AlwaysLost,

I was a big fan of FireFly when it was on, and never missed an episode. I was furious when they took it off. They didn't even give it a chance to catch on, and certainly didn't have a big publicity push like Lost.

I too got the box set for Christmas, and can't wait to watch all the missed episodes.

I understand from a post elsewhere on this site that the episodes shown on t.v. were not in sequence, so it should be interesting to see them now in the sequence as the writers meant.

I also love Alias...and I'm really looking forward to 24.

Alias is great - the last few minutes of Season 3 changed so much... it's like Lost - one question answered, five more raised :-)
The only thing that's always clear in Alias is that Sloane is only loyal to one person - Arvin Sloane...

24 is also going to be interesting - what's Jack up against now ? We had a nuke, a genetically engineered virus, what WORSE thing could happen to LA ?

Firefly (the second "f" is not capitalized, and I'm a spelling Nazi) is amazing. I can't wait until the movie comes out in September. 276 days!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (also created by Joss Whedon) and its spin-off, Angel, are also extremely intelligent shows. Not all Browncoats like BtVS/AtS, but they're both great shows. TNT shows Angel re-runs every weekday at 5 p.m. eastern time. FX also shows BtVS re-runs every weekday at 7 and 8 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.

I'd recommend Carnivale (HBO) and Dead Like Me too, although the latter might be cancelled. The first seasons of both the former and latter are available on DVD.

I can't believe Showtime is cancelling Dead Like Me, I hope another channel picks it up, I've read Sci-Fi may, I'd be thrilled although I would miss Georgia's foul mouth if the show had to meet standards. I thought the mythology had just started rolling at the end of the season two.

What is the deal with Crystal?!?!?

Sorry to disagree with apparent concensus, but I thought "Firefly" was an example of "good idea, poor execution". Exactly what I hope doesn't happen to "Lost"

Ghost,

I also love Alias and 24. Not only did I get Firefly for Christmas, but I also got Season 3 of 24 (I already have Seasons 1 & 2), and Season 3 of Alias. For some reason I can't fathom, I missed the entire third season of Alias. I am now having an Alias marathon so that I will be up to speed by January 5. I've just finished watching Episode 17.

Also Babylon 5. Now that was a great show with some real guts. Main characters died.

The first season is a bit rough, but things pick up leaving you in white knuckled desperation for the next episode.

Wynter Zera,

Do you know if Babylon 5 is still playing in reruns? If so, which network?
