Sure, Sun's dad is an arch criminal from way back, and she was seeing another man while Jin was on his bloody rampage working for her dad, and she drugged the water to keep Jin safe, but when you compare Sun to everybody else on the island, who you gonna trust?

Certainly no one is morally responsible for the actions of one's ancestors, but there is a question of genetics. How much of a person's whole being is inherited? There is a saying "The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree".

Ah...the innuendo of it all ....
IMO, Sun did not have an affair with Jae Lee. I think she overcame that temptation. Her secret meetings with him to learn English so she could run away and start on new life does however show Sun as capable of deception and subterfuge.

Sun's actions were without malice as suggested. Can we fault someone trying to protect a loved one? In this case, I don't think so. However, this event does show that Sun can be manipulated by someone else whose intentions may not be so innocent.

As far as apples and trees *wry smile* I've always thought that while genetics play a large part, it's also the fact that the apple does grow in the shadow of the tree--whether Sun was aware or not of the exact nature of her father's business practices, we have so far seen that she doesn't shy from doing what she deems necessary at any given time.

That's a pretty good choice, but then again, she was going to give her baby to Ethan. Seems like she's over that though.

Sun seems to be genuinely caring of the rest of the lostaways, and I don't see her baggage getting in the way of that like with everybody else. But then again, maybe that's a great cover.
