Can Walt Create thing in on the Island?

He described a square rock formation on the beach to his dad.
Did he see it from theboat at night after being snatched from the raft or did he create it as a marker for michal to find.

The woman in the tent asked if walt ever appear somewhere he was not supposed to be.

Are there other things in the program that could be a sign of michals ability to create thing or project himself.

1) The polar bear on the comic was most likely a red herring
2) Walt did not describe the rock formation to Michael, one of the others did as part of their plan to lure Michael there for the switch to get Fenry back
3) Walt can project himself, other than killing that bird in S1 that's the extent of his ability that we can be sure about.
