With all the diversity on the island (Nigerians, African-Americans, Koreans, Hispanics, disabled (Locke) the different religions and beliefs, etc, etc) why hasn't there been any mention of homosexuals? Because that episode is yet to come! Surely Kate and Ana Lucia will end up hooking up! They're both hot and if you're a member of the lesbian world you probably see that this hookup is not so hard to imagine. They're both powerful, strong, and smart female characters...if only there were cars on the island so they could get all greasy fixing them! Ahhh.....

Nice thought, but I'd hate that. I mean, yeah, Kate is annoying, but she doesn't deserve the agony of being with the #1 champion of annoying characters (I think AnaL even beats out Shannon for that title).

If you're going to stick Kate with a woman, at least be sensible and say Sun. Sun has enough issues with her husband and men in general, she might think about going to the other side. And Kate and Sun at least have some trust and rapport.

I don't know about Ana-Lucia & Kate, but IMO it would definitely be nice to see the gay community represented on the show--since the show has been particularly good at showing a diverse range of different types of people. Maybe they could show that a couple Red-Shirts are gay or something? JMO (As a person whose only sibling is a lesbian, i am a big supporter of gay issues.)

That being said, the only gay character they ought to have on Lost is one who 'comes out' in passing. The minute they attempt an episode that centers around a gay character's gay struggles, just to appease the gay community, the show will have jumped the shark.

As long as ABC is owned by Disney I wouldn't count on it. They tried that on Once and Again.It was cancelled.Obviously Lost is to popular to cancel, but they'd find other ways to cause problems for the show.

And anyway I think beginning and ending a sentence with Kate probably breaks some obscure grammar rule or something.

i've said from day one that there's gonna reach a time when those guys are gonna get so desperate we're gonna have some gay action. unfortunately however, since the gender divide is weighted heavily on the male side, i also feel that this is the way its more likely to go :(.

i for one would love to see kate hook up with any of the other females on the island. i was initially pushing for shannon, but obviously that is not to be the case. i guess i oughta plug for sun or claire now...
