Anyone got any good pictures of his rash he's starting to get? I want to see it again and I can't find any.
Also, does anyone have any opinions on it (is it the sickness)?
Have you tried checking LOST-Media (http://www.lost-media.com/) to see if they have any screen captures of what you're talking about? I can't think of anywhere else to look.

The thing on his head is actually the result of Alex using the butt of the rifle stock on his head to knock him out.
Others have suggested he has a rash on his hand. I haven't seen it. Though it would be in the Season 2 Finale (the scene in the woods, just after the parrot swoops down where he tells Jack he's looking for firewood).
I just assumed or presumed it was more of a nervous reaction.

You mean his right hand...the one holding the backpack, or whatever he's carrying? I see what you mean. That does indeed look like a rash of some sort. I never noticed it while watching. It could be dried blood though....but even that wouldn't stand out that "bright" of red. Interesting find. I'm intrigued myself. Thanks for the pics......they help a lot.

there is definately something on both of his hands. I remember thinking when I saw it that he was put in some type of restraining device or he was tortured. Its gross.. There has to be better pictures of it out there...

his right hand isnt as bad.. but its there. Just near the knuckles.

Maybe Harold Perrineau had poison ivy and TPTB thought it would be a good opportunity to introduce us to the sickness.
Matthew Fox's tattoos have nothing to do with the show but TPTB promised that they would (somehow) fit that into Jack's story.

He looks gross either way. Why do we need gross pics of him to remind us?
Did he maybe injure his hand when he shot himself?
I think whatever it is, it's there for a reason. With the makeup dept that LOST has, if it was something TPTB didn't want us to see, they would have covered it up/shot it from a different angle/etc. It'll be interesting to see what it is next season, if Michael makes an appearance.
Also, since it's been mentioned, it would be interesting to see if any of the other 815's begin to show signs of the same "rash", if that's indeed what it is.

Aaron had a rash..
and supa Docta Jackass blew it off like it was nuttin. In fact, they centered an entire episode around it, then it disappeared by 10 pm. Kinda like the ratings for Lost this season.

I thought they wrote that off to roseola (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/roseola) which is common in newborns? Perhaps the good Dr. (:rotfl) dismissed the rash too hastily. Like that would be a surprise. This is Jack we're talking about. ;)

Actually, given the writers obsession with making Jack the supa hero... they'll only bring back the rash if they can then have him miraculously cure it seconds before death.
I just stumbled across this thread. There's a thread in T&S discussing this.
The rash first appeared on his forehead on his way to the Other's camp. The rash on his LEFT hand appeared on the way back to the Other's camp.
From spooky's transcript:
[We see Michael by himself, agonizing. Jack approaches.]
JACK: Hey, you alright?
MICHAEL: Yeah, just getting some more firewood. Not feeling too hot.
JACK: You shouldn't be out here alone. I'll give you a hand.
