This thread contains a short discussion of a photo from the LOST set in Hawaii very early in the thread, then moves into some Widmore related websites for the remainder of the thread. Just wanted to give some introduction and clarification.

Look at the name on the burner part of the hot air balloon. Not sure if anyone else has brought this up yet.

Still doesn't say much about the connection between Widmore and Dharma, although I guess speculation would be that Widmore constructed the hatches.

the real "dead" henry, this could just mean that the ballon was made by widmore without a dharma connection

I think the point is that there is a windmore dharma connection. and I don't think that it says anything about the "real" HG having a connection to Dharma anymore than Michael is connected to dharma because he worked for a construction company (this is assuming that the construction company that he worked for was windmore) but assume you understand my point

Bad swim lore
Disable worm
Bedlam is row
I blow dreams
Labored swim
Bridal meows
Bewail dorms
I blame words
Lamb dowries
Weirdo balms
Boars mildew
Sidearm blow
Warmed boils

Mad sir elbow
Mad lib sower

I just thought it was interesting that Widmore Labs was first seen on the Preggers Test where the OBGYN (Womb Dr.?) lies to Sun about her fertility...

Thanks for pointing out! I think Sledge has had it for a bit on his site also, but I wouldn't have found it if you hadn't tipped us off. I think this may possibly be the only really confirmed easter egg to come out of "Dave".

But what does it mean? DHARMA planted the preggo test, AND had flew real Henry to the island?

lol..

Widmore could function as a front for Dharma out in the normal world.
But let's see...Widmore constructs buildings, makes pregnancy tests, and hot air balloons. No company does all that; hell, that outdoes Wal-Mart.

04-07-06, 11:56 PM
Nice catch!!

Widmore constructs buildings

We don't have any definitive proof of this, do we?

I find it strange also that this Widmore Labs company constructs both hot air balloon burners and pregnancy tests. This is why I'm thinking that perhaps Widmore is a subsidiary of Dharma? I mean, Dharma has to plaster its logo all over everything, so why wouldn't Widmore? It's in a pretty conspicuous space.

Also, since when does a "Labs" produce burners? Unless they could be experimenting with prototype burners/engines or something, and the real Henry was the guinea pig for their experiment?

dp2
04-08-06, 12:11 AM
At this point, there is no connection with DHARMA. Widmore Labs made the burner which is on Real Henry's balloon. Real Henry. Real, dead, buried Henry. Not the guy in the Hatch (who we also don't know has a connection to DHARMA, by the way. We think he's probably an Other, but we don't know they're DHARMA either). That's not to say there isn't a connection, but the burner has no known connection to DHARMA.

raven444
04-08-06, 12:12 AM
Yep, I think it was in 'Fire + Water' that Charlie walked past a building in the background with a Widmore Construction sign on it.

That's an absurd scope for a company to produce things on, isn't it? You'd need to be a government to do that.

**Interesting**

Ah, the possible Widmore and Dharma connection.
Yes, it is possible that Widmore may have found a way onto the Island and is looking to either stop Dharma or steal their secrets.
I asked Javi if Dharma and Oceanic were connected.
He said "Not that I know of"
But what about Widmore and Oceanic?
Their pregnancy test just happened to be on the flight, and although it wasn't actually seen on the show, it can be speculated that the Real Henry Gale was a "spy"/employee of Widmore. Thus why he was found and killed once Dharma realized who he was, and who he was working for.
What if the idea that the "others" tried to preselect the passengers of Flight 815 is still right on? Only those "others" would be Widmore, and they hand picked a group to try to STOP Dharma. Too bad about Walt.
If this is the case, Widmore picked a "good" group.
Don't forget that Widmore could just be like "Wal-Mart" and not really be all that important.
For some reason I don't think that's the case though.

Namaste,
Truff

Actually, no it isn't. It's more slender than the 8 symbol, signifying a loop that doesn't end (infinite). The 8 is generally two stacked circles.

Now that, Ralf, is a very good question. My friends and family have come up with a few strategies.
1)Nod and smile to whatever i happen to be talking about and disregard shortly thereafter.
2)Feign hearing loss and or sleep when i launch into discussion.
3)Move often, leave no contact information whatsoever.
4)Set me up with Lost Season 2 dvd, a TV, a rack of BL...and tell me there are 8 Widmore easter eggs to be found.

As you all may know it says widmore labs on both suns pregnacy test, Henrys baloon and a sig in london wich is shown in episode "Fire + Water". I googled for widmore labs and found this site: http://www.widmorelaboratories.com/ CHECK THE RIGHT SIDE.

Also, on the map shown on the blast door in the episode when locke get stuck and the UV-lights turn on, there are 6 different bunkers in the edges and one large circle in the middle, If you take the average on the LOST numbers (4+8+15+16+23+42)/6 (notice: 6 numbers, six bunkers) you get the number 18. The number 18 consists of a 1 and a 8, the first letter in the alphabet is A and the eith letter is H ,,The initials for ALVAR HANSO. Maybe he is in the large circle.

Trail - maybe the fact www.widmore.com (http://www.widmore.com) showed up and appears to be official motivated the change of heart, since that may be related to the up and coming ABC maze.

I just closed it, tried again since I checked in Bork - I can still access it.

I get the same thing as Trail

ILE :ImLost: I am so confuzzled by the array of Widmore sites at this point, I have no idea which is which anymore. Hopefully the ARG will identify the important one or ones so we can focus our energy on those. This is going to test all of our organizational skills

I see the Coming Soon from register.com
Interesting that ABC is goin round and buying Widmore domains from fans.
Ralf - you'll have to keep us posted if they decide they want www.widmorelaboratories.com (http://www.widmorelaboratories.com)
This is a good sign though. Decreases the chance of somebody screwin round with the game.

Go to http://www.widmorelabs.net.

This appears to be part of the upcoming Webmaze/Lost Experience thing or this may be a fan site, but at this time I'm not 100% sure.

It's registered to an MF Stenz, at a non-existant address (9401 S. Painter Ave.) in St. Paul, MN. The technical contact is Microsoft as a part of the Microsoft Office Live beta.

Since I don't think Microsoft would be registering DNS names for anything they aren't officially working on, its a good chance that it's valid.

we saw the Stenz one before and it was researched on one of these maze threads, thought to be a fansite so far.

The whole story is in the widmore labs.net / Minnesote metals..thread. It is a fan site, not there is anything wrong with that.

dont be discouraged, the people here are very sharp, there will be mazes a plenty in the coming weeks. I think by the summer we'll be on overload, again this group will be sure to lead us thru the maze so stick around.

Don't feel that way at all. If I knew how to get the degree symbol, it'd make more sense.

hold down the alt key and press 0176 to get the degrees symbol.

98.6° <-- if thats what your talking about.

on a side note i had to do the symbol on a text document (or notepad) and copy and paste. paste on here by holding down ctrl+v.
