We have had some direct E-mail responses back from Hugh McIntyre, hugh.mcintyre@thehansofoundation.org (hugh.mcintyre@thehansofoundation.org).

He replied to, ILE, lostscape, (who also received phone calls but not sure if he is the same,"Hugh"), keepthefaith, Hodag, Sweet One, and A.'A.', Their E-mails and responses are found in the following post in this thread.

A copy of the e-mail I recieved from Hugh. I sent the same e-mail from 2 different addresses and got the same response BUT in one there was a typo, so there is someone actually typing this up and not a mass e-mailing going out. I sent the original e-mail at approximately 10:30 a.m.(EST) and he responded approximately an hour later. I sent him an e-mail on Monday but didn't talk about Bad Twin and he DID NOT RESPOND TO THAT ONE - So yes Dion and Pen - I think using Bad Twin or Gary Troup gets him going.

Bad Twin slanders the good name of the Hanso Foundation. Please
disregard any comments about our organization.

I have not read Bad Twin but now that you are saying things about it, it intrigues me. Do you think I should read it or can you give me more specific details on why you feel this way?

I am posting all of the emails that I have sent as of 5-7-06 to Hugh McIntyre, so that they can be easily referenced. It appears that we have been given Hugh's email for a reason, and I suspect if the right questions or facts are given to him, we will get an update. After several of us warned him that the site was hacked, for example, we received a press release.

1st Message sent 5-5-06
Mr. McIntyre,

I visited your website earlier this week and it appears to have been hacked by someone named Persephone. I wanted to make sure somebody in your company was aware of the problem. Some disturbing memos are also appearing on your site, totally viewable by the public, I suspect Persephone is behind this as well. As an avid supporter of Mr. Hanso's projects, I felt it incumbent to personally notify you of this problem.

2nd Message sent AFTER Hanso 5-5-06 press release:
Mr. McIntyre,

Thank you for the press release. I am glad your company is aware of the server glitch. I am very intrigued by the corporation. However, I was surprised to see that such a top notch corporation would not have a photo for one of its Board of Directors posted on the site - Liddy Walsh. It is also regretful that the public is unable to learn more about the Corporation's Board of Directors. The site demands a login and password. I find it odd that Board of Director biographies would be restricted access to the public. What is your corporation trying to hide?

I called your corporation to leave a message with Mr. Hanso. It seems he is missing. Perhaps this is why your site is undergoing tampering. I hope he is okay, although from the message I have heard, Mr. Hanso sounds as if he has been harmed. Dare I speculate - kidnapping?

I have heard from my friend Lostscape that you returned her phone call this evening. It is good to know that you are alright. I find it fascinating that you and Mr. Gary Troup collaborated on his Valenzetti Equation book. What a shame that it is unavailable to the general public.

Did you know that Mr. Troup has been declared dead? He was aboard Oceanic Flight 815. I am grateful his book, Bad Twin, was recently released. It mentions the Hanso Foundation in it. Did you assist him in writing this book as well? I will say, the two of you look quite similiar. One might think you two were related.

I am sure you receive hundreds of emails daily and cannot respond to all. I just wanted to let you know that some of us, after learning of your conversation with Lostscape, are quite concerned for your safety. Please be safe.

The site you got an email from: that site is not yet confirmed to be part of THE GAME. So I am not sure what your autoresponse would mean.

In light of the update, (and because I so enjoy emailing this guy LOL) I just sent Hugh the following message:

Dear Mr. McIntyre,

Oh dear. I see I have been misled. Apparently, whom I have thought was running your facility is not. Mr. Hanso is missing? Since 2002? Your site 'hacker' has revealed to us his apparent absence from the corporation, and the world.

What puzzles me is this: You spoke with my friend, Lostscape, last evening, Sunday the 7th, at 8:15EST. You indicated to her you hadn't seen Alvar in months. Not years. This inconsistency has me more than concerned. As you are aware, rumors are still rampant that your voicemail has been hacked, and that it was not you in fact on the phone with my friend. I wish you would clarify this matter.

If you look under "press releases" on the main page for this site, it states:

"Global Paradigms Corp. has filed for Chapter 11 Protection in the Bankruptcy Court of Santa Dominica County as of October 31, 1995. I still suspect the 'fake' Hugh is part of the Game though, a unique twist to really have us confused. LOL What I would like to know is --WHO is getting Hugh's emails?? The real Hugh, or the fake Hugh? And the fact is voicemail has been hacked makes me wonder whether Hugh is also MIA from the Corporation -- has all of Hanso gone MIA? I might be totally missing something here Dion, but I thought the speaker815 site was a clue gathering board....similar to ours. It definitely might be some sort of "official" clue board, where TPTB post answers that have been confirmed, but I dont think it is "in-game"..as in they wont give any new information. Like I said..i will go check it again...but that was my impression. Keep your feelers out however....this type of exploration will get us something soon, I'll bet.

I have been trying to send E-mails to all the sites that we know of that seem to be related. Some are changing. When I get a chance I will try to make a list of the E-mails that we know that are definite.

Last week, right after scape got the phone call (that is presumed to be a "hoax", but we don't know for sure yet, right?), I sent Hugh an email mentioning the phone call - in the call "Hugh" had told scape that he was involved with The Valenzetti Equation working with Troup... that's the only mention of Troup and his book(s) I said...

At 11:12 PM EST, I got this email from Hugh:

I haven't heard back from the tons I have sent out but there are reports on other boards that yesterday people received a "05_16_06.pdf" file attached to theirs.

They didn't specify who the letter was from except from thehansofoundation.org .

The people with this attachment said it appears to be Korean letters or something like that. I haven't seen anyone post what it is or the meaning.

TI that is great! Maybe you could set up a user name or explain how it works and E-mail him directly. The others who received responses could do it as well. That way we know it goes directly to him and he won't be afraid to chat.

I would also mention who he has contacted here, the forum, and Gary Troup/ Bad Twin. Sounds like he wants an interview.

I checked the header info that ILE sent me, and it shows the originating IP was 64.207.133.244
Looking up the IP, that's Media Temple, Inc. (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=64.207.133.244) in Culver City, CA. (Culver City is L.A. County)

If you WHOIS TheHansoFoundation.org (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=thehansofoundation.org) you can see that they are also hosted on Media Temple.

The skeptic in me says that anybody can sign up for the $7.95 plan on Media Temple's website (http://www.mediatemple.net/) and send from a similiar IP address.

The truth emerges when you plug 64.207.133.244 into your web browser as the address...

No. I think it's an official part of the experience.

I know a behind-the-scenes story (which I can't share... Truff knows though) that rings true with the email reply, hence I thought it likely to be legit before researching the IP.

Do not believe that any reply from Mr. McIntyre (email or phone... and yes I believe the phone calls to be legit) is something thought out well ahead of time by a committe of writers. But yes, the messages are part of the official experience.

Yes. You can fake information in the header, but not the email's origin, and the origin says it was TheHansoFoundation.org's IP.

Example: Let's say I use Earthlink, but I fake my header information to say thehansofoundation.org. I send the message. It goes through the Earthlink server (which stamps the email with an Earthlink IP) who then passes it off to whoever. I have no control of it after I click send, and that is when the originating information gets added.
It's like, I can put whatever return address I want on a stamped envelope, but whatever post office I send it through is going to put their ID and the date on it when they cancel the stamp.

With the buzz this morning I emailed him again, and received a response!

I wanted to write about something that I *expect* will hold future clues, so I titled the message "Jimmy Kimmel Tonight," since that seems to be the best option in the near future. I hoped that would elicite some sort of confirmation that there would be clues.

Here's what I wrote (at 10:07am this morning):
A lot of people interested in The Bad Twin and the Hanso Foundation will be watching Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.
I think that's just the sort of audience you need to sway. I suggest having a commecial during that show to get the word out.

And so quickly too. Or maybe my message stood out (if I was onto something about Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight).

I bet the guy (and it has to be one guy at a time, because only one person can login to the webmail at a time) is swamped with email. Even though he personalizes each one, they're terse.

It is my belief that the responses we're getting now aren't important in themselves, since it's one guy responding with messages in the spirit of his character. But there is a potential to be put on a mailing list, for something important in the future.

A copy of the e-mail I recieved from Hugh. I sent the same e-mail from 2 different addresses and got the same response BUT in one there was a typo, so there is someone actually typing this up and not a mass e-mailing going out. I sent the original e-mail at approximately 10:30 a.m.(EST) and he responded approximately an hour later. I sent him an e-mail on Monday but didn't talk about Bad Twin and he DID NOT RESPOND TO THAT ONE - So yes Dion and Pen - I think using Bad Twin or Gary Troup gets him going.

Just got into this. Great work everyone. For clarity, when someone gets a phone call, is it a recording, or an actual person? Also, so if the return emails aren't mass, but are a real person... Some intern at ABC who thought he had a slick job on LOST is hating his life. If I was that intern, I'd only reply to main players from the major fan sites, so as to save myself some time. Sounds like that may be happening.
I was in at a hotel in Chicago this weekend and the USA Today had LOST on the front page, an article about obsessed fans. I told my mom and my sis, "I hope they mention my site, lost-tv, and they did, and only 3 others. We rock.

If there is more to the letter and the anagrams mean anything directly related to the many unanswered E-mails I have sent the Hanso Organization it may be a hidden message from Alvar himself. I mention this because of this E-mail I sent.

I am curious, however, as to why the Director of Communications would dedicate the resources of The Hanso Foundation to attacking this novel when, in fact, I can only note a few instances where The Hanso Foundation or its founder, Alvar Hanso, are mentioned by name. I cannot see how these few instances warrant your action.

There are references to the current President of the company, Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk, in a bad light. However, aren't these more personal attacks better suited for action by Dr. Mittelwerk himself, and not The Hanso Foundation?

The book also casts The Widmore Corporation in a non-favorable light. However, I was not aware that The Hanso Foundation was protecting The Widmore Corporation. What is the relationship between the two companies, exactly? Has The Hanso Foundation gained ownership of The Widmore Corporation? If not, why have I not seen complaints against Bad Twin originating from the Director of Communications for The Widmore Corporation, only from you?

I agree. If organic.com is a developer behind the website, then this was an oversight that should be corrected. If it's an in-game character, they wouldn't use a web design firms address as their own, they'd use a set-up server, such as Hugh McIntyre's e-mail from thehansofoundation.org.

Manar, when I saw this email and posted originally in the Hanso thread (it's been moved to lycgy thread) the email was in several of the pages. it's gone from them now, though.

I checked a few 403 files and saw it, so after checking the organic site and whois, I assumed the site was build by Organic, and it was left there by mistake from the design team.

HOWEVER, i didn't notice the "lorchard" folder on the letyoucompassguideyou.com site...so, I'm going to try "lorchard@thehansofoundation.org and see what I get...

I was just listening to your last podcast, and WOW! Do you really think Hanso is Joop? Because there are some that have said yes. I mean, come on, even with life extension, how could they extend the life of that monkey more than 40 years past average??!!!

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that it looks like Hanso's group is buying or arranging for a ship to dock "somewhere" in the next 2-3 weeks. What are they carrying? Who knows about it? Don't know. I just sent DJDan this email:

Mulling things over at work this morning. OK, DJDan, you have this theory that Alvar is Joop. We have had a monologue in a couple of podcasts about Life Extension.

THis is where my brain needs something more to do at work. This is out there, and most likely ridiculous, but I write without fear...I want to get everything down.

What if the life extension wasn't about extending the life of the one physical body you are in right now? What if Hanso stumbled upon a way to transfer personality/consciousness from one body to another? What if that is what is going on at Vik? A little post experiment study with the failures? Or, we have a wing of people devoid of their original essence...or hosting the personalities that were in whatever body they now inhabit?

So...Hanso is going to try and give up the Foundation, or at least steer it to a different course. Mittlewerk "volunteers" Alvar for a transference to Joop...effectively shutting down any plans Alvar has, while keeping him around to gloat over.
