sorry if there is a thread like this, i did look but couldnt find any!

Ive recently bought the officail lost magazine issue #2, and i was reading the section voices from the fuselage. there was one letter from a lost viewer and i quote
"you know youre hooked on lost when you find yourself scouring pages 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42" well i decided to be a detective for the evening and search these pages myself, the lotto numbers each had a word printed where the numbers should be this word was execute! no other page had this word it was only the lotto numbers page, exept for page 8, so i decided that was the page of choice, so i was looking around and there was the darhma loga and a shark, so maybe there could be 8 sharks thats going to make an apearance or maybe its code for something ate (8) the shark. i dont really know but there is defianantly something of a mystery, has anyone done the same if so what did you find?

I think the magazine is really disappointing. I think the magazine is ok, but I think this site :heartpump is more informative and more importantly, more fun then the magazine could ever be. There is no way the mag could ever be more up-to-date then a website, and thats what fans want now a days!

Will most likly buy it, as the wifey does enjoy flipping through it, and it's sold at the comic book shop. Won't decline any reason to stop by a comic book shop.

I like the magazine. I think it's pretty neat the layout is designed to look like an actual inflight airline magazine. I had a chance to get issue #1 when it came out, and passed when I discovered the LOST Chronicles book. Should have bought both. Issue #1 sells in the mid $20 range on ebay now.
Bought Issue #2 last night. It's very entertaining, featuring a story on how the raft was built, an interview with the man behind the polar bear segments, a story on a charity fundraiser the cast and crew had in the spring, and a very nice final farewell from Maggie Grace, who shows a LOT of maturity and class for a 21 year old actress who just lost a sweet gig on the greatest show in primetime.
The magazine is at work now, so I can't quote word for word, but she said "she drew the shortest straw :) and there are a lot of talented straws on the show"
Again, not completely accurate, but I thought it was a sweet quote, and a nice tip of the hat to a great ensemble. Her praise for EVERYONE connected with the show was impressive. No hard feelings or sour grapes.

Hey lostees....I was wondering if anyone noticed in the third lost magazine that just came out that there are messages in a different language at the bottom of each of the "number pages". Does anyone know or heard anything on it? Thanks

I went to the newstand to buy my copy of "Lost" but because I wasn't wearing my eyeglasses, I accidentally picked up the newest issue of "Lust". Surprisingly, there is a nude pictorial featuring Hurley of all people.

Discuss the Lost Magazine here. I just got issue five and it's really good. If you don't have it you should get it. The cover story is an interview with Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangiline Lily) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway). The magazine contains spoilers, though.

Is the magazine worth it, though? It's only 6 issues a year (right?) and it can't offer that much more insight into the show without the spoilers becoming too "spoilery". I guess the magazine would be good for interviews and adding on to the webmaze and stuff. What else is in it, Saywat?

Hmm... Not exactly. I live in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and I know for a fact that there's not such a thing as a brazilian edition of the "Lost Magazine" (believe me, I've done my homework). Even worse, I tried to subscribe for the American or UK edition of "Lost Magazine", but the publishers north of equator told me that they do not deliver the magazine to anywhere outside of US/Canada and Europe! So it's true that, until further proof in contrary, us southerns (Brazilians, Aussies and alike)are unable to get the OLM (Official Lost Mag), at least from official sources.

What your friend got was certainly just an ordinary tv-magazine, that decided to do an one-shot "lost special edition" (actually, I believe I saw such mag for sale some months ago here in Ipanema). But the content was just ordinary info form the show and had nothing do to with the OLM, for what I could check at the only one I got my hands on (#4), that a friend who visited the UK recently brought me.

So, I second the suggestion that US and Europe Losties be so kind as to post the essential spoilers and general info from the OLM, here or somewhere else, for the benefit of lostmagazineless losties. Or, even better, someone could make some scans (or the entire mag?) available for download!
