View Full Version : The Lost Experience Alternate Reality Game HYPE and Prep Thread
I already posted this in the BBR, but here it is again just in case someone missed it.
ABC, Channel 4 Television in the U.K, and Australia Channel 7 will launch the “Lost Experience,” a revolutionary interactive experience based on the international hit television series, “Lost”. Working together, more than 30 broadcasters from Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East will release clues with new information regarding the mystery and mythology of the island featured in the series. Fans looking to solve the puzzle will find audio, video, and text clues in locations around the world, along with an online community in which to connect and collaborate with others. Just like any other good mystery, clues can and will happen anywhere at anytime across multiple platforms.

The real deal is coming SOON! :D
Get ready, folks.
EDIT by Truff - I added "HYPE and prep thread" to the title as we won't be using this thread as the ARG thread in the subforum. Enough Hype and Prep has gone down in here so far, I figured it was an obvious decision. ;)
All discussion about this game on Lost-TV can be found in the Official 2006 ABC Webgame (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=70) subforum of Spin-offs. - LIW

Will Dr. Candle resurface from his hide-out?
We do expect that game to resume at some point, lace. Here is the thread for it, from when it was active before.

The REAL Maze cometh!
I cannot wait to work with you all again. To read the Truffula notes in the night, to see a Yung map or an Aggie post , to read the insightful helpful words of Lab, to play...... yeah, THAT'S what I'm talking 'bout!
Carmen (aka Dramatic aka Boots)
The power slogan simply needs to be--"Pee on it!"
Man, I forget what the power slogan for the last ARG I played in was. A group of people got together at an ARG gaming site to play through the Matrix inspired ARG "Metacortechs Scandal" which was spankingly awesome--our group even earned the nickname of "Meta Urchins" ;)
I'm betting on the Lost Experience to be a hundred times more involved than Metacortechs was, and that had me up for many wee-early morning hours solving puzzles and de-strgging images.
I loves me some good ARGing, I loves it good ;)

Just saw this on Yahoo News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060424/ap_en_tv/tv_lost)
NEW YORK - ABC will launch a global interactive game based on the hit TV show "Lost," the network announced Monday.
http://us.bc.yahoo.com/b?P=AeNhg86.I3r0ynlBREzJNRIR0APXCURM1VsAAyqd&T=1a5h23gsu%2fX%3d1145886043%2fE%3d46078134%2fR%3d news%2fK%3d5%2fV%3d2.1%2fW%3d8%2fY%3dYAHOO%2fF%3d1 409886142%2fH%3dY2FjaGVoaW50PSJuZXdzIiBjb250ZW50PS JuZXR3b3JrO0ludGVybmV0O0l0O3ZpY2UgcHJlc2lkZW50O2l0 O3JlZnVybF93d3dfeWFob29fY29tIiByZWZ1cmw9InJlZnVybF 93d3dfeWFob29fY29tIiB0b3BpY3M9InJlZnVybF93d3dfeWFo b29fY29tIg--%2fQ%3d-1%2fS%3d1%2fJ%3d5223BECE&U=1393k2gkd%2fN%3dNTKcJc6.IsI-%2fC%3d393704.8102300.8957283.1442997%2fD%3dLREC%2 fB%3d3366234
Details, however, are about as mysterious and convoluted as the plot of the island castaway drama. The "Lost Experience" will be Internet-based and will feature a parallel story line that is not part of the TV show.
It will begin May 2 in the United Kingdom, May 3 in the U.S. and May 6 in Australia. There is no winning prize, but the experience will offer clues that could unlock some of the island's many secrets.
"It's like a giant, worldwide mysterious jigsaw puzzle that will come to life for all the world to solve," Mike Benson, senior vice president of marketing for ABC Entertainment, said in a statement.
What is known about the challenge is that it includes the introduction of new characters and the mysterious Hanso Foundation. The first clue requires finding a toll-free number that will be released during the show or commercial breaks.
Clues will vary by continent, so participants will benefit from coordinating their information. ABC said the game is designed to appeal to both fans and people unfamiliar with "Lost."

Phone number......hmmmm.....maybe we will get a better shot of the phone number in the Dharma locker. That had to be placed there for a reason.
Anyone else find it odd that they are telling us exactly when it is going to start? I wouldve expected them to kind of drop clues subtly leading us to the start. Perhaps the "announced" start is a red herring. I am going to be keeping a very close eye out starting.........NOW! (not that everyone else here isnt already) Thanks for the info though

I would suspect that they are announcing the correct starting date. This isn't a bunch of gamers begin a game. It's a tv show which wants to involve as many people as possible. They'll advertise it to get it started, to hype as many people up as they can. And they they'll pretend like they know nothing about it. LOL.
Just my opinion, but I think they would not give a false start date, which would probably upset a lot of people. But anything is possible, so it doesn't hurt to keep our eyes open.

I am definitely piccking up what you are laying down here Jeannie....
maybe I am just extremely optimistic....but perhaps that is when they will try to hook the general audience...but just maybe, the game will already be afoot by that time.... dun dun dunnnnnn
To argue with myself, maybe they WONT do that, becuz they might have some pissed off people who think they are behind the eight ball so to speak if the game has already started....but I am hoping they are not all "corporate" about this, and treat it like a real ARG....no rules, no confines to try and please the general public....just make it fierce!
Jeannie
04-24-06, 05:35 PM
I hope so too, LAN. I just think they would run a huge risk of pissing people off if they announced a start date, and the general public runs to a site like this after the show and finds that we're a week ahead of them.
(Not that I'd mind since I'm here, but I imagine some others might be just a tad bit upset with them.)
The fact that they are announcing it is kind of going against the rules, but didn't they mention in a podcast that yes, this was going to happen and once it started they would deny it? So I think it may start as announced, but then drop to the "no rules" type play.

Hidden domain, no surprise there, but it was only purchased last Friday, and only for one year, which doesn't seem like a long planned out operation to me. The .net and .org domain also have not been purchased, which an official site would most likely do. I'd say proceed with caution before labeling it official.

I'm a little unsure of where to post this, but I think it is important, so I'm puttin it in here and not in BBR where it could easily be overlooked.
I said this in another thread earlier, and I feel I need to say it again in here.
With the OFFICIAL LOST WEBMAZE beginning in 9 DAYS, I am expecting to see impostors show up out of the woodworking. Folks purposely trying to throw us off track, pretending to be a part of the LOST "Experience". These are folks who have nothing better to do than screw around with ARGers/Webmazers.
Three simple words - OLD SCOOTER DUDE
Most of yal weren't here to see the havoc he wreaked on these boards at the end of the last season, and there wasn't a "webmaze" then for folks like OSD to mess around even more, so I'm even MORE nervous this time.
And with all the other "webmaze" debacles, I would hate to see folks gettin frustrated with the OFFICIAL Webmaze cause of other folks screwin around. I would hope that ABC won't allow this to happen, but it IS the internet and some stuff DOES slip thru the cracks.
I guess I'm just overly cautious after what has happened in the past.
[/end rant]

04-24-06, 07:52 PM
Although I'm very excited about this, I'm also trying to limit my expectations. By opening up this webmaze to such a large audience, I'm inclined to think that the clues will have to be made so obvious to appease all the viewers. I doubt it will be as sleuthy as VM's masterpeices.
I'm totally not trying to complain, I think its going to be great fun. Just going into it with a leveled attitude.
It would be really cool to have different Sleuth teams, where all teams are given the same set of clues and whoever figures it out first wins. Now, THAT would be something. We could represent Team Vincent, and would undoubtedly crush the competition.
The_Island
04-24-06, 07:53 PM
nothing woring with being overly cautious...everyone is entitled to their opinion. especially based on past experience. I still wouldnt pass public judgement without facts tho. I wish it were 9 days from now....besides VM's stuff...i'm hungry for something gooood! :)
We could represent Team Vincent, and would undoubtedly crush the competition.
That would be almost as unfair as say the United States being allowed to have NBA players playing in the Olympics.....the rest of the world wouldnt have a chance.... Ummm....ok, bad example..
Is everyone here "downstairs" ready for the inundation of newbies, noobs, trolls and other forms of lesser GDeans that are about to descend upon our utopian society here......I for one have my Phasers set on decimate.

For anyone who wants a little history on the ARG (alternate reality game) genre, take a look at this link. It is based on the AI interactive story that basically modernized and set the basis for all previous and future web-mazes. It is written by Adrian Hon, who was basically the cloudmakers (web group, puzzle solvers) version of our Truff. He talks a lot about the experience and might give us ideas of where the Lost puzzlemakers might choose to go.

So im wondering if there is a better way to "beat" the webmaze then just everyone for them selves looking. Think we should maybe break the puzzle into sections for people to look at? This sounds to me like were going to need people all over to really do this right. Might be a good idea if we cordinate before this all starts so we know we have all the "areas" coverd.
All I can say is, the REAL henry gale and the University of Minnesota are ready for duty.
Didnt wanna make a new thread so I thought I would stick it in here.

TRUFF - I agree with you here on the commercials theory. My $.02:
There's a business aspect to all of this. Remember when ABC stated that they were going to air LOST for free online? The catch was that they would retain the commercials and the viewer is forced to watch them. See, TiVo (in a glorious way) is hurting the TV industry. When viewers can flip past all the commercials, TV networks find their commercial timeslots not as valuable. And commercials pay bank to run their ads during one of the best shows ever.
SO....
...one way to keep people watching the commercials (TiVo or not) is to plant clues within. I think its a shrewd idea, actually. I don't care - commercials, no commercials, TiVo or not, my fingers are fixed on the cell phone and my eyes fixed on the TV!!!!
I feel a "RAAAAAAAAH!" coming on just thinking about it.

Heyo. I'd say we've likely found our first 'official' site...
Edit: My bad...and yeah, now that I look at it more closely, not so much with the convinced.
RoseArienh
04-26-06, 03:46 AM
jacksonwest, there is a thread devoted to that topic in Spinoffs and Webmaze Discussion.
I actually think the registration date makes it even more suspicious. Damon and Carlton came out and said the signage in Fire + Water said "Widmore Construction" on the podcast that was released on February 6. Seems to me like someone rushed to register the websites once they heard that.
OK, I just want to get the ball rolling on this, I'll bet a few of you have thought that same things. We know we have the brainpower, stamina, perserverence around here to tackle anything that comes our way. What we do need, for speedsake, is a way to catalog what occurs. I know we are limited with the amount of threads we can create, but here is just a random idea I just thought of. What if we designated certain posters access to post on the first page of a new thread (lab, we can simultaneously close this one). The people who post on these first ten pages will basically be able to edit their posts throughout the game to summarize the game and where we are....similar to Truff's, Aggie and Kathaclysm's recaps. Now, I am not in anyway suggesting a hierarchy or anything of that sort, in fact we can have as many designated pages in the front as we have people who would care to be there and update. This way we dont have to dig through a 1000 pages to find specific data.......archives as Truff might put it.
Anyone picking up what I'm laying down here? Bob is.
Working along those lines kind-of, lostagain. We are ready. And if anyone is in doubt on a site for the near forseeable future, feel free , start a thread if you think it warrants its own thread, we can always merge it into another thread if we need to. And we can also edit to clarify whether official/unofficial as we go. We got it. But if the person is starting a thread for a site or certain aspect, yes, they need to be prepared, as that thread author to keep post 1 updated. It is their responsibilty to maintain that Post 1. And we can work on recap, and stickys and such as we go, we are winging it until we get a feel for what they are gonna throw at us. But we have no fear or worry, we, the Mazers, and we, the folks directing traffic down here are READY!
And this thread will stay for now as sort of a check in and redirect and general info type thread for at least the next week or so.
Everyone continue to direct new posters to BBR for chat and assistance, and give them the old search thread tool and stay on topic speech and such. Make them comfortable. It might be 20 new posters, it might be 200 new posters. Let's just stay ready and focused. And, let's keep it the great place it is and treat everyone, new and old, with mutual respect. WE ARE A TEAM. Let's Go!
WE CANNOT LOSE. WE ARE READY.

My measley Post #200:
I'll say this: It's good to know we got Lab on our team, watching over the entire playing field for us - like our catcher scanning the field. Many thanks for you constant vigilence!
LAN - your idea is fantastic. People, our problem will never be a lack of brain power. We'll win that battle everytime. I think the humble suggestion is that what we need to watch out for is communication. BECAUSE we approach clues with such enthusiasm and quick thinking, it is sometimes hard to maintain a respository of facts/thoughts/etc., which will be critical to our success. If necessary, we'll need to maintain up-to-the-minute facts and findings so that any TeamVincent member can log in at any time and be totally up-to-speed, ready to analyze the most current clue. LAN's idea of potential thread-masters, keeping updates of all that goes on, is an excellent one, IMO.
Very cheesy, but this is one of those moments where I see Zeke saying, "...this is our house...". While we of course accept and welcome all newcomers (as I was welcomed months ago), TeamVincent has been well-trained to know the game better than anyone.
Looking forward to some further discussion...

I suggested this in the BBR earlier, and we may need to do it if we can't corral our UK friends soon.
There is an "International Forum" on the main page here, I am suggesting recruiting from there. Look at some of the UK posters there, and see who would be likely to participate (or at least help get us the first clue).
Another thing, and this one is kinda important - TIME ZONES.
If I'm correct, the UK is 6-7 hours AHEAD of the East Coast of the US.
And that means (depending on what time LOST airs on Ch4) they will have the clue roughly between 1-3pm EST on Tues.
Guess who is gonna become mysteriously ill and have to call out of work on Tues? ;)

Here's my confusion: I don't get how the UK maze would be the same as ours, for obvious reasons. They aren't watching Season 2 there for starters. Also, wouldn't making the UK clues a part of the North American maze make it exceptionally difficult for most people who do not have international 'friends' to play???? Just curious what you all may think of that.
rottenralf
04-26-06, 08:05 PM
Pene - I don't think what episodes anyone is getting will have much effect on the webmaze, it is only back story and additional background for the show. It would only tie loosely into the shows storyline so which episode is airing where shouldn't matter too much.
The different continents, I think, are because there may be physical clues given which won't have the images or pictures online.

And we have even MORE info about what is coming HERE (http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,18877,00.html) (yeah its a few days old, but still....:p)
There are specific quotes I want to point out -
The Lost Experience will require players to trade email messages and phone calls and check out billboards, TV commercials and Websites to gather all the necessary clues
In a savvy stroke of synergy, the game's first clue, in the form of a toll-free number that you must call, will air during a May 3 Lost episode. The first clues for Others in the U.K. and Australia are being released May 2 and May 6, respectively
More than 20 broadcastes on five continents will air the series of clues in different ways and ABC would like to see fans reaching out to each other to stay up to date on the latest Lost Experience info

Turff, did you capiltalize "Others" or is that verbatim? Interesting if they put it out that way....

Since I am not Turff, I can't answer for him ;), but if I was, I would say that it is verbatim, the only thing added was the bold for emphasis. :)

On that note super, while recruiting last night, I came across this frappr Map, started by Island Maverick - HERE (http://www.frappr.com/losttv)
Combine that one with yours, and we are SOOOO set up for this "Global" thing.

Did he make that map for the ARG, or just for Lost-TV in general? Most of the names are new to me, except for a few. That would be great if they are all interested in the webmaze.
ETA: Penelope, is there any interst over at theblackrock.com?

The Map he made was for the GD-International Forum. But I told him I was gonna use it for recruitment for the Webmaze, and he was cool with it (just remember that when posting ANY webmaze info outside of Spinoff, put it in Spoiler Tags no matter what! ;))
UKers that don't download are ALL jacked for the start of S2 on Tues (remember that feeling - WHAT IS IN THE HATCH???). So recruiting has been pretty easy so far :)

Hello and welcome to Manar and Tee!
Hello and welcome back to SeeYou!
The thread in the section named "The Boom Boom Room" is for socializing - please be sure to stop in and say hello! The menu is on Post #1, and no catching up is required in that thread. It's also the best place to ask questions about the Spinoff section. The folks here are wonderful, welcoming, and warm-hearted, and made me feel like one of them right from the start.

Welcome back, SYITNL !
The "copenhagen" hoax was my intro to webmazing and it was a bitter pill, but since then we have had an incredibly positive experience that removed that bad taste for me: Flight 213 (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14602)
This new adventure (with this same group of webmazers here) has a similar potential.

Take a look at this site:
http://www.freewebs.com/thelostexperience/
We can use it as a resource.
I am willing to create a site on oceanicworldairlines.com as a summary / repository of our work on the experience if you all think it would help.
In researching how others are organizing themselves - there are a few teams that are very well organized. Well organized teams will do the following:
1. Decide on the single web resource to summarize work to date.
2. Decide on the single point of contact to post info there.
3. Assign specific kinds of work to individuals or sub-groups.
4. Determine agreed upon standards - ex:
As the game is being played in UK, US & Australia - one group is using a standardized code to identify clues and answers. I like this idea - ex:
UK clues are marked:
UK-Clue1-Toll Free #
UK-Clue1-Found Website
US-Clue1-Toll Free #
AU-Clue5-Hidden message
This standard would be used for post subjects in LOST-TV as well as on the summary webpage.
I don't want to just assume leadership on this, but if there is a consensus for me to create the page and be the single point of contact, I am game.
Let me know your thoughts. We can also post the individual and group assignments there.
Can you tell I am getting excited?
We do not have much time and I think we need to do some pre-game organizing as Others have.

Thanks guys, but I'm not going to take donations. I do this because I get as much out of it as you all do. I appreciate your support and really appreciate the offers.
Just to clarify for folks - the website I have set up for Team Vincent - Strategic Command Center for the LOST Experience game is:
http://www.oceanicworldairlines.com/lostexperience/
Some people have suggested I password protect it to restrict access so it does not get too many other people using it.
I have mixed feelings about that. We have always been about sharing information with anyone.
A compromise might be to leave a summary page open, but the team and clues pages protected.
Let me know what you think and I'll go with the majority.

I posted this on another thread (that deteriorated rapidly). Maybe this is a good spot for it.
I was a passive player and member of the Cloudmakers during the A.I. ARG. Never really solved any of the problems, but had fun looking around the sites, getting phone calls and emails. Even participated in the "Live" phone call. Ended up getting a prop from the movie for participating in the game. (My other email name is on the special movie poster).
Sean Stewart was the writer for the Beast. I went over to his web site and he and Elan Lee started their own web based promotion company that creates similar projects.
What I find strange coincidences are two things: Lost has a novel coming out next week written by a ghost writer..(Stewart has written several novels and is due for a new one) and the name of the company they formed: 4ORTY2WO.
It would be great if the same people behind The Beast were behind this.

I bet you guys are licking your chops. I think this game is a great opportunity for LOST-TV to shine, and I'm kind of selfish. I want the best and brightest of people discussing Lost to discuss it on this board, so I get the benefit of the best discussion. I hope you guys feel the same way.
To that end, if you need any organization changes in the spin-off forum before the game or during the game, let me know. If you want a sub-forum specifically for this game, or more sub-forums to organize your discussion and your thoughts, let me know. I'm sure lab will be on top of it, but feel to PM me or any supermod or admin with requests that might improve both the fun and the success you have playing.
We're prepared to give you all the support you need, but we need a couple things from you too. First, please confine open discussion of webgame discoveries to the spin-off forum. The discoveries you make here are considered spoilers in the rest of the forum, and if you want to add that info into a discussion elsewhere on the board, please put it in a spoiler tag and label it webgame so people will have the choice to read it or not. We're going to take posting of unprotected webmaze info outside of this forum seriously. Second, please provide a concise summary of your confirmed discoveries in a sticked thread at the top of this forum. This will be a great way to get the information to the people who are interested, but can't play for whatever reason.
I'm kind of jealous since I can't play. You guys are going to get information the rest of us don't have. Only you will know the relevence of the information, so we have to depend on you to make good decisions. But since I can't play, if you PM me for some help, please don't spoil me! ;) Or any other mod or admin. I want to do what I can to make you shine, but I don't want to be spoiled. I know you guys are going to kick some butt, and I hope you bring back the best of the rest of the gamers too. Have fun. Let me know what I can do to help (other than playing). ;)

No problem!!! We are ready down here for the maze!
I think a sub-forum specifically for the official game would be best. I've participated in a few of these things, and multiple threads are basically a must. The general format at places like unfiction (http://unfiction) is to have a separate thread for general updates, individual puzzle solve threads, and a summary thread. All this stuff might get cluttered in here with all the unofficial/fan-run stuff going on, and it might get more than a little confusing for new members looking for information on the latest update to the official game when there are 53405345 threads on bogus websites.
So I think making an "official" sub-forum would be good. Or you could always make all the stuff in here currently into a sub-forum and let the official stuff be the main attraction.

Just so everyone is aware, I have created a website that we are using as a Central Strategic Command Center for Team Vincent for The LOST Experience. The site is at: http://oceanicworldairlines.com/lostexperience/
It does not replace the LOST-TV forum - it complements it.
I have assigned Truffula & LAB as Team Leads to coordinate information between the site and the LOST-TV threads that relate to the ARG.
If you want to use the website as a summary and point people to it, I would be willing to do that, if it means reducing work for everyone.
The LOST-TV threads will be needed for the interactive communication and information sharing.
Feedback and suggestions to ensure we are efficient are always appreciated.

Ah, good. That wasnt as long as I thought it would be....its the "other" one that will take time to go thru....;)
I am curious as to where any of yal have seen other folks organizing teams for IT. I would look myself, but 1 - I suck at navigating forums (except this one ;)) and 2 - I have ALOT on my plate right now as far as organization and preparations are concerned, and I simply dont have the time.
Thanks to any who can help. :)
Peace,
Truff

Well since we are pointing out team leaders we have some other amazing folks volunteering!
A special thank you also to Rose, Algo, Trail who volunteered too!!
Boy Di I dont know if I'd be any help but would you like to do the email and other contacts? I'm just going to wait till it starts to see what I can help with, jokes mostly.

Well I will just put this out there as a general post since I am not sure where I fit best.
I do not want to be a leader, definitely a member and will offer as much help any way I can. We all know what I am good at. lol (Yes I can goggle anything and have.) I also have great phone skills and am willing to call long distance anywhere that they speak English. If you think I can help in a particular area let me know please.
I am very willing, happy to play, and have many resources available to me. :)
ETA. Sure Snakey just let me know what you need and if I can do it I will.....you have jokes? :D Give me some! lol

Dion-- here's how I chose what I wanted to do, maybe this will help you.
What on that list are strengths for you? Me: I'm great on Lost the show trivia -- so that is why I am co-team leader there. I also am good with issues of faith, so I volunteered to be a member of that team. I'm sure if you determine your strengths, then you will be in the perfect spot for the team!! :)
PM Vincent like he said to volunteer, go for it.

VM - You should sign me up for the Widmore team since I already seem to be hip deep in that.

Well Penelope, so far that is all I can come up with...getting info and I have great phone skills lol, will call overseas if necessary. I can offer other resources but I think I am in a more general category. Just give me a job and I'll let you know if I can do it and happily will! :)
OK, I PM'd VM and said I would be up for anything. Should I be more specific? I could be a team leader, although all you guys know I have limited access during the day. I know alot about Literature and Language and Lost. I can also read Latin. I would appreciate some help guys.

Foz I don't know if the code breaking group deals with languages, but I'm sure it is a skill that will be needed. And your interpretation of the bliss symbol was certainly code breaking. And to me it looks like the ALL_WEB is the place for pretty much everyone. Otherwise, pick something you're interested in (sorry, no place for hot-guy ogling yet, or I'd be all over that one) and go for it. VM said we will adjust to meet the requirements of the game, so it's all good.

I'm not sure exactly what skills I have, but I will jump in and help with whatever once I'm back from vacation. (I'm leaving tomorrow, back the following Sunday evening.) :D

I want to apologize to everyone in here for the feelings you've had today. It was never anyone's intention to make you feel unwanted or to make any judgment against your pursuits here in this forum. We alll know how much fun you have; how hard you work to gather information and make sense of it and we also know what an important part of this board you are.
Your enthusiasm and vibrancy draws others here and we want that to continue. This new game that seems about to happen has the potential to draw additional fans of the show and game-players in general. We know you'll welcome them and their ideas and be gracious in assimilating them into your group.
On our part, there's been a level of frustration with the announcement. We see a few potential problems between information gleened from the game and the information we gather from the show. We know there are supposed to be cross-overs between the venues, but we're unsure how it's going to affect the board in general and those people (like myself) who have consistently remained spoiler-free. Some of us are purists - we only want to deal with what happens on the show. Despite the interest in theories and ideas beyond the scope of what we see on the screen, some of us are afraid it will ruin our viewing experience. I know the argument could be that this game will enhance our viewing experience and it might. But unfortunately some of us don't have the time we might need to pursue the game on an active level. Hence our fear. We'll deal with that individually of course, but we also have to consider the ramifications of what this will do to the board and the other posters who are purists as well. The fun could evaporate for some of us if too little mystery remains. I was one of those children who never opened my presents before Christmas.
We're talking, we're planning and we will find a way to make everyone happy. In the meantime continue to have fun and look forward to this new development in the Lost world.
And once again, we are very sorry your feelings were hurt, your activities questioned and your community upset.

Thank you Jack's Girlfriend. We know there are differences in how people want to experience this show we all love to watch. I for one would never want to spoil any one else's viewing and I am all for spoiler tagging anything that is comes out of this forum. And I have no intention of bringing anything out myself, spoiler tagged or not.
Thanks for all you (the admins/mods) are doing to make this work. I think we can all get along just fine, so long as we remember to show each other respect.
I think the air has been cleared, so in that respect this has been a good thing.
And I am sooooo impressed! I think you are the first person I ever heard of that didn't try to peek at their presents. LOL.

Thanks Jacks Girlfriend, most of us have pretty thick skin, and I wouldn't want to spoiler the show for anyone.

VM - That page looks awesome!! :) You really are stellar!
That being said, I have no idea what I should volunteer for... won't likely be of much help unless there's a Psyc-related clue... my head may be in the clouds half the time, but I am thisclose to being a human Psyc textbook :D
