Yeah, "Innocence" is pretty heady.... Great Animation, story can get really obtuse like most Masume Shirow's stories are...I also saw it over at AMC ( I actually dozed off in the middle of it! ) HAve to get the DVD to see it again. I take it you also seen the GTS TV series "Stand Alone Complex " on the Cartoon Network on Sunday morning at 12:30 am.

Maybe someday we New York City area fans could have some sort of local Lost-Fan-get-together of sorts..... Maybe meet on wednesday night at some bar or resturant ( with a TV, of course! :) ) someplace in the city or something.... There must be literally at least several thousands of fan of the show here in the tri - state area alone , so I'm sure at least even a half a dozen people would be able to show up to something like that.
It's a thought! Something to think about for the future... :)

It sounds like a good idea to get together someday. But not Wednesday night. I like to give my undivided attention to Lost. Maybe a Thursday night rehash would be better!!!!!

LostHorizon

Either that or still meet up and watch the episodes during the Re-Run season, to see and discuss things that we might have missed.
So far it seem that there are only 4-5 LOST fans here in New York City..... :b

ReRun season! That's a good idea Lost!
We can all commiserate together on having to wait for new episodes.
But where??????

sawyerhasbestlines

We can go thru withdrawels together.

I have 2 other Lost friends in NYC, they just aren't on the boards.

Since we aren't going to watch it, we can meet anywhere. I know a few comfy places if in my hood if people are want to travel to the LES.

artemisia

LES sounds like a good idea, as they are a little more lenient over there if we sit and sit as we discuss!
And it's fairly accessible to all. But speaking of somewhere centrally located in terms of the subway...that Union Brewery at Union Square has an upstairs that is not crowded-and they serve great burgers and pasta and are inexpensive.

Lower East Side is cool, I also know of some cool places where we could meet, ( Some even have TV's! )
A place that is acessable by all is a good idea, since there are people coming from Brooklyn and New Jersey....
By the way, Artemisia , that place in Union Square that you mentioned, do you mean Heartland Brewery? That's really a great place for a meet - up! ( No TV though... ) Love the Hambergers there, and they have the Best Oatmeal Beer in NYC! :)

I guess Re - run season will begin after the last episode is aired sometime this May..... More than enough time to plan a NYC Meet - Up! :)

How do you miss two field goals in a row. Isn't that guys only job to make field goals?

I assume your'e talking about Doug Bien missing those two crucial kicks in last Saturdays' Jet game against the Steelers?

( the first time in NFL postseason history a player missed two field-goal attempts in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter )

Something tells me that he won't be back next season... :b
Oh well, good thing I'm not a Jet fan...

Anyway, what does this have to do with a LOST meet up, MangaKhan? :D

Nothing, I just enjoy annoying the dude who started this thread.

artemisia
01-17-05, 08:15 PM
Yes It is Heartland Brewery-and I am glad you like the food too.
There's no TV's-so i guess it would depend if we do a "meet and eat" and DISCUSS or rewatch.

Hey Manga? What's up with you and immuneman? In what thread did this animosity occur????
I never saw anything that would annoy you.
And where do you live Mr. Manga?
You can always start your own meet-up thread.

God... do you think someday ther'll be "lost" conventions like there are trekkie ones and we'll all dress up as our favorite characters?
I call Hurley. All you need is a dark t-shirt.

And Evangeline Lilly will be coming to it in a wheelchair? And Walt will be a middle-aged guy with 5 kids of his own?
