No offense, but wasnt this resolved by death? Plus if were going to cast stones, let's cast a bullet size one Shannon's way, I mean just to be fair.
In the end I dont care if they got it on or not. Obviously, though, they felt something beyond lust, manipulation, and codependency. The script bears this out. It's a shame that stronger forces (including death) finally stared at them with the cold truth of perceptual reality, before Shannon and/or Boone, on their own, could have said: Im tired of this; let's stop it now.

Well, then it makes the incestuous kissing and love-making more believable:makeout::tree:

LOL...but that just goes without saying, Hodge.

Absolutely! Shannon is not blameless at all. She manipulated him...(again) much as women have done since the very dawn of time. ;)

Why are we blaming Boone, again?
I thought Shannon came on to him... that's what the DVD tells me at any rate.
Yes, he gave in after that, and yes, he had some unhealthy attachment to her but, lest we forget, he didn't act on his feelings (lust) until after she came on to him. Plus, they weren't related by blood so it's not quite incest in any case (just really weird, though)

Yes, he gave in after that, and yes, he had some unhealthy attachment to her but...AZ, when you're using but to mean the attachment between the legs and the upper torso, it's spelled with two "t", butt. Just thought I'd help out. :Hugglepounce:

Well! I certainly didn't know Ian and Maggie were all hots for each other. EXCUSE ME for not being on the up and up. Perezhilton was all over it like it was like some new scoop or something. God, I was just trying to relay what I thought was really interesting info about former Lost cast members.
...unless you thought I was actually talking about the characters of Boone and Shannon. Dude, no sh*t that's a dead horse. Who the heck would bring that up like it's news? REALLY!!!! :headache:
Normally we wouldn't allow talk about the actors/actresses personal lives, but since they are both gone from LOST, it shouldn't be a problem.
(I'm just posting this for those who wonder why we don't allow Dom/Evie rumors and this is still around.)

I look at this thread as an opportunity to reflect on two warped and hopelessly intertwined characters, both of whom I rather liked, and one of whom I liked very much. No harm in arguing about whether the characters' act of intimacy was savory or tainted. I think that it was simply an inevitable conclusion of manipulation meets obsession, with Shannon handling manipulation and Boone handling obsession, but not entirely without merging or trading roles. Boone had opportunity just to siphen off a chuck of change and give her a bon voyage toujours present, but he never did that. She didnt have all the power---he had some of it. He may have been angry after he found out that Shannon had been playing him all this time, but he was an equal partner in the arrangement. What he wanted was to love her and to have her love him, but through sad circumstances he became the enemy or the son of the enemy. Shannon was competing with Boone's mother (Sabrina) for him, for the money, and a share of Mr. Rutherford's memory. Shannon was the better player and with more recognized motivation. But Boone was playing too. He was also playing---or I should say fooling---himself.

thunder only happens when it's rainning
players only love you when they're playing
i say women they will come and they will go a-wo-wo
when the rain wash-es you clean you'll know-wo
Yeah, ba, I totally agree wit you. I really have no qualms about their sick, sad love... I was totally for the Margeaux and Ritchie Tenembaum love affair to happen. Also a big fan of the whole John and Frannie love in The Hotel New Hampshire, too.
Now more than anything, I wish we had their sick, sad love to behold every (ha!) Wednesday instead of the slow simmer of hunka, hunka burning love between Sawyer and Jack. I mean, the payoff with those two will never happen (mope!), but there was gold in them thar incestuous hills, I reckon. They could've mined that thar nugget for at least another season.

The look of guilt alone makes Boone hotter than Jack and Sawyer combined! :makeout: :ashamed: :itmdrool:
