At the end of season 1 we see walt abducted by the others. I was thinking the losties would have him rescued by the middle of season 2. When he had not come yet I knew they were saving it for the end of season 2. Then the end of season 2 comes and yet we still don't know crap about what the hell happened to walt? We got like 3 sentences out of him in 3 minutes. We got no info like we got with Claire in Maternity Leave. I mean the kid is growing fast it is going to be weird to see a really tall walt in flashbacks. If they wrote him out the show then why promote him having some type of special power in episode 114. I hope there is some type of explanation in season 3 but really we should have seen it in the season 2 finale.

They could have filmed the story early over the summer of 2005 to save for the season finale. They also could have filmed that scene with just walt and michael leaving on the boat too. You could do trick camerawork to make it seem like walt is looking at the others and the love trio as he and michael leave the island.

Well, now that Jack, Sawyer and Kate are in the custody of the others, they are going to be held wherever the Others stay and we'll learn all about what they do and why they wanted Walt.

I don't know about you but when they abducted walt at the end of season 1 I thought we would learn what walt experienced during his time with the others in season 2.

Ten bucks says they filmed Walt flashbacks throughout this season and TPTB are saving them for S3. That would be kick ass:Headbang:

If they did that they would reedem themselves to a degree but to show tall walt when michael came to see him in 3 minutes and to have tall walt when they left in the boat leads me to believe we will never see walt's experiences with the others but if we do see them by some chance he will be sitting down in all his scenes.

I saw Michael David Kelley on Jimmy Kimmel very recently and he has grown taller, but not really too much taller to continue to play the role -maybe it's just camera angles on the Lost show.

I would say when tptb decide its time for us to know about walt they'll tell us.
Maybe they don't even tell us, maybe we just experiance it through Saywer, Jack, and Kate.
Maybe Walt just sat and played xbox the whole time and kicked a@@ and the others were really impressed and we sad he had to go.
We can sit here and draw a lot of conclusions, but we wont know who's right for a few more months..lol

Yup...........I think we may see what happened with Walt through the Others' flashbacks in Season 3.

Hahahahahaha. Ten bucks says that's wrong. They couldn't figure out what was in the hatch before they made it. They couldn't figure out locke was in a wheelchair until they decided it would be cool. There is no way they were filming what happened to walt this season.
Height is no impediment. They've been making people look shorter on film since at least "The Incredible Shrinking Man". His face hasn't changed.

Or maybe TPTB we're so wrapped up in telling the stories of Ana, Libby and Eco, they just said the hell with Sun, Jin, Charlie, Claire, Sayid, Locke, Hurley, Mike, Walt and everything else. Wouldn't have thought after all that, they'd just kill AL and Libby off but what do I know? I'm not a genius TV writer.

The writers could very easily explain that they had to inject him with some of their mysterious medicine (like the kind that gave Ethan super strength) and it made him grow super tall super fast.
Walt is too central to the story..or so we have been made to believe.. to just ride him off into the sunset. He's the only one so far.. who seemed to have powers OFF the island.
