Ethan will die

As we have seen in the previews for the new episode, Ethan returns. This is not a spoiler, although I am usually right about these things. Ethan comes back and manages, once again, to get the drop on Charlie. Now unless they are planning on killing Charlie again (please do not waste my time by arguing that he did not kill Charlie last time, because he did) which I don't think is going to happen, Charlie will somehow have to kill Ethan. Personally I do not think Charlie is man enough to pull this off without help. Ethan will either get caught up in one of those speeches evil people always seem to make instead of finishing of his victim, giving Charlie a chance to hit him with a rock, or find a vine that keeps him from being tossed over the cliff, while simultaneously causing Ethan to loose his balance and fall to his death, or he will fall on a sharp or a blunt object and impale or crush some vital organ.

The reason I expect Ethan to die? Why the simplest of reasons if you have watched the show at all, to keep us from getting any freakin information.

I dont think they will kill of Ethan. They may have become injured but im not sure. If Ethan is killed then what was the purpose of him. And if he were to be killed i think o yes Danielle will do it.

I really think Ethan and the others will be the main villains right to the end of this season. If he dies, it'll be in or near the season finale.

Writers have promised a major and minor character death before the end of the season. Ethan IMO is the minor character that will bite it.

Why would Danielle kill Ethan, she does not even know what is going on. You expect her to just show up at an opportune moment and plug him? Well that certainly would be unexpected, however that would re-introduce a character capable of answering questions, and I don't see them doing that. They would be substituting one person with answers for another.

But if Ethan DOES die, what if the season ends with Ethan telling us something really weird that just blows us away?

Makes sense to me. Of course, I would prefer it if he only got severely beaten, or maybe just impaled a non-vital organ.

Sure, Ethan might die... for this season, but if he does Ill bet he'el pull a "Gollum"; Apparently dying, (falling off a cliff, get carried away by a mysterious beast) only to return at a convenient juncture in the plot when his return is unexpected.

The writers said that a character with a "guest" status (that sounds like ethan to me) will be killed by a major character.

I definately think that charlie will kill ethan.

Unfortunately, I think you may be right.

There does seem to be a pattern of tit for tat. So maybe Charlie will kill Ethan but Ethan wont actually be dead.

Personally, I hope he is not killed, as I think it's a waste of one of the most interesting mysteries happening on the show. He seems to be a connection to a lot of other unexplained mysteries as well: Alex, the others, Claire's disappearance, etc. To kill him off would be frustrating to the viewers as we'd go no further in our understanding of what's going on.

Wouldn't it be interesting if:

- Ethan is killed by Charlie
- A dozen or so of the "Others" come to rescue his body
- Big fight, but the "Others" escape with Ethan's body
- The leader of the "Others" cries out "We'll be back. The baby is ours." and then shouts something about "We're under you listening and watching and waiting..." or some other crap that will make us wonder what's coming next.
- They are chased to the hatch, and somehow the "Others" open it and jump in and close it before Jack and the "Lost" folks can do anything about it.
- The hatch remains air tight and unopenable...

I doubt that they would reveal more of "the others" (considering Ethan is an "other") this soon in the show. We might see or hear little snippits like scuffling in the trees or wierd voices in the wind but nothing substantial, just "fluff"

Notslar and Baron X~ I think it's possible that Danieele could kill Ethan....i mean maybe after ethan "killed" Charlie (He can't REALLY kill charlie, i wouldn't let him :lol :p ;) ) He tries to kill everyone else so claire won't have anyone to help her. Okay so lets say ethan then goes after Sayid. Yes it's most likely Sayid can defend himslef, but maybe not. Then Danielle is close by, hears something going on (maybe thinks its Alex) and goes to see. She sees Sayid in trouble and BAM

But probably not :b :p

i don't think they will kill him off just yet..i think he has to stir up the pot just a little bit more.. ;)

but i think ethan will eventually die..and when he does, charlie will be the one to kill him..that will be interesting. :D :eek
