Episode Description:

After discovering something odd just offshore, Jack and Sayid come up with a plan to confront "The Others" and hopefully get Walt back. Meanwhile, Eko and Locke come to blows as Locke makes a potentially cataclysmic decision regarding the "button" and the hatch, on the two-hour season finale.

Ok I just watched it and what an ending!! I was thinking from the beginning that the others would only keep kate, jack and sawyer but for WHAT??? Does anyone have any insight as to what they are going to do with the three of them at their camp??? I just can't figure it out!

What an episode it was! Also- I don't think the plane was supposed to crash, or at least that particular plane. I think it just happened?

Actually I find all the flashbacks kind of interesting after seeing this episode. I only wish that they had done desmond flashbacks sooner :( Live together die alone- I think they are referring to lock and eko because they didn't work together and the fact that desmond had to use the 'key' to save them. Something like that??

Ok at the end this is what happens:

Jack is successful with his plan NOT to press the button. With only a few minutes left on the clock Desmond realizes (because of the papers Eko has brought back with him from the other hatch) he was responsible for the plane crashing (because Desmond did not press the button). Desmond cannot convince Jack of this so he takes matters into his own hands and uses some special key he has around his neck to abort the electromagnetic effect that is taking place (all metal is flying towards the hatch).

Off of the island at the end of the episode we are brought to a boat that is sitting in an ice field (yes an ice field) somewhere! On the boat the men are picking up some kind of signal (I have no idea what the signal is- I am assumming it has something to do with the electromagnetic field) and on of the men says he must call ms.widmore to alert her that they have found Desmond (in this episode we learn ms.Widmore and Desmond were lovers!). Does that help??

Also, the others camp was completely fake - and Jack realizes once he sees Sayid's smoke signals from a completely opposite direction. That's when he calls out Michael, and then the others attack or something or other.

Sayid bursts in their hatch door, but there's just sand - it's completely empty.

Walt does not appear until the very end of the episode when Michael is presented the boat. NOTHING is said about what special powers Walt possesses.

I am only guessing but when Desmond used his 'key' I think he died but I am not sure. They only show him putting the key into the electromagnetic field to override it and then that's it!

As far as I know NO ONE else dies...actually this is not true..while jack, kate, sawyer, michael and hurley are hiking they see two others following them and sawyer and kate shoot at them. One of those others is killed!

Oh and btw- Henry is the 'one' LOL

The others most certanily have a way of getting off the island whenever they want. As 'Henry' was presenting Michael the boat (Walt was hiding inside of the boat) he gave very specific cumpus directions on how Michael can drive to safety. So this is my guess that the others are the 'inititive'.

So let me get this straight.....

Desmond didnt enter the numbers 60 days ago, which caused the Huge Ass Magnet to cause Flight 815 to crash, meaning that the Losties were NOT brought to the island for a purpose...it was just an accident - caused by the island. But it just so happened that half the passengers on the plane have some sort of connection to the Island (eg. Eko and his brothers plane, Libby and Widmore, Hurley and the numbers).

Henry's group of others are good and just let Mike and Walt leave the island, and let Hurley just walk back to their campsite - if they are good, why dont they just walk up to the losties campsite and introduce themselves.

Henry is the "one"??? Henry said that the "one" is even more powerful than God (or something similar)...does this mean Henry just has a high opinion of himself?

Unanswered: What about Locke's legs? What about the other kids? What about the shark with the tattoo? What about Cindy?

From what I read....the directors of Lost have no idea what theyre doing. I cant believe they claimed that the finale is gonna be "out of the box". I cant believe Michael, in an interview, said there was going to be catastrophic events.

So the cliffhanger at the end, and what we have to wait for till next season, is that some remote station has found the island.....BIG WHOOP. Thats almost exactly the same as last seasons ending.

Thank god this was the finale, cause im sick of watching crap episodes week after week hoping that something exciting is going to happen (or at least something logical).

Hell....what about the monstor? I dont think even the directors know what the monstor is...i think they just made it up and have no intention of ever trying to explain smokey...just like they have no intention of explaining Locke, why losties are having visions...they even just took the easy road with the plane crash...damn everyone mentioned a huge ass magnet as soon as we saw the computer in the 1st or 2nd episode of season 2....and they try and make it out like "WOW! THIS IS WHY THE PLANE CRASHED!" - maybe the writers DONT read the forums, and are so stupid that they didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to theorise the magnet causing the plane crash. So much for non-metallic metals and shit like that.

Pretty sure the bird's appearence will be nothing, but in last season's finale... as Jack, Kate, Locke, and Hurley are walking in the woods after getting the dynamite... there was a shot of a big bird, almost looking like an owl, flying past a tree. A few moments later, "Smokey" woke up and attacked Locke.
