As for me, I like Wienerschnitzel(well, because I work there) But there is really good food! Like the All Beef Barbique Bacon Chedder Dog. mmmm....food.....

I'm waiting for McDonalds or someone to start advertising how much fat is in their burgers as a backlash to all these diets going down. Everyone knows the worse something is for you, the better it tastes, so work that angle. I care about eating tasty food, not rabbit food. Everywhere I go, healthy food is being turned into some sort of second coming (which conveniently cost more than regular food too:scratchch which if you think about, if I'm getting less of something, surely I'd pay less...). Here's my diet, I eat when I'm hungry, and when I'm full, I stop, even if there is still 3 pizza slices left. The human body is a remarkable thing, and it knows how much food it needs, and It'll take more than a couple of grams of fat to cause it problems.

Its not just the fat but the sodium. Some people have high blood pressure so they have to restrict their sodium intake. I also heard that there are 2500+ cals in 1 Big Mac. But besides all that, like Warthawg said, fast food and or junk food makes me sick, so I don't eat it.

:yeah: Everything you just said.
Jack in the Box makes me wanna :vomit:
KFC also has the only gravy I'll eat on potatos.
McDonalds' Crispy Chicken sandwich is the only thing I like there, and since it cost $4 ,you can probly guess how often I actually get one. I :heartpump their fries though!

Trevor, this is not always the case, regrettably.
Some people have less of an intuitive feel for when they are full. The human body typically processes 'fullness' within minutes after reaching that point.
For some people, it can take over twenty minutes to receive the same message, meaning a hell of a lot food can be consumed before it tells you to stop. And by then they get a real bad bloated effect. In these cases, people have to be trained when to make a concious effort to stop, despite what their body is saying at the time.
I'm not saying this is an excuse for all obesity, but it does account for some.

Big Macs are my favorite.
But I love Whataburger (this one may be just a Texas or southern chain)
Sonic is good also
Wendy's is up there also
and then maybe Burger King
Jack in the Box is too greasy but I always get their tacos; 200 tacos for $100, you can't beat that.

I like Arby's Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwiches, but since there are few where I live, it is only as a treat when I go to a specific mall.
When I lived in California, I LOVED Carl's Junior (I think that is the name) but they don't have that up here in Canada.
Oh and I love poutine at Harvey's, they make the best poutine, at least by fast food standards, since they use real cheese curd. And I believe every non-Canadian is now going "P-huh?!"

We don't have White Castle. At least not in Houston. So I didn't know what the movie title, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle meant until I watched the movie. I love fast food. When some new fast food comes out, I have to try it. Jalapeno Six Dollar Burger? There. Sourdough Ultimate Cheeseburger? Yes. Meat, cheese, cheese, meat and cheese. On a sourdough bun. Crunchwrap Supreme? Wrap my "Mexican Pizza" with refried beans, cheese, groud beef and sourcream in a tortilla. Then deep fry it. Mmmm.
Sadly, I eat fast food only about once or twice a month. And I've given up eating out at lunchtime for Lent. Ugh.

Well, obviously you don't have the Philly cheesesteaks shops such as Geno's (my fave), Pat's, Jim's, and Tony Luke's. Then there are Wawas - 711-like convenience stores... but so much better (listen to the song "Pennsylvania" by the Bloodhound Gang). I don't know of any Whataburgers or Jack in the Boxes, either, and there is only one Chic-fil-A around my area that is not in a mall.We barely have any Sonics around my neck of the woods; there are some up in North Jersey, but none that I have seen in South Jersey (there are commercials, at least). We have ShopRite and ACME over here much like your HEB or Randalls(?). I remember back in the day when we had Roy Rogers. I'm not sure if that's local or not. Also, another local color of New Jersey is Tastykakes which are little cupcake snacks that come in many varieties. BTW, do you guys have Checkers over there?

Regional fast food is fascinating. We have Rubio's and Wahoo's, both great fish taco joints. Lots of good fresh-mex too, like Baja Fresh. I'm not sure how far past the California borders this stuff has gotten. It's sad when the closest thing to "Mexican Food" in a town is Taco Bell.

No, I don't think we have Checkers. We actually do have some independent Philly Cheesesteaks shops. I like them a lot also. And we have many Hooters locations but that's not really fast food but I usually get the Philly cheesesteak at hooters.
If it weren't for fast food, I'd never get anything to eat during my shift...
Burger-wise, my favorite is a Triple Whopper with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup and mayo with a side of onion rings. On the late shift the local Burger King will build for me (if I call in ahead of time) a quadruple whopper for the same (reduced) price as the triple but that's a once in a while thing. Probably not healthy for me but my cholesterol is just fine, my blood pressure runs a tad lower than normal and I flat out don't give a fiddler's eff what the food police (or all those who seem aghast about my tastes in food) have to say about it...I'm six feet, 190 pounds the same weight I've been since age 25...
A little more expensive for me is Outback Steakhouse or Texas Cattle Company...
And what would a cop's life be without the ever present one dozen glazed Krispy Kreme donuts and a LARGE 7-11 coffee (real coffee, not that decafe mocha latte abomination they charge $5.00 a cup for), 2 creams, three sugars and hot enough to peel the paint off my cruisers hood...

Speaking of restaurants, has any one seen the movie "Waiting.. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348333/) ?" It just came out on DVD and it is comedy about some people working at a Bennigan's style restaurant. It's kinda funny but gross also. That movie has taught me to never piss off the person that serves your food.

I've never had a Philly in Philly, so I can't tell.
I do know that the BEST Philly I've ever had was in Irvine, California. Irvine is the most sterilized part of the O.C.
The place is called Philly's Best. It's also full of Philly memorabilia. The owners (a literal Mom & Pop shop) are from Philadelphia. They import ALL of their ingredients from Philly, the bread, the hot peppers, cheese, etc. (not sure about the meat and onions). They sell Tastykakes stuff. You can have your Philly Cheesesteak with Cheez Whiz if you choose. And they sell some local Philadelphia pop and beer in bottles.
Everybody I know who has eaten there swears that it is the most authentic Philly they've ever had outside of Philly. If you live around Southern California, I highly, highly recommend the place.

Wow, it's making me wanna go to all the way to Cali just to have a taste of what I can have 20 min. from my own house. It's a major plus that they have cheez whiz (I'm surprised someone else new the spelling lol), and it's even cooler that they have the Tastykakes and other Philly local items. On nearly every corner in Philadelphia there is a pizza or sandwich shop that makes cheesesteaks and hoagies. Philadelphians will argue at length about which shop makes the best cheesesteak. Everyone has their favorite. Pat’s King of Steaks (http://www.patskingofsteaks.com/), Lee’s, Geno’s (http://www.genosteaks.com/), Jim’s, Steve’s Prince of Steaks, Tony Luke’s, Dellasandro’s to name a few favorites.

"How to order a Steak"
by I. M. Hungry
Step 1.
Specify if you want your steak with (wit) or without (wit-out) onions.
{if you're not a rookie this should come naturally}
Step 2.
Specify Plain, Cheez Whiz, Provolone, American Cheese or a Pizza Steak.
{we have lettuce and tomatoes / { if we have to read your mind it's 50 cents extra}
Step 3.
Have your money ready.
{do all of your borrowing in line}
Step 4.
Practice all of the above while waiting in line.

Sadly, I eat fast food only about once or twice a month. And I've given up eating out at lunchtime for Lent. Ugh.
My sympathies, I gave up chochlat for lent this year, coffe last year (I was a wreack).
As far as me and fast food I genrally don't eat it. Fish and Chips is about the closest I get to fast food (and even then that's only about twice a year). Except for Frisco Freeze, which is one localy famos drive-in in Tacoma Washington (were I was born). I don't eat burgers, but there fries and Milkshakes are the best. So is there tarter sauce. If we are just in the City for the day we have to stop, even if we arrive at 12:00 at night.
The only other fast food places I ever visit are Dairy Queen (in the summer for the ocasional blizzerd) and Wendy's (the only place between sking and home that is half decent).

lol, that's funny.
My friend Amanda got food poisoning from Wendy's after she had to go back cause they'd screwed up her order.

At this point, I'd kill for a decently spicy salsa. Midwesterners are such wussies.

I can eat anything really. Just not Jack in the Box. I got really sick from their food because their meat was bad.:Cowdance:
Okay, this is really weird, especially considering that ror had the same problem as well.
I, in fact, refuse to eat at Jack in the Box because, when I was a kid (late 80s-early 90s), a whole bunch of people got sick from a JitB restaurant in Michigan. It was all over the news and everyone was freaking out and for some reason the story has stuck with me to this day. I have always refused JitB and people always thought that I was crazy by basing it on something that happened forever ago, but I see I was right.
HA! :thwak: Take that, doubters! I am not crazy, merely the lone voice of sanity in a world of madness, only proven correct after so very, very long. :D
I have serious issues.

I usually go to a local burger place called Five Guys. I think someone should open a fast food calamari joint.

We have a fast food sushi restaurant chain here in the islands where you sit at a counter that has a conveyor belt that different plates of sushi travel around on. If you see some sushi that looks good you take it right off the conveyor belt as it passes by.
Different types of sushi are placed on different colored plates and the color of the plate indicates how much that piece of sushu costs. For example the sushi on the blue plate is $1.50 and the sushi on the yellow plate is $2.00.
If all very inexpensive, very fresh and very delicious!!!

God, do I love living in Cincinnati! All I can say is how do people live without Skyline? Or Gold Star, but I think they might have that outside of Cincinnati. Am I right?
Skyline Chili is easily my favorite. There are a few franchises in Florida, but other than that I think it's just Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

We spent the 80's in Hilo. I remember first seeing tv ads for the restaurant with the sushi-go-round - went there once, what fun!

IHOP and McDonalds. I eat Mcdonalds, but I don't eat it so much that I get fat. I'm a 90 pound 13 Year old, for Christ's sakes! (That's 10 below average)
Also, IHOP's Ham and Cheese omeltes.... yummy!! I plan on going on a international tour of IHOPS all around the world and eating 1 item from every IHOP.
And calamari is very delicious.
I used to like McDonalds.. before they "improved" the chicken stuff (chicken mcnuggets and mcchicken).. So all that's left for me there is the BigMac and the Hamburger. My boyfriend loves Burger King.. Me, I don't like any Burger King Burger. The only thing edible are the Fries and the Donuts. And that Banana Split Shake.
I absolutely looove Pizza Hut (does that count as Fast Food? :>). But they keep opening up Subway stores everywhere here instead of something useful like.. Starbucks. ^^
And here in Germany, the most popular Fast Food these days is the "Doener Kebap". Turkish-German Wrap-Thingie. Tasty. And rich in calories, too. (more than a BigMac)

In Detroit here we also have a Coney Island Downtown called "Lafayette Coney island". If your ever in Detroit you have to eat there. In my opinion the BEST coneys ever.

Subway is good. Sometimes I crave a McDonald's cheeseburger. And that new 99 cent Wendy's chicken sandwich is pretty good.
