useful in the OWA thread, then not realize that was a milestone post until 5 posts later or something.

Wow, I go away to actually do work and all kinds of things get figured out.

I'm so glad it's almost the end of tax season. Technically, the last day is Monday, but our office rule is that it will be done by tomorrow afternoon, or you are getting extended. I get to take Saturday off - first one since early January!!! Then Monday we are wearing jeans or shorts, and the partners are setting up tents in the parking lot. Call it a tailgate party - they are bringing grills, and food, and alcohol and we are partying the day away! Good thing that I get Tuesday off, because I plan on being quite hung over by then!

Can you tell I'm excited? ;)

OK, This is way off topic even for BBR, but I'm too lazy to figure out where it goes.

From: http://www.prestonandsteve.com/lost.php

most of the feedback is pretty lame, but this link is bizarre:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0483046/

Here is the thread excerpt:

At the same time if you check out Michael Emerson's IMDB site he made a short film during the same time as the Numbers episode filming. The name of the short film is "The Lost Season" and there's no information or plot summary given for it. Oh yeah, one other small detail, the name of the Character that Emerson played in "The Lost Season" is Henery Gale!! (The spelling change is accurate.)

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0256237/ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0256237/)

If you look a little further at "The Lost Season" you find that here are 9 actors credited with this film. All of them are playing themselves with one exception, Michael Emerson. He is the only actor listed with a character name and (not to repeat myself) it's Henery Gale. By the way, look at the body of work for any of the other 8 actors and you'll find that the only work they ever did was "The Lost Season". If this was a real movie don't you think someone would have gotten another part, doing something? That's a few too many coincidences for me!! Maybe you should look again at that picture and see if maybe it just might be the same actor!!

What's up with that?

Jeannie

They told us all to get a ride to work, they've hired a limo to drive us home. And they are starting by cooking breakfast which includes mimosas, bloody marys, and beer.

I guarantee it will be wild long before lunch time.

I wonder what role Emerson played. Either the owner of a mining company in Minnesota or some other role.
IMDB is known to have made mistakes in the past but if this entry is canon, it is really weird.

It seems like someone planted it there. I'm not that familiar with IMDB, so don't know if it is like Wiki and anyone can make up stuff.

On imdb the director is Jonathan Murphy, on the Telmark site it is Josh "Bones" Murphy. Some of the actors listed as themselves seem to be actual skiers, unless all those stories are planted (which I don't think so).
The plot is thickening.

Hey VM - it's a skiing movie....

Unparalleled 4: The Lost Season is the fourth film in Unparalleled Productions' award winning series of Freeheel films. A different kind of ski film born of a different group of skiers, The Lost Season follows Lorenzo Worsted, Max Mancini, Scott Schield, Ben Dolenc, Mark Sanders, and Ty Dayberry along with rising stars Hilary Larkin, Seth Steffen, Cody Smith, and Decker Jory. Through their talent and enthusiasm for freeheel skiing we see not only possibility, but a zeal for life that affects us all and provides an appreciation for times passed and an awareness for the speed with which we each lose our own season.

Okay. I'm cheating. :p
I deleted a post so I didn't have to do 5000 yet.

I just wanted to say how STOKED I am that everything worked out for my move this weekend!! :D
Earlier today, everything kinda came crashing down - the Uhaul place told me that I couldn't get the truck til 5pm on Sat, then every other place I tried callin to get one for Sat morning said no dice; and of course there was my whole Verizon debacle.
Well, I found a truck that I can pick up at 8am Sat AND I scheduled to have Comcast HiSpeed Internet hooked up between 11-1pm on Sat when they come to hook up our cable AND (this was my favorite part) I called up Verizon and took GREAT Pleasure in telling them to go BORK themselves, and to cancel my service as of this Sat.

I just cannot believe how IDIOTIC the people who work the phones for Verizon are....I mean I talked to just about every dept possible, and not ONE of them could give me a straight answer (actually several of them flat out LIED to me). I'm so glad that is all over with.

VERIZON = WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!

Sooooo.....now once again, I'm one post away from 5000.
I promise I'll try not to cheat again. ;)

I may just blast thru it, cause I wanna rewatch and post addendum notes with caps and whatnot. We shall see.

Brink

Through the clouds I see,
A way to break free
I'm not sure where to go,
But follow my lead

Leaving your friends behind,
is not a safe bet
Because the greatest journey
hasn't happened yet

And it's not always easy,
finding the right one
But no matter which way we go,
we're bound to have fun

When you need to rest the most
try to fall asleep,
sit back and relax,
and stay off your feet
You'll know when it's time,
so don't stop to think
As soon as you forget,
we'll be on the brink

If we get lost somewhere,
it won't be so bad
Cause we don't have a plan,
I know we'll be glad

And once we find the track,
we won't even know
Until we all agree,
that it's time to go

And if there is a lesson,
that I can teach to you
It is always better,
not to have a clue

When you need to rest the most
try to fall asleep,
sit back and relax,
and stay off your feet
You'll know when it's time,
so don't stop to think
As soon as you forget,
we'll be on the brink

Okay, I just sat here and watched the bunnies dance.

I discovered an Easter Bunny sticker on my bathroom wall after my niece (almost 4) visited. I had seen it on her shirt earlier, so I know she left it. If it falls off, I swear, I'll glue it back (and it's upside down). But how thoughtful!

Oh, yeah! I do appreciate being able to send them home, or go home myself. Her brother is a year and a half older, and they live close enough that I see them a lot. They do add a lot of fun to my life; they've made me wet my pants laughing more than once!
