Did Hurley helping Libby with the shelter remind anyone of Shannon helping Sayid translate French? Or Kate helping Jack with his wound? Or Charlie helping Claire with luggage?

It seems like helping people on the beach is an instant foreshadowing for romance!

I for one, would really like to see this happen. Think of the possible story developments... Hurley was (possibly) a patient in a psych ward... and Libby is a clinical psychologist?

Why couldn't it? I see it as very possible. How many fans have told TPTB that Hurley needs a girl? With Shayid gone, the show needs another romantic couple. And think of the storylines this could provoke... mental ward patient with a clinical psychologist. Think of what wonders the writers could create with that scenario - especially if Libby does not find out that he was a mental ward patient until quite a bit into their relationship.

Aw. I like Libby and Hurley. I agree with whoever said it (its way late and im too lazy to go find who right now. sowwie!) that its funny that they should have an attraction because he was once institutionalized and she's a psych. *shrug* I think they make a cute couple. Even if they don't last, their fun still will fill in for the time that Charlie and Claire are apart. :P

I am all for Hurley and Libby! Hurley is one of the most kind men on The Island, not to mention fun to be with, and funny. He deserves some loving! And Libby seems kind. It would be cool if those two hooked up. But i'd be all for Hurley hooking up with any woman who would appreciate his good qualities.

C'mon guys, I hate to be the pessimist, but I've seen enough TV to know that the 'well stacked' guys rarely get the girls. Not that Libby's is anything special either, but I really don't see it happening. Something I can see happening is Charlie and Hurley forming their own little romantically rejected group. I would like to see it... but nah, I ain't a betting man and I'd still put money on it - No Hubby for chubby. I see people saying Jack will give advice... I hear Sawyer?

A few weeks ago, i really was hoping for Hurley & Libby to hook up. I think Hurley is an awesome guy, and i was hoping he'd get some lovin'. However, after seeing their interaction at the washing machine a couple weeks ago, i am against Hurley hooking up with her. She acted so bizarrely in that scene. I don't trust her at all now. She is obviously a liar. (She said Hurley stepped on her foot on the plane when that clearly was not possible.) Hurley knows her from somewhere/somehow that Libby would like him to forget about, so she tried to distract him. She seems devious and manipulative. Like i've heard some people mention in this forum before, imagine if Libby knew Hurley was worth millions and was following him and trying to hook up with him for his money! (Libby the gold digger, heehee!) Anyway, i must admit, i am intrigued and hope that we get a Libby flashback soon.

Well, she came close to flashing more than her back for Hugo.

I concur that she had a reason for deflecting his question, ( btw, if he only stepped in her foot with his toes and didn't put his full weight on them she would not be injured) but I see three distinct possibilities. First that she knows him from his time in counselling, second that she knows him from as a fast food worker but is not aware that he is worth millions now, third is that she saw the big, friendly guy that used to serve her Mr. Cluck's on TV winning the lottery. There's also a fourth possibility, that she encountered him somewhere in her travels across the Counterbalance Continent, but that is so unlikely that it will probably be the one the writers give us. At least until they give us one of the first three.

Sadly, it seems that lately Hugo is spending less time with Libby and more time with Ranch.

You gotta admit, Libby is more of a wild card/free spirit than you might have initially guessed (with her strip tease there). This has probably been mentioned elsewhere, but since he's been in a mental hospital and she's a psychologist, there's got to be something there.

So she was at Santa Rosa, too, and probably knows he has a lot of money. What is she after? Her concern for him seems genuine, like she had a crush on him way back when. This is one that is going to be interesting to watch, mostly beacuse there are a lot of things that we still don't know about.

Not necessarily, true. But his face was plastered all over every evening news program, even the ones in Korea. Ya gotta think that whenever a person sees someone even slightly familiar on TV winning the lottery they will take notice. I guess the question is whether Libby was still doped to the gills at Santa Rosa or maybe off somewhere not paying any attention to anything around her because she was doing somthing at the time.

The lottery was after his time in the institution. Plus, maybe it's just me, but I don't think I can pick a lottery winner out of the crowd. I watch the news and see all the faces, but I don't remember them. My guess is that most people are like that.

Then again, a guy that big might stand out.

Either way, while Libby was looking quite hot throughout the episode, I thought that kiss was gross. Anyone agree?

What i think is that libby was crazy and the way she look at hurley in the flashback i think that she was obssece with him and after she got out from santarosa she found that he won the lottery and when to australia to find problably just for the money but who know is LOST anything can happen.:D

I just hope that Cynthia's new show in the fall season doesn't bomb. I don't want her looking back and saying "I had my character on the hottest show on TV killed off for THAT."
