I think, unbeknownst to Walt, that every time he types to Michael, he's being watched. How else would Zeke and friend have know where and when to capture Michael? That is if you beleive that Walt was the one actually typing to Mike.
And, it's a big jungle. How did Zeke know exactly where Michael would be running through the jungle? Now that the remote viewing theory has been proven, I think it's safe to say that there are cameras and or ground sensors throughout the island that Zeke and his people can use to track whomever they want. It is NOT a coincidence that Mike would run into Zeke in an unknown jungle. Plus, it was a setup. Point a gun at the guy taking a leak, and bang!! Zeke's right behind you. Walked right into that one.

There's no guarantee that it was Walt typing away to Michael. I'm not sure how Walt would know which way north was and if he was brought in by boat (ie. not by land), how would he know about the big rock with a hole in it?

I really do not think it was Walt typing to Michael. From the control they had over Walt, there's no way he'd be free enough to correspond.

Besides, the typist on the other end typed very quickly. Walt is only ten years old. Most boys that age can't whip out sentences that fast.
