Hi I'm new here, (first post, eek!)

My name is Paul McLoone and I'm a radio host from Glasgow.

'Lost' is ace so I've decided on my show each Tuesday evening (just before Ch4/E4 screen a new episode) I'm planning on talking about Lost theories etc. Discussing something on your own can be pretty one sided so I'm looking for a fellow 'Lost' fan to chat with on-air, but not just any 'Lost' fan. We need a 'Lost' SuperFan!

Check out my website for more info. It doesn't matter if you (like me) have seen a good chunk of season 2 already or even if you don't live near Glasgow cos we can talk on the phone.

If you think you are the 'Lost' SuperFan and want Scotland to hear what you have to say about the show mail me.

Thanks

mod edit:
Hi Lost Jock, we get a lot of spam or 'crank callers' here on Lost-TV, often pretending to offer members the chance to take part in external fan-based media shows. You might like to expand on yourself & your show to gain more trust with the users on here - your initial weblink does not immediately refer to your radio show.

For example (having searched your link), you might like to show a link to your Radio Station:
http://www.q96.net/ (http://www.q96.net/),
or your billing on the show:
http://www.q96.net/presenters/mcloone/ (http://www.q96.net/presenters/mcloone/)

It sounds a bit silly, but we've even had people making posts claiming to be from a TV/radio show, adopting the name of someone from one of those companies.

My suggestion to anyone interested in following up with Lost Jock is to check with the Radio Station first that this is a legitimate offer before e-mailing too many details to Paul (Lost Jock).

Paul, please forgive the officialdom (however please accept our welcome! :Hippy:) but fan-based forums do attract a range of people - trolls and hoaxers included - so I am just asking our members to be do their homework first before getting too involved with a new poster.

mod edit update:
Lost Jock has kindly provided some more details, see next post.

Oops! Thanks for the head up "mod", but I'm sure you'll forgive me 'cos I'm the newbie :)

Yeah, ok I can see how this could be mistaken for SPAM, but it's not.

I'm genuinely a HUGE 'Lost' fan (tho, not as big as Hurley) and I definately won't be asking for anyone's bank details. I'm just a guy who wants to make good radio whilst spreading the word about a fantastic TV programme.

If you are interested but are a little apprehensive listen online at http://www.Q96.net between the hours of 7-8pm (GMT) tomorrow (Monday 23rd April) when I'll be talking about this.

Also feel free to call the station in Glasgow and ask to speak to me during working hours - 0141 429 9430. My name is Paul McLoone.

Perfect, Lost Jock.

Thanks for filling in the blanks. Good luck with getting some feedback.

There must be some members out there who want to take a shot at their 15 minutes?

Let's give this newbie ;) a GD-I welcome and take him up on his offer. His tel. number is shown above. Thanks again, Paul.

Hello Again,

Thanks to the peeps who have already shown some interest in becoming the 'Lost' Superfan. There is now an online form on the Q96 website at the following addy:

Let me just say that the quality discussion that takes place on this forum is what promted me to go for this on the show. 'Lost' fans are obviously quite smart. This is an excellent oppertunity to share your views on 'Lost' and grab those 15 minutes of fame into the bargain. :Headbang:

Did anyone actually get a spot on the airwaves with this?

I spoke to the guy on the phone, but nothing came of it. I don't know if they found what they were looking for, it's not a station I listen to.
