Ok, friday afternoon I got a request to be this person's friend on myspace. The address for her site is: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=72221450

I'm pretty sure it's not associated with the Official webmaze due to kick off here in a few days. If I had to guess, I'd say it's Adam (oeilsec) giving another try at playing dungeonmaster. This is what I wrote him/her:

There is an official Lost maze kicking up in a few days. If you are not official, do the right thing and let people know now. It doesn't have to be blatant... a footnote or anagram or hidden text, whatever.

His/her reply:

Her myspace has 3 or 4 anagrams on it "widmore" "please help me"... also, there are a couple of GIF's that have hidden images in them. (Open them up in a gif animator to see). The pics, IMO, look oeil'ish.

One red flag is that he/she is already trying to hold my hand thru some clues. Adam did that a lot. Here's a bait message he/she sent: "When an airplane crashes, the first thing they try to get information from is the..."

Another huge red flag to me is the lack of a proprietary site. One of Adam's trademarks was that he used free sites exclusively (the only non-free site was bss1.com of which he lied about being part of his game)

There are some who disagree w/ me about it being Adam. But either way, I will most likely ignore Cap'n when the official one starts. If anyone is interested, I can post the hidden pics here.

But you brought up some good points, Borky. And like you said, once the official maze starts, I think all of our attention is going to be focused on it.

I don't think this is an 'Adam' site. As some of us discussed in Bork a few days ago, there are blatant errors with her page:

1. She spelled Ana "Anna"
2. That is a picture of the actress who played Ana's mom on Lost, yet allegedly this lady on myspace is her Aunt.

I think this is another unofficial attempt at a maze, however, I do not think its Adam because of the above. I am still going to monitor the site, mainly because its intriguing lol.

As far as the "black box" thing went, using the fill command in the black box would have changes all the black to whatever color you chose to fill. The non-black pixels hidden in there would remain near-black though, so you'd see a message.
