Okay there is constantly talk about manifestations of objects on the island. Heres a list of things that were possibly manifested by Walt and Others.
Polar Bears-Walt
Bird in Window- Walt
Backgammon Dice- Walt
Now we know that these things are topics discussed deeply in manifestation talks. Here are a few others that I thought of or read on other posts.
Vincent- Walt
Jack's Father- Jack
Ethan- Claire
Guitar- Charlie
Luggage- Michael
Suitcase- Kate
Golf Clubs- Hurley
Claire and her diary - Charlie
Monster-???

Now these things may have been around already and are just part of the wreckage or already exited on the island. But I am not sure. All of these items have been conjured and manifested when something triggered it like: Comic Books, Deep Thought of it, a diary, a dream. Comic Books triggered the polar bears. Diary may have manifested Claire back. The dream may have manifested Ethan. And a need for something or desperate thought of something would trigger luggage, Jack's father, golf clubs, etc. Now I do not believe that these things pop up out of no where but it seems that all of these things have existed and are in the vicinity. Now we know all of these things were on the flight except for the bears. Now the bears were probably there earlier because Dani stated that the monster outside wasnt a bear so she must of had knowledge of them earlier before the crash. I just believe that people are able to manifest things around them that are already around and in the area.

Thats a little theory I was thinking about. Feel free to add more possible manifestations or comments.

Well, think about it - it is very unlikely anything has been manifested. Teleportated, possibly. Attracted towards a void of likelihood in the probability curve, even more possibly. But extremely complex combinations of molecules that comprise a perfectly expressed physical beign or object - poppycock.

I know this is just a TV show, and lalala scinece/pseudoscience, but what has to actually occur in the physical universe for previously unexisting objects or creatures to become instantaneously extant will strectch all but The Weekly World News' readers suspension of disbelief. Mark my words, anything thus far that lends crednce to this theory has been merely a red herring. It's hard enough to draw a picture of or sculpt a representation of something, but to psionically construct an actual doppelganger from the quark up is a contrivance best relegated to the genre of pure fantasy.

I agree that true manifestation would take unimaginable powers, however moving something that already exists (teleportation,) not so much. Also altering whether or not something that is already there is perceived (guitar, golf clubs) is definitely within the realm of possibility since we know something is capable of projecting hallucinations, (Jack's dad, Shannon-killing monster - and I believe Jack's fight with Ethan.)

If Walt has the powers that we are being led to believe, manifesting a specific roll of the dice or a bird to crash into a window does not require the dice or bird be created, only manipulated.

I'm just glad certain PTB in our government don't have this power - or do they? :eek

Which means we still need an explanation of the polar bear's existence even if walt made it attack.

The French Chick mentioned the bears, so they must have already been on the island.
