:Hippy:Hello! I'm Joyce from the Philippines sending a request to be added in the International Countries List. I've been a lost fan ever since it aired. Right now I am one of the organizers for the Philippine Lost Fangroup. We are in the middle of setting up an organization.. *signs*
I usually post in the fuselage. I'm currently forum hopping letting the world know how great and unique this show is in the perspective of the Filipino viewer. Me and alot more are so hooked in this show.I just hope that our org. becomes official.I am still working on the membership though.. Wish me luck guys! :ImLost:
I love all the characters (specially Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid and Charlie) and the complexities of this show. I admire the writers, they are so brilliant. I hope this season ends with a bang and I am not referring to this season only but until the very last one that.. could be season 5 or 6..who knows?

glad to know there ARE Lost fans in the philippines. been pretty lonely, since all my classmates have no idea what Lost is about. i've been trying for ages to convert them to Lost fans (and Sawyer fans, haha), but *shrugs*...oh well.

Well, during the con. We are just going to recruit or promote the club, we will be handling out flyers and sign-up sheets to people and if they are interested to join the group..
We're not yet officially established unless we have 10 members. So if you are available within the coming week we will be setting up a mtg to organize and plan for the con so that we can brainstorm for what our "g-mik" for the con..
me, I was behind too. I watched it on axn. That was when it was first aired. from the first epi I was so hooked.. and got really really addicted. My dad would tease me about having a huge crush with sawyer. BTw, have you seen the copy of MEN'S HEALTH May Issue. He's on the cover and also for Entertainment Weekly-Lost in on the cover. For tv guide I think He and EVie "kate" were on the cover.

we should totally meet, haha! i have a major crush on sawyer, although sabi ng sister ko it's because we're both jerks. palibhasa she's into boone and jack. and my dad teases me, too.
i do hope a lot of people will join us. i know there are loads of pinoy lost fans out there...i'm not sure yet if i can attend the meeting. i'm already 17, and startin' college soon, but my folks get pretty overprotective most of the time, especially since i'll be out of the house. hehe. they got my older cousins (who goes to the same school i go to) to be my "bodyguards". my parent's so do not trust me--yet. haha. pero i'll see what i can do. i really wanna help.
it's weird kasi pareho tayo--i first saw LOST on AXN! i missed the Pilot episode (but got to watch it--finally!), pero i was hooked after watching 01x03 Tabula Rasa.
sadly, i have yet to get my hands on a copy of Men's Health, EW, and TV Guide. i've seen scans of it on the net, so ayos lang.
and i've gone to the fuselage, too. just lurking, i've yet to sign up. i go to Lost-Forum.Com (http://lost-forum.com) most of the time. i dunno any other pinoy on L-F.Com, pero it's a nice hangout for me.
anyway, i think sobrand dami ko na nasabi. heehee. it happens when i'm too lonely--very few people to talk to here...so thanks, and see ya! :D

We just need people to promote na we are looking for members and those who are willing to join might want to comfirm that they will be joining the con and also join the meeting that we will be setting up in the coming weeks to plan for the event itself. PR kung tawagin..So far, we've been trying to get in touch with the Pinoys who want to join so that we can establish our group before the convention itself. We really, really need members.. Anyway, may news na pupunta daw sina evangeline lily and dom monaghan (?) This is still unconfirmed.
So sana naman makaform na tayo ng group before we miss the whole event..The con naman is sat and sun. Most likely you won't have any classes..I hope.. It would be nice to experience meeting up with other lost fans..Medjo geeky kung iisipin pero..so what?? I soooo love this show to even care about what other people think..
I mean my friends think I'm a freak.. but hell cares..It's good to hear too that you're family also watches the show.. My dad used to watch it with me..My cousins in the states are watching it too. Una nga lang sila..
Regarding the mag, I have the EWeekly copy.. Pinagipunan ko talaga un..Medjo nakakahinayang yung Men's health kasi hindi naman ako mahilig sa mga ganung claseng magasine..hehe..There's only one copy left..Sadly hindi ko binili. YUn na lang e weekly mas sulit..I also have LOST Chronicles yung companion book. hehehe..fanatic!!
So what do you think?? There's no membership fee or whatever.. We're missing out on the manpower and we also need ideas..You know, two heads are better than one.. hehehe..

to answer HurleytheHutt's question, the episode aired this week was Maternity Leave (02x15, i think--i'm too tamad to check...hehe) on AXN. we're so behind, but it keeps me entertained while waiting for season 3. i've finished reading transcripts here eh, and i've seen the other episodes (ah, downloads!), too. it's also shown on Studio23, although that's TOO far behind--it just started this week! never really watched there...
i won't really call Lost "popular" around here (at least where i'm from--Laguna). my classmates don't have any idea what it's about. bummer. some do watch--my sister has succeeded in "converting" her friends into Lost fans. my friends are hopeless cases, hehe. the answer i always, always get is this: "Fides, i tried watching Lost, pero HINDI ko talaga maintindihan..."
And you'd think since they're all girls (i went to highschool at an all-girls school) they'd be gushing over sawyer the moment they see him on screen...

well, here's just my idea..hmm..since we are joining the sci-fi group..i think we should also dwell on the sci-fi aspect of lost..meaning the dharma stuff..just incorporate the dharma logo with our pinoy theme..just my opinion..just be creative..i know you can do it..
anyway, i will be needing your fullname as well so that i could have it added in the official list..Thanks so much..

The next meeting will be on JULY 8 (Saturday) 11:30 a.m. at MegaStrip A (starbucks). We will be going over the whole membership process and prepare props for the con.

no the, NEW WORLD ALLIANCES will be hosting a con and we will be joining-as affiliates?
NWA is a sci-fi org. and we applied for membership.. it will be our debut so we hope we can pull it off. any suggestions? on our theme.. i was thinking of the whole dharma stuff.. lol

The con will be next sat and sun but i think sunday is dedicated for the fan groups to exhibit and booth. we will be sharing a booth with another group i'm not sure if battlestar gallactica or what..anyway, if you have some LOST stuff and you want to share it you can bring it along for props and decor..

The DHARMA tape mentioned the "ferry."
A couple people thought the "ferry" might be going to the Palau Islands.
When extending this line of thought, a bearing of 325 just might take Michael and Walt to the Philippines, probably Mindinao.

Stuff like how many episodes you guys are behind the US (if any), if subtitled, if dubbed, popularity of the show, networks it is shown on and at what times, etc. I'll add about Studio 23 & link the fan club now, thanks.

Lost Philippines is planning to join the NWA Con5 this coming October. We're in need of Volunteers (preferrably based here in Manila)--> although we would appreciate virtual help. New World Alliance is sci-fi & fantasy society here in the Phil. in which Lost Pinoys is affiliated with. This coming october we'll be celebrating the 5th gathering for sci-fi fans, recruit new members for their respective fandoms and more..more fun activities.
