I have added a new feature to the My Nationality Is.... (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18114) sticky.
There is now a World Map (http://www.frappr.com/losttv) feature where you can add yourself & location to the Map. (Thanks to Scott is 815 for setting this up).
Instructions for use are here (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=541674&postcount=1).
The Map is linked after the summary list of users, here (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=541676&postcount=2).
If you have already replied in the Nationality sticky with your details, perhaps you would like to revist the sticky, go to the map, and add yourselves.
If you haven't added your details to the sticky (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18114) yet, and were planning to do so, perhaps you'd like to add yourselves to the World Map (http://www.frappr.com/losttv) too.

Giving this a daily bump to get it out there.
Those who have already replied to the My Nationality Is sticky, how's about doubling back and visiting the World Map and adding yourself to that too?
Others - what are you waiting for - reply in the Nationality sticky (top of forum) and then go to the World Map and add yourselves there too.
:thankyous

Nice bump of the world map, mav. I added myself. Is it a world map, though? I see only the US there. It'll be fun to see where folks are from.
The nationality thing I was looking at, but since I'm from the US, I didn't add myself. I figure you've got tons of US people... do you really want us in that thread?

What a cool idea. I've added myself....and if I can manage it, anyone can. I picked the nearest city to my home town.

We ex-pats are barely more tolerable than our less migratory brethren, I know, but we love to share the love, too. ;)

I think that must be the Paris effect rubbing off on you, camel. ;)
City of romance, and all that.
edit: daily bump to get the World Map to people's attention. So far its going very well - 25 users added and increasing daily.
Come on folks (especially the International lot - the US guys are showing us up on this one!), let's get the Map populated.

Mav - don't mind me if I use yer World Map as a way to help us webmazers in the upcoming "Experience".
Its gonna be GLOBAL, and we're gonna need all the help we can get. :)

No problem, truff. The Map is there for us all to use.
And I think you're right, if the experience is a big as predicted it might be, then it will require a serious co-ordination of activity. Hell, its almost what my 'Nationality Is' sticky and World Map feature were destined for..;)
I would just ask that if people want to post webmaze or spinoff stuff in this forum (GD-I), that they tag it with an appropriate ST/WM tag in the thread title, or box it up in a spolier button if in a post. Thanks.

Great map? Too bad Lyon isn't on it!
Are you sure you searched right? Considering my tiny little town is on, I'd expect Lyon to be there. It's just a form of Google Maps, so I'm sure it's there.
Yeah of course you're right Scott, sorry!

(Im back after my 2 month absence)
I spent like 10 minutes zooming in directly on my house (that was scary)...And I closed the screen, at least its not as bad as google earth which lets you see what car is in your drive
Hey nice to see you back COF, you used to be in chat often.
I've not tried the zooming features *goes to do so now*.

I didn't know you could zoom in either. I assume it zooms in on the city, not my house. (Because that really would freak me out.)

Ahh, panned across, lookin good!
I'm wondering if the older mods would allow you to move this temporarily into the GD forum to get more exposure for your thread, and have more US members add themselves... before moving it back to the International forum. Because I know a lot of people who live in the US would never go into the International forum and may not know about it, but still be interested in adding to the map. They did the same thing with the poll about whether or not we watch the preview/what a spoiler is (moved it into GD to get more comments, then moved it back). Just a thought.
Ella, that would spook me too, LOL (I know on satellite maps you can get that close, but I don't think they could anyway, because the only info you gave was your zip code and not address... unless Mav is using Remote Viewing to watch you right now!)
You can see your house if you have Google Earth, but you need a good version of it (and a massive hard drive).

Pandora I'm sure read something from Leuthen that he had stickied the map in another forum - but I can't remember where I've read it. I agree it would be good to spread it across the forum.

Ok thanks, that puts my mind at rest :eye-poppi .

Ahh, I found it... duh, it's just in GD. It's so true what they say about stickied threads being "invisible".
