So I'm a big fan of scary stuff. I like to be scared. Not the "This dude has a gun in my face" kinda scared, or the "What do you mean you're late, baby? Dinner's at 6. You're right... on... time... OH GOD NO" kinda scared. Those fears are too mundane, too real to be enjoyable.

I'm talking about the creepy-little-girl-crawling-out-of-the-television, crabwalking-backwards-down-the-stairs, I'll-eat-your-soul-like-breakfast-cereal kinda scared.

I thought it might be fun to see what kind of scary pictures you guys can come up with. Bonus points if you write a funny caption for a scary picture. I'm expecting some quality stuff from some of you (I'm looking at you, ILLB, ILF, OD and camelsmoker).

They don't have to be "real." If you want real, check out the True Personal Ghost Stories thread. Anyway, pictures of smudges and raindrops on your camera lens don't become scary just because you call them "orbs" and say they appeared in a place where it's scientifically impossible for there to be a smudge or a raindrop on your lens. I'm talking about scary pictures of scary, ghostish zombie-ish kinda things.

Post oil paintings, charcoal sketches, computer graphics. Post that macaroni-and-glitter-on-paper-plate monstrosity you created in kindergarten that depicts the ascension of the Antichrist. Anything that's creepy, preying on the basic, innate fears we all share. Like Condoleeza Rice. There, I just gave you gold. Somebody run with that.

That pic may very well be what happens when you aim an 8mm projector image or slide projected photo of faces at the floor and then snap a photo of it. The top head seems to contour to the pillow behind it.

Just as if you have ever seen footage of the famous "lights in the sky", they are usually a bundle of chrome coated mylar balloons floating in the sky, with a laser or a bright light aimed at them.

I'm not debunking UFO's or ghosts, but many of the pics are bogus.

Bekka, the one in the second picture (being held) is actually a little small. I first saw these things when I took a science cruise - they were brought up in some bottom trawls we did. Everybody else knew what they were and weren't surprised, while I was thinking holy cheescakes!
