has ana lucia served her purpose?

i was thinkin of the people who could go if there wasa death and what purpose they served. well i thought if she was killed would she have done her job and i say yes. what was her job you ask? i'll tell you

first her job was to help the tailies survive so they could unite with the other survivors(eco and bernard in particular). w/o her they'd all be dead and bernard would be without his mate

her other job was to toughen up the fuselage people. i think that maybe after she organizes the other people into a force or when they all work more as a group that she will die.

sharron's death showed them to stay on their toes too and will also make it easier i think for people to mourn her since she killed a friend. really cept for jack no one will be sad.

I don't think Ana-L's job on the show is done yet. Her character still has a lot to offer. Plus, we don't know if she has resolved her personal issues. There is still the love rectangle between her, Jack, Sawyer and Kate. Plus, every show needs a character that people don't like. It makes them tune in every week to see if anything bad happens to them.

I hope she sticks around through at least next season, but it wouldn't surprise me if she dies in the finally.

first his job was to ignore the fusies so they could fend for themselves.. w/o him they'd all be happy and sawyer would be without his guns.

his other job was to ignore the tail section people. i think that maybe after Locke organizes the other people into a lynch mob or when they all work more as a group that he will die.

shannon's death showed them they're in deep doodoo with him as a leader and will also make it easier i think for people to mourn him since he's never around anyway. really cept for Rose no one will be sad. :D

Jack can't die yet. He needs to be around to try (unsuccessfully) to save Ana Lucia when she "accidentally" falls into a pit and is impaled on a sharpened pole. :D

:rolleyes: Yeah, maybe that would explain why she is such a prima donna..

Personally, I think she's served her purpose. The "tough girl who's actually soft on the inside" thing has been done ad nauseum in TV. She was here just to be the one who held the tailees together, but now she is without much of a role with the merged groups... except to give a surly look now and then. I wouldn't miss her character much, any flashbacks that serve to "humanize" her more wouldn't change her present one-dimensionality.
