I came across a site today called http://www.ihatelost.com (http://www.ihatelost.com/) - now it sounds harsh and stupid but it got me thinking.

There are soooo many unanswered questions on Lost and so many sub plots and back stories that just down get answered.

Have Lost, Lost the plot?

For instance, in S2 E2 when sawyer was floating around and the sharks were about, there was a Dharma logo on the sharks tail - honestly! there's a picture here:

http://www.ihatelost.com/read_lost_information.asp/id-3/Episode_02.html (http://www.ihatelost.com/read_lost_information.asp/id-3/Episode_02.html)

And looking at the recent episodes, and most importantly the current one, nothing actually happened... they all got ready to do something, and the only real thing happened right at the very very end with Michael, but that's it, the rest was a pointless backstory which touched on an argueably pointless fact about Rose.

I really really REALLY liked lost series 1, but they've jsut forgotten to address the already open points. A few people on that site have been saying that if it gets cancelled then all the fans will be left with absolutlely no closure, and it's a shame.

Thoughts?

she calls herself pooey, because thats what i think of lost! it′s a good show and it has huge potential but the writers are taking the piss. Can you not sense that they′re ruining a show just to ensure its longevity? I could not watch it, but I do because I enjoy the theory of the show but i′m getting fed up that they′re not answering anything - there′s a certain point when they′re just taking the piss. lost is taking he piss now, its was great but now a hell of a lot of people are becoming bored with it, its just not as exciting anymore, yes lost was great, now its ok but the main points are pushed aside, where is the island, is anyone goinmg to try and find a way to get off, where walt? what the hells that smoke that had echo past in it and guards the island, ?? who knows they arnt even touching up on them subjects its not, oh my god the fat mans got food, whop cares?! the smoke thats ment to guard the island hasnt done much guarding has it, the others are rarely seen, except ′henry′ but hes captured, and still not much is done with him.

I agree with the fact about try to drag it out - thats why channel 4 are brining season forward. However, the script is "on the edge of your seat" thats if keeps in the mood for it. My mate said it was getting crap mid way through season 1 but then changed back to "one of the best on TV". You have to remember that the time on the island is only 2 months and towards the end of season 1 was 48 days or there abouts.

If they were to answer all the questions now, the show would end. Is that what you want?

The only reason people feel that the show is being stretched out and is getting boring is becuase the writing and directing in season 1 was far better than in season 2. To me the first season was much slower than the second season has been. The second season has more ground to cover and the same complications taht were in the first season are in the second season so why is the second season taking all the crap. It's because the execution by the writers and directors hasn't been that great. It's a slow moving series but the writers are for some reason trying to rush the emotions. The best examples are the Locke flashbacks in the first season and in the second season. Locke's flashbacks in the frist season were great and in the second season the story was just as good but the effort was not there. The fact is that Lost is moving at the same pace as the first season but with so much knew stuff introduced it just seems that lost is moving at a slower pace. But I do agree Lost is gonna have to pick up on the action if they can't captivate the audience by the drama. I'm against show's trying to stretch out shows just so the ratings hold up. That mean's that tv is a business instead of an art. One thing that I'm thankful for and that I know is going to assure a relatively short series is the flashbacks. If this series were to stay on the air for five or more seasons what could they possibly still have to tell about the survivor's histories. My guess is that this show is gonna go for four seasons which is a good number. It's not too long or too short. The real question of course is will lost really try to expand and build on the mysteries posed by the island or will the show simply become a soap opera about human interaction. The first season balanced it out nicely but at the rate the show's going now, let's just say I'd rather it be on the flipside
