Dan: "Now, I'm gonna get serious. We like to have our fun, but when it comes to The Hanso Foundation consider this the brussel sprouts portion of the DJ Dan delicious meal folks."
Dan: "Now, if you know my show you know that if the Hanso Foundation is doing something it is not good. Sure they want you to believe they are saving humanity with their top secret science projects - but we're smarter than that. And thanks to the hacker Persephone, we now have proof. We all know what's really going on, don't we? Frozen or cooked, I don't want you thinking for one second that Alvar Hanso and his cronies are any less dangerous."
Dan: "Anyway, as you can see these cryogenics people really get me. This Hanso Foundation and their ilk pray on the week and the sick and I want you to shut it down."
Dan: "So my suggestion to you? Stay warm, conspiraspies. Drink a cup of cocoa, and for goodness sake - Don't Freeze Your Head!"

Dan Lapinsky (DJDan)is a former football player for a Seattle high school (at least that was the only results I was gettin in Google)
Tonya Jefferson (DJDan's cohort) is NOT a PhD from USC Annenburg. Much like Mittelwerk - she never graduated...and she calls herself a Doctor?....of what?.....who is this clown? ;)...See HERE (http://www.asc.upenn.edu/alumni/alumnisearch.asp?txtFilter=J&txtSort=) for proof.

I haven't listened to DJDan's podcast, but I dont know what Javi sounds like (unless hes on the S1 dvds somewhere...) to compare.

voices sound pretty similar to me...funny thing...the photos look pretty familiar as well.

Also something minor that stood out, but in the podcast, Dan says "...the thing looks like a frackin' Christmas Tree". Now, just the other day, I was reading Javi's blog where he rants about the Gillmore Girls using "frakkin" instead of the actual curse word. Coincedence?

BTW, I also posted this in the Intel thread, because we had briefly mentioned DJDan in there...since we've got the transcript, I thought it should go here too.

Alcor really is an actual cryonics facility. They are located in Phoenix, AZ and have Ted Williams head in a frozen state, among others. Cryonics is not a proven science, but has its believers.

The name is interesting -- on the basic level its Jane Austen author of Pride&Predjudice, etc. However, the last name AUSTEN is one of Kate's last names we hear on the show....

ETA: I am not familiar with Javi, but I will say this after listening to that podcast: The tone at the beginning was very light, humorous, sounded off the cuff. Then we get to the Hanso Foundation part at the end, which, mind you, is the longest topic in the podcast. It sounded scripted, not off the cuff. And some of the phrasings reminded me of the Press Releases and Peresphone's messages. My point is that you could tell the Hanso Foundation topic was the MAIN point of this podcast, which gives more credence to this being related, or a deliberate misdirection from the game. Excellent. That's a start. I know the first two are real sites, and the 4th as well. I'll check my cache at home. I should still have the DJDAN links page stored, since I haven't visited the site on that computer since they removed the links. Pan - I didn`t read the whole thing (55 pages), but when I did a search for organs it seems to involve a universal organ donor... and the organ "market" for the rich.

It says in the beginning it`s supposed to be set in the near future, and is about crimes concerning advanced technology.

That logo on the shark looks totally fake to me. A very poor photoshop job. It's not even the logo that was on the shark in the episode (it appeared to have a solid bar across the middle). This leads me to think the fake look is totally intentional, as many conspiracy nut photos are obvious shams...to make us question the validity of the answers found on the site? To show us that some of the info will indeed, be shams?

And as I'm saving the images, I noticed that the "Mythic Beatie Sighting" is a .gif, not a .jpg like all the other images.
Now, I may have just "seen" this, but, as I was goin through each link, when I got to the "mythic beastie sighting" link, when I first clicked on it, I swear I saw what looked like a little film reel in the upper left corner before the image showed.

So, first question - is it significant that this image is a .gif compared to the others? I assume that a .gif contains a moving image or something like that (which I don't see in the mapinguari pic, so I am suspicious).
Second question - can someone stego the mapinguari pic just in case?

I'm really having a whole lot of trouble with the whole moon thing, though. What benefit to a weapons system would it be to knock the moon out of the orbit? Please don't say it's in order for it to get so knocked out of orbit that it smashes into our planet, because that would just make no sense, everyone would die, not much of a "weapon" then. :)

One thing I was considering briefly was that the moon is responsible for the pattern of waves in the ocean, and we know that there are issues with waves around the Island, because it's been noted in the past in the show (I think by Sayid, but I'll have to check transcripts)... and also in the old ABC Diary, Janelle mentioned that Joanna was an experienced swimmer, and should have known how to swim parallel to the shore and avoid getting sucked in by the riptide... so these were no ordinary riptides that took her.

However, I'm still skeptical. If the moon were out of orbit, it wouldn't affect just the island's tides, it would be a worldwide phenomenon.... and then, for what?

Doesn't anyone else find it odd that DJ Dan would link to a podcast that so obviously knocks him? I realize that it is not a direct link but the old DJ must know the path that we would follow to get to the podcast on Youtube. The video's on youtube can't be edited by anyone so its not like he would like to a normal podcast and then someone went in and edited it. Which brings up the next question, why didn't he just have a normal podcast like the first one? Is DJ Dan trying to send a message or is there someone hacking the DJ Dan website also, possibly changing the link from a normal podcast done by DJ Dan to the one that we see?

The wife comment: I can't tell if Dan was more angry or scared over that. It was definitely more than the reaction to the caller knowing exactly where he was and what car he is driving, though. He even admits later that this isn't the first threatening phone call he's gotten...was this just the first one involving his wife?

I am so tempted to, after this is all over, put everything together in storybook format. "Dan's eyes recoiled in horror. He was used to the threatening phone calls, but the mention of his wife brought him to reality. This was dangerous."

2. No one has mentioned the caller about the shark. We got a physical location. Great Barrier Reef.

That hasn't been mentioned yet, manar. That could be important, considering the "Operation Desert Storm in the Army Radio Corps" yields a much larger clue as to DJ Dan's real name than does "Gulf War", which I've seen used now for ANY time-period in Iraq from 1990 to present. Combined with the threatening caller who clearly knows Dan's real identity, this may be him covering his tracks so that no one new tries to backtrack him.

Also, I realized the podcast must have been recorded before the Persephone update yesterday, as DJ Dan follows Persephone's hacks and praises her, yet sounded surprised and giddy at the caller's mention of the Dharma shark.

The thing about the youtube podcast from 6/1 is, however, that I'm not so sure DJ Dan realizes those images were there. If he did, this podcast would have contained comments about how he's NOT a sellout as the images claimed. If he didn't see those accusations, he definitely didn't see the shark there.

O.K. I may be reading too much into this, but the detail form the top pic looks like a Coat of Arms; DJDan offhandedly mentions a Coat of Arms to barcode-tatoo-guy. It also is a match, at least to me, for the horse image in the bottom pic.

I was wondering the same thing, but the shark on DJDan's site is different from yesterday's update. Maybe Persephone sent us Tricky Dick's Pix, and DJDan is excited at having backup. As any conspiracy theorist will tell you, having pix is not the end. Any skeptic will dismiss pix, especially one set from a nutter conspiricist like our Danny boy. But two separate pix of two different sharks at two different locations, is a whole different story.

The threatening caller in this weeks podcast reminded me of Fenry. Not so much in the sound of the person's voice but in the manner in which he spoke. Its that creepy Kevin Spacey in Se7en voice that sounds threatening/sadistic/insane but incredibly calm. Anyways, it reminded me of Fenry.

So the next podcast is not next Thursday (like the weekly podcasts we've gotten so far), but Monday 6/12.

If you notice though, the time between each successive podcast is getting shorter. It was a month between the first and second ones. Maybe we're getting closer to a big revelation.
