On 5.17.06, the Hanso Foundation site (ERI page) linked (http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/emi-compass1.jpg) to letyourcompassguideyou.com (or as we call it, "The Compass site")

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/compass1.jpg

When you put your cursor over 108 degrees (around 4:00), the following image appears with a place to click.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/map-coordinates1.jpg

(note that DI9FFTR751 appears above 144 degrees)

You are then connected to OPENERS HEP (an anagram for "Persephone") and were asked "Are you one of the good ones Y/N?".

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/areyougood2.jpg

If you reply N, you are taken back to the Hanso Foundation site. However, if you answer Y, you are granted access to letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/) giving this warning:

*** SECURITY NOTICE *** This system is for the use of authorized users only. Individuals using this computer system without authority, or in excess of their authority, are subject to having all of their activities on this system monitored and recorded by system personnel. In the course of monitoring individuals improperly using this system, or in the course of system maintenance, the activities of authorized users may also be monitored. Anyone using this system expressly consents to such monitoring and is advised that if such monitoring reveals possible evidence of criminal activity, system personnel may provide the evidence of such monitoring to law enforcement officials.

And the following directories are listed:
acarpus, ahanso, aoconnor, compass, dcheever, ddouglas, draupp, fgardner, hfeargha, hmcintyr, jgranger, jsimko, kporfiro, lorchard, lpeck, lwales, mwilliam, owelles, pthompso, sconroy, tmittelw, wmalik, zbach (and there is one for jvanderf (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/jvanderf/) also, but it's not shown)

The following directories are active currently:

ahanso - redirects back to the Hanso Foundation site

hmcintyr - mail folder contains the following directories:

139191991471518711419.jpg (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/hmcintyr/mail/139191991471518711419.jpg) - a "JEEP" ad (numbers to letters gives you MISSING ORGANS as the filename here)

CJ7_HATCH.mov (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pna5kuVZDXE) - a corny little JEEP commercial with this little flash from DHARMA at the end that when anagrammed says THE MOUTHPIECE (image courtesy of DJ Dan's 6/01 podcast), the password for Hugh McIntyre's Bio on the Hanso Foundation site.

So basically they're showing you how to decode the binary. It translates to THE MOUTHPIECE which is the password needed for Hugh McIntyre's Bio on the Hanso Foundation site.

UPDATE 6.2.06

On 6.1.06, DJ Dan pointed us to the Compass site for his 6/01 podcast; and there it was found that the /owelles directory became active with the following links:
- DJDan6-01.mp3 (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/owelles/DJDan6-01.mp3) - (formerly A YouTube video) DJ Dan's 6.1.06 podcast (see DJ Dan thread for more info)
- B/0/0/G/10/5/5/16/3/15/13/16/1/19/19 - which is code for 2007 Jeep Compass and links to Jeep's website (which I'm not linking cause I'm not a sellout ;)).

Also, the question you are asked by "Persephone" at the beginning has changed. You are now asked "Do you believe?"

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/doyoubelieve1.jpg

UPDATE 6.23

A few new things to note here. First we have an image of Persephone and the initials WTK appearing on the "108" mainpage now.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e41/truffula/Webmaze%20Pics/WTK.png

Then we have the 6/21 DJ Dan Podcast (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/owelles/DJDan6-21.mp3) in the /owelles directory

And a NEW directory - http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/trash/ that contains an IM conversation between OpenersHep (Persephone) and wtkFleet35 (William T. Kilpatrick of DaimlerJeep). In the event the document disappears, it has been preserved HERE (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=759634&postcount=366).

UPDATE 6.26

A few things have changed.

The /trash directory expanded slightly with a new folder titled "illumination", which is a link to Jeep's Compass site (and subsequently where Rachel Blake's Post 006 video can be found); and the number-to-letter MISSING ORGANS Jeep pic was moved from Hugh McIntyre's directory to here (and this was used to figure out the password for the admin section below).

Now you can click on the new image of Persephone (see above) to get a login/password box. The login is wtk and the password is themouthpiece. That takes you to http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/admin/ where the only option is "My Docs" which contains THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNHUDVTJ1DM&search=WTK) YouTube video (that was found over a week ago).

UPDATE 7.19

http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/admin/my_docs has a new folder titled zero_n_such (http://www.jeep.com/zero_n_such) that links to the Jeep website.
This is part of the string of clues needed to be followed to lead to Rachel Blake's first Paris video. See the RachelBlake.com thread for more details on how to watch the video.

if you tab through the links, the 0,0 point on the graph is a link

it takes you to another link, click it and go here:

http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/

tab through the links there and you will see another pic, one sec and I will cap it

put your cursor at 108 degrees on the compass.

If you look at the Bad Twin add in Hugh's mail it looks like you can read the print on the other side. One part reads "If you are one, know one."

ETA - Sorry seems to be a Mothers Day Add

Prob something like If you are one, Know one , have one. Towards the bottom I can make out Happy Mothers Day

Ok, this is really weird. If you look really close at the old Jeep ad in Hugh's mailbox, there's a Hindu looking god statue and just next to the statue in really tiny print, it says "The Mouth Piece" What the heck does that mean?

A couple things to ponder about the files in Hugh's email

- the video is entitled "CJ7 Hatch"
- the old-time Jeep ad is entitled "139191991471518711419.jpg"
- he has a jpeg of Peter Thompson's signature
- it's all dated 10 May

Probably nothing, but I gotta start somewhere....

You might have to clear your cache. But here goes.
On the Electromagnetic Reasearch(Hanso site) page is a picture of the Northern Lights. If you got the newest version of the page map coordinates will be in the upper left hand corner of that pic. as you move your cursor around those coords change. somewhere near the center of the graph next to the image is a clickable point . Once clicked a compass appears. clicking the compass will take you to the letyourcompassguideyou.com point the compass dot to ESE and click and a pop up will ask you if you are a good one . Type "y".

In Peter Thompson's inbox, there are six files name "rfp" followed by a series of numbers. RFP stands for request for proposal, and apparently preceded the awarding of the contract (and subsequent cancellation) to/by Jeep. I don't know if anyone is screencapping these (TI maybe??) but I can if we need someone to...

The only things of interest I've found so far are within McIntyre & Thompson's folder. Was the cracking of the binary code (MOUTH PIECE) what gave us McIntyre's bio password? Still a little unclear how we got to that.

If you go to http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/hmcintyr/mail/139191991471518711419.jpg

and zoom in real close to the old Jeep ad, you'll see a Hindu god statue with the words "The Mouth Piece" right next to it. That's how I found the password. My problem was that I kept trying the password with caps and Blackforge showed us that we had to type it in without the caps.

Godspeed,
Becca

'The Mouth Piece' is also listed on the printed Jeep advert. Also, that's a good commercial for the JEEP. It's brand-spankin'-new, otherwise there wouldn't be a DaimlerChrysler logo. Back in the 80's/70's it would have just been Chrysler, or maybe even just Jeep.

I worked at Chrysler last summer, I had no idea they were in league with Hanso...

For folks joining us late, I made this walkthrough (special thanks to some folks for taking the original screencaps of some; the rest are by me):

May 17
letyourcompassguideyou.com & Hugh McIntyre Update
Go to the ERI part of Active Projects; as of 4PM EST, they just changed this section. It is now an image map where you can click on coordinates. Under the picture of the magnetosphere, the date changed from 2001 to October 62, 9291.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/ERI.jpg
Place your cursor at coordinates 629,291 (from the date) and click (it is very close to where the axes meet on the graph). It will take you to this site:
http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/
This is a site with a compass (the lady on the front page is reflected in the glass; see below). This is one of the harder tricks, but you've got to line the point of the compass (the one with the dot on it) to exactly ESE (about 4 o'clock position). You will get the following map:
http://i4.tinypic.com/zxsaq9.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/map.jpg
Note, that in the right corner when the map comes up, the letters:
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f316/algovar/DIFTR.jpg
(DI9FFTR731, same as on the food DHARMA is dropping on the show)
...and also, you can play around with it and get a pop up message asking if you are good person:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/compass.jpg
In this directory (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr) are a bunch of interesting goodies, especially in McIntyre & Thompson's mail folders.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/fleetcontract1.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/fleetcontract2.jpg
In the next letters, Chrysler seems to want to rescind this contract. I'm not going to link all the letters and goodies in their mailboxes, but just some key points. To see the full larger elements, see links:
McIntyre's Mailbox (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/hmcintyr/mail/)
Thompson's Mailbox (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/pthompso/mail/)
In one of the Jeep ads in McIntyre's mail folder, you'll find on closeup examination, that it says "the mouth piece" next to the Buddha (see below, left). This is redundant in other areas; binary code within the site also reveals the hidden words "the mouth piece"; also, there is a link to a Jeep ad on YouTube which has the following image at the end (see below, right). It spells out ECHO ME UTEF HIT, an anagram for "the mouth piece" once more.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/139191991471518711419.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/jeep.jpg
Now enter this into McIntire's bio, which has changed (has a login now). It seems like he is not such a good family man after all....
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/Hugh.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/familyvalues.jpg
Click on the pink slips that are falling with pills and credit cards, and you'll see restaurant bills:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/droppingstuff.jpg http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/Bill2.jpg

Sorry to jump the gun on it truff...wasn't gonna rob your thunder if you were about to post... I was posting it for Sledge's site, where I'm mod, and we have our own walkthrough... so I just figured I'd share the same thing here since it's no extra work, and I could just cut and paste it over. You are welcome to borrow from it also, or add to it. Thanks for all your hard work here!

PS: I never could figure out to get to the compass "Are you a good person?" login. What happens after that point, for those who were able to do it?

Not sure if this was mentioned yet but DaimlerChrysler is coming out with a 2007 Jeep Compass and the tagline is "Let your compass guide you".
Kinda obvious but I just wanted to make note of it.
Thanks, now back to lurking.

Next to the hindu guy in the picture of the jeep if you zoom in real close it says "the mouth piece" next to the idols mouth!!

"The Hindu Guy" is Buddha. Specifically, this image comes from the story of his temptation by Mara (kind of the Buddhist Satan). He is seen here touching the ground to afirm the earth as witness to his virtue.

google brings me to the GHA which stands for the "Global Hotel Alliance"

GHA Debuts As United Marketing Front
3/15/2004
By Glenn HaussmanGLOBAL REPORT --With the constant crush of competition bearing down on smaller, regional companies it’s not unusual for those brands to have to fight for top of mind awareness. This problem is further complicated on the global stage as one brand that might be strong in a single country is virtually unheard of in another.
In a unique plan that will cross market and fertilize their respective businesses, a group of smaller far flung lodging chains are teaming up together and working as a single entity. Dubbed the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the group will ease consumers’ fear of trying unfamiliar brands -- especially in foreign countries-- while also giving the hotel brands access to new customers.

again, maybe nothing, but doesn't mr. paik own a chain of hotels?

These logins follow the semi-standard 8 character limitation login. The format seems to be first character of first name and then as much of the first part of the last name that will fit in the remaining 7 spots.

Loooord.

It took me a long time, too...I'm not sure if you have to go around a few times before it works, or if it matters if you go clockwise or counter-clockwise, or....? Even after I did it once, I had a hard time doing it again. I've done it now on a Mac laptop and a PC laptop. It wasn't easy on either one.

Go to the East, and head to the South. The first notch where it stops itself is close. Just let your cursor hover a bit. It'll happen - and it'll be obvious when you see it.

Hope that helps, and isn't just more of the same info for you. :)

On the jeep ad (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/hmcintyr/mail/139191991471518711419.jpg) there's Around the Clock, the clock is set to 8:56. Around the year, with a man spraying/hosing between Virgo and Leo...August? 8th month? Then Around the World, there's a dot on the map,(just to the left of the Buddah) it's Greenland. Have no idea if it's anything or not...just stood out to me for some reason.

Also, on the main page, when you get the compass point just right and the "map" shows up...there's degrees, (like 180, 360, etc...) and a series of - and + numbers. When entered into Google Earth they're all off the west coast of Africa, near the island of Sao Tome.

Here it is for the lazy or the idgaf's...

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6264/hansoadmap0qz.jpg

Btw, what the hell is "Permissum Vestri Complector Rector Vos" ??

Checked it out, and it doesn't appear to be Latin, according to the translation site I used.

It's:

http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/ (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/)

I messed with it for a while, just random clicking, and a map popped up that was super imposed over the screen just long enough for me to not really understand it, then it disappeared.

Anyone else get any luck?

Yep, got into a filesystem for a unix usr area... Only two opened, and there is a commercial (jeep is paying for this leg of the maze) bunch of documents, but nothing that really made sense to me.

Those things got my attention, also. I tried to find out if that add was created for the game, or was an actual ad. I really want to find a comparison, and see if changes were made. Probably a red haring, but my mind seems to like fish...

Has anyone noticed that the Peter Thompson signature from the letters Persephone showed us (also the same sig that is in the hmcintyr mail folder in www.letyourcompassguideyou.com (http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/)) and the signature of Peter Thompson from the jeep contracts in his mail folder are nothing alike???

jgranger = our original diary writer (from ABC.com)

that would be Janelle Granger, if it is indeed the diary writer from last season.

I'm guessing that hfearsgha means Hanso fears GHA

That's a good guess. Quite interesting...most of the others, with the exception of compass, look more like names, though..we'll see. I like the "hanso fears GHA" too much for that not to be it!

What I'd like to know is what all this stuff in the directories means...all the script stuff/codes....someone from the RE thread might be able to assist here....;)
I posted the .login over in codes, and Blackforge was kind enough to answer for me yesterday. It would be a good idea, i think, for someone familiar with Unix servers (that is unix based, isn't it?) to go through all the .xxxxx files and see if the rest of the files are basic server stuff, or if there are hints/clues within them.

I did notice the .login file is identical for Thompson and for McIntyre, so that may be a clue that it is just system files and not clues.

As for the FTP...sure they've got one set up, it's how they transfer the updates. Hanso has one as well. I'm pretty sure it's not part of the ARG.

According to the Latin dictionary I have in the office, and supported by my boss who studied latin in his youth at Oxford; "permissum Vestri Complector Rector Vos" the words on the compass site.. "losely" means "I the ruler master you by your consent"

I got a screen cap of the map that flashes up over the compass. There is a code of some sort in the lower right area of the compass. It reads "DI4FFTR751". Any idea's if that's significant?

Excellent catch, TI... I almost glossed over that one myself! I was wondering why they included that little signature block in the folder... it looked boring.

Mulene: I'm not a speaker of Latin, but a few other people who were already said it meant "Let your compass guide you".... maybe you are translating more literally?

Well again ... there is the search button , hehe

As stated before , the file bash_profile is just that , a created profile for login , it does not do much here but call the bashrc :

if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi

bashrc is a file used to determine the behavior of interactive shells , create alias shortcuts ... nothing helpfull for you ;)

again there is this other file where you get :

ls -al
vim .screenrc
screen -R work
pine -i
scp biz:docs/dcx_rfp.doc .
scp biz:docs/dcx_contract.doc .
trm dcx*
rm dcx_*.doc

this is the only slightely interesting file as it says someone removed 2 files from server ( the bolded ones !)

BUT ... please don't forget , what you're seeing in lycpgy is just a messed up backup , I bet it won't ever get updated , all links there REFERE to the THF website and mailsystem http://webmail.thehansofoundation.org (http://webmail.thehansofoundation.org/) AND most importantly all these files CAN NOT BE BROWSED ... THEY CAN BE SEEN ONLY IF SOMEONE HACKS IN THE THF ... and that's not for today ...

So IMHO , looking in the images is interesting and at least if it doesn't give clues it may help with the story ( p thompson mystification ! ) but as for the code you won't get anything from there ... we sent an email ... thf has been updated and PERIOD . :D

anyway I have that backuped and well if opportunity arrises it will be used .

OK, I have 3 questions this morning:

1) Did anyone ever figure out the problem with the password? Because on another site, folks are asking about the same thing, not being able to log in with the password "the mouth piece". I had problems last night, but now I type it in just that way and it's fine again. I told them to clear their cookies & cache, and start over, and see if that works.

2) Can someone explain to me how to get to the "Are you a good person: Y/N?" login on the compass? And tell me what happens afterwards? I have been trying forever to get that, no dice.

3) Was there a Jeep commercial last night? I forgot to look through the Tivo'd commercials. I know they are coming out with a 2007 Jeep Compass.

I'll take on #2, Pan. (Not sure about #1...)

You need to move your mouse slowly over the compass area and stop around ESE to get the map. (That part you probably know.) When you can see the map, work on "freezing" it in place. This can be done by keeping your cursor roughly over the 108. Then click.

The login screen should come up after that. Let me know if you're still having problems.

ETA: Pan, not Pen. Naming confusion this morning.. haven't had my coffee yet. ;)

Thanks for the caps Pan! I'm interested in this one...brings up a couple of questions:

1. I assume the pcmsguar.sh listed there is some sort of shell command, is that correct?

2. "****Connected to OPENERS HEP". A Server? Or a remote user? OPENERS HEP is an anagram of Persephone, which I saw Dionysys had posted elsewhere.

3. Perhaps the biggest question..."Are you one of the good ones?" Answer no, and you're redirected to the Hanso site... Answer Yes, and you're taken to the information. Which means Persephone is looking for the good ones...is Persephone an Other?

you are directed to THF with this in the address bar:

Just a short update. I spoke to a few people at Jeep. I did get an "official" response. They are definitely part of the game but I do not have time to type the exact reply. It was short and basically they would not give me ANY more information. I spoke to 3 people there. I would check out Jeep's web site and the numbers to some of the models. Not sure if any more "real" info will be found. No one would confirm if Kirkpatrick( sp?) was an employee and no comment on Thompson. I suspect he is not. One person was quite informative on specs of the Jeep in the internet video. That jeep is not one that is asked for in the letter and was made in the late 70's. I will post when I get the chance. I have a whole file dedicated to me and LOST. lol

When entered into Google Earth they're all off the west coast of Africa, near the island of Sao Tome.

if the hose is on leo and virgo could be on the cusp, meaning born between the two, means has leo and virgo, hense sraying leo and virgo.

those dates would be 08/18-08/27

of course i could be full of poop

OK, just got caught up with reading my 10 pgs in this thread. :)

Dion: That's cool that you have connections to Jeep! Yeah, I was sort of thinking they were "in game" too, though the tie-in is pretty tenuous to me, and that just seems so "in your face" as far as marketing. But they do have us as a captive audience, this is a brilliant campaign, even if it doesn't make much sense expanded-LOST-world-wise. All those Jeep ads and correspondences in Hugh's folder were just confusing (as far as how Hanso would tie in with selling cars, that is, when they are a scientific research firm).

manar: Interesting that they moved 2 files in the directories last night. Any new changes today? And besides OPENERS HEP as a PERSEPHONE anagram, is there any significance to the "Are you a good person" login box.... as in the other stuff at the top of that? (like, pcmsguar.sh, does that have any meaning for the computer guys?)

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f278/ceciliaxchen/compass.jpg

And does anyone have any clue why they included the Hanso "Don't believe Bad Twin" newspaper clipping? Was it just for redundency's sake, since maybe not everyone has seen the real life newspaper reference (like finding "the mouthpiece" as a clue in 3 different places -- binary code, Jeep print ad, and anagram at the end of the Jeep YouTube commercial)? Or is there more to it? Because at first I didn't understand why they included the GWC signature block either, until TI came up with the great connection that it's to show that Hugh is being impersonated by someone else.

Because at first I didn't understand why they included the GWC signature block either, until TI came up with the great connection that it's to show that Hugh is being impersonated by someone else.Ever since we saw the scan of the newspaper clipping, I've been wondering the same thing. I thought that it was simply more promotion for the hanso website and Bad Twin, but the fact that it appears on the Hanso site and on the compass site gives methis nagging suspicion that there's some form of hidden message in the newspaper release.

It could just be to create even more hype around the Bad Twin book, which would certainly make sense ($$$).

Yeah, it would make sense *grumble*

I should mention that if you look at it in the mirror, you can see the words YOU ARE ONE, KNOW ONE and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, but I don't think it's a clue personally... since newspapers frequently show the stuff on the other side. I think someone did mention the mother's day thing, and we dismissed it... not sure.

The other thing I think was mentioned by someone early on but that I don't think was really explored (if it was, I missed it) is the fact that the Jeep print ad is named 139191991471518711419.jpg. I wonder if there is any significance to this, in a show that is so heavily numbers based.

LOL...great minds, Pan, Great minds...(click me (http://www.losttv-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=625580&postcount=232))

Bad Twin could have been redundancy...as you said, the sig showed someone impersonating him...a bad twin so to speak. I tried checking it for stegonagrphy, but came up empty...someone with more experience may want to try it, to be sure, though.

I'm intrigued by the "are you one of the good ones"...as I asked earlier, if Persephone is letting the "good ones" into the hacks and the Others are grabbing the good ones...does that insinuate that Persphone is an Other? not literally, but on the same side as the Others?

Yeah, it would make sense *grumble*

Hi Bucky - There is a whole tread on Bad Twin and Gary Troupe. Check it out. I haven't read the book but a bunch of people have. :)

when the hanso site first came back online, there was a coded message from the world map page. It had the same numbers and was solved using simple letter for number substitution. 1=A 2=B and so on... It translated to MISSING ORGANS.

If you remember back to one of the episodes in the last month or two (can't remember which one to save my life) one of the "others" told one of the castaways that they thought he was "one of the good ones" but guessed that they were wrong. My memory of this scene is a little fuzzy so if anyone else remembers it better let me know but I think that this is the reference on the compass website.

I believe you're referring to Fake Henry Gale telling Ana Lucia about Goodwin. Goodwin thought Ana could be changed into a "good one", but he was wrong, and it cost him his life.
I think this was in "Two for the Road"

Here is the post concerning my conversations with Jeep. It may be lengthy but I had so much to explain.:D

I scoured the Jeep web site extensively and found some of the pages about the new Jeep Compass interesting. They use key words to describe things, like diamond etc.(Huge McIntyre pics came to mind.)

I signed up to get the "Compass" updates. In doing so you get a "reward" from Jeep. I have already listed the sites they let you choose from.

I decided to E-mail, which is just a "search" tool to ask about Peter Thompson and Hanso. Just in case there may be "something" there for fun, but got not response.( As usual lol). The other choices were by computer with microphone or have them call you back. I did the second.

OK........ lol I get a call from person # 1.They take my information and I soon will be getting real mail and sends me to person # 2. That person takes even more of my information and makes a "new" file with my name and LOST. Sends a formal request to the appropriate people and will get back to me. In the mean time I get person # 3 in advertising.

All conversations were recorded on their part. The very polite and professional people I spoke to are information people that can help if you have a problem etc. I have to explain my situation in each case. ( Please.... just imagine trying to explain this! :) )

It was a delight to these people I spoke with for the "unusual" call. All knew the show LOST but none of the ARG. I explain as best as possible but tried to direct them to our web site. They can only go to ABC.com. Interesting huh? None knew of the media exposure Jeep had just received. Normally some memo gets sent out.

I spoke of the commercial on TV and the web.

Meanwhile I am trying to provide the links of the letters from DaimlerChrysler's William T. Kilpatrick IPS/ GI to Peter Thompson.

Complicated long story where I am put on hold many times. lol (I think to have the rest of the people in on IT in the office and to stop laughing. Not sure. Could have had a police check done.)

Again person on phone extremely professional.

I was out but got a voice mail back from person, # 2 Karl. Serious like he was reading part of something.

Hi, (Miss____), this is Karl from Daimler Chrysler. We had a rather extensive conversation earlier about.... ummm...... the interaction between Lost and Jeep. ummm . I have had.....(clears throat), this file sent to the Daimler Chrysler representatives who are here and they did confirm that Jeep is involved in this but they stated that they would not be able to provide any more information as per the terms of the agreement that they had signed from ABC. Sorry I could not provide you with any more information on this. But good luck with this and I hope you succeed. Thank you and good bye.

I got a bit more info from person # 3. (Sorry I did not hear or get the names clearly.) I spoke of the web commercial, titled CJ7 Hatch. She was from Canada near MI, and looked up the model. She said the information she had was a Jeep that was sold or manufactured from 1975 -1980. (Contradicts wikipedia some but that is nothing new.) I said the time frame was interesting and 1979 was about right for some things. She said yes that would be the year.

We discussed the new Compass and its features. Again the details are coincidental to some of our topics.
Here is the guy that posted from you tube, http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=thejeepchannel (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=thejeepchannel)

Here is some history to the CJ7 HATCH if not already posted.

CJ7 HATCH (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pna5kuVZDXE)
The CJ-7 featured a longer 93.4 in wheelbase than the CJ-5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ7#CJ-5). It was introduced in 1976 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976) and 379,299 were built in 11 years of production. The CJ-7 featured a new automatic all-wheel drive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-wheel_drive) system called Quadra-Trac, not necessarily known for its strength, as well as a part-time two speed transfer case; an automatic transmission (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_transmission) was also an option. Other comfort features were an optional molded hardtop, and steel doors.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ7)

I apologize in advance if some of this has been brought up or irrelevant. Just got to back and haven't had much time to read all that is posted. I hope this provides some help. I noticed that there are a many numbers in some of the articles. I am not on the Code or the Reverse Teams, but if there is something I wanted to make sure you were aware.

ETA.BTW this may not mean much but when Karl (again sorry if I got the name wrong, very nice young man BTW), was from "JEEP". Had to contact Daimler Chrysler. In his voice mail he said he was from Daimler Chrysler, not "JEEP". Only mention for it was part of the conversation. I was connected to Jeep people.

Thanks Truff, should this be posted elsewhere? I will post just the formal reply in the E-mail thread just because it is part of correspondence.

The all reverse and code threads like to link on some of this but I hate to repost it again.

Gee, I really wish you could have heard the people. I was put on hold so many times.lol I will say there will be a few more people coming aboard!:D

I don't know if they will have anything further to do with the maze, Daimler Chrysler, but thought it "odd" they did not say right out.

I guess this would actually make it a second appearance of the clue MISSING ORGANS... as the jpg name (139191991471518711419.jpg) of the Jeep ad with the Buddha and circle of trucks on it, in Hugh's directory. More redundency... really beating us over the head with clues, but good things we have such a great crack team here that we don't need it.

Thanks rvt!
