We need a character like Ana Lucia, but one portrayed by a better actor...club

Alright, please don't hate me for this, but clubs are all around us in this thread, I wanted to give my 2 cents and create a club with people who agree with me. Basically Ana Lucia is Anal, Obnoxious, Ignorant, Bitchy, and every other cruel word you can think of to describe her, but she was also on the police force. She knows how to use a weapon, how to train other losties, and we NEED her! Sure, Sayid, Locke, Jack, Sawyer, and Kate all know how to use guns, but she has the best experience in training and in handling the weapons. I think that Jack is the only person who has noticed her skills so far, and they ALL need to, including us Losties :)

I'll never believe that an LA cop with a chip on her shoulder and an itchy trigger finger is more educated in weaponry and is better trained to use them than an Iraqi soldier. Glocks are one thing... RPGs another. Sayid is by far the most neccessary charactor in Jackass's 'army'. Plus, he can prolly make a bazooka out of a piece of the plane.. Anal is lucky if she can remain civil to the rest of the cast long enough to have them lend her a hammer.
Her charactor is played out and just filler that takes time away from the better cast members as far as I'm concerned. You might have better luck getting members to join Jack's little army then people to sign on that Anal is needed.

But I would sign on for an 'all the men need to go shirtless (except Hurley) for 3 straight episodes' club.:D

I'd go with "better training and experience than most" but not "best." Sayid is infinitely more well trained in anything military, and much less likely to accidentally pull the trigger.

As to Jack and Locke, you've got to be kidding, right? I never understood why Jack was allowed to have a gun (aside from the fact that he had the key) considering in all the flashbacks we've had of him, he's never been shown or referenced to knowing how to use a firearm. And Locke seems more of an old school "throwing knives and pointed sticks" kinda guy. Doesn't he give off the "blasters are so uncivilized" vibe to anyone else but me?

At this point I wouldn't trust Jack with a scalpel, much less a gun.

Alright I'm changing the title, but some of you don't get this thread. Basically Ana Lucia knows how to use guns, and she can be quite helpful to the losties, oh and just one more thing, I haven't seen Sayid helping them slay any others....where's his help?

I believe, though I could be completely wrong, that what Hatchboy means is that the show could have used a character like Ana Lucía if a competent actress played her.

I agree Hatch. They NEED that character who creates conflict yet can save their butts, but NOT MICHELLE ! She gives the show HORRIBLE Publicity. I mean yea sure the other cast memembers got tickets in Hawaii, but im sure they took a little longer to do it than the first few months. They also dont have other DWI's in LA. NEW ACTRESS PLEASE!
