according to recent spoilers over at thetailsection.com, the failsafe somehow "changed" the island. also, john, desmond and eko's situation is directly tied to jack, kate and sawyer's situation. not only that, but what really happened when desmond did the failsafe will be the major plot in the next season, or so i think. lol. so basically, nah, half the finale was not for nothing.

you would probably be best off, however, doing some research on your own. my memory's always fuzzy.

Desmond will now play a more central role, I think. The show seems to be trending towards it being an epic tragi-drama between he and Pene Widmore, with our Losties being cuaght in between what is going on. They will be the pawns no more, however. I think Fenry will be sure of that. I think he is about to educate them on something, then let them unwittingly do his bidding.

Isn't that the truth. The more I read Kristin, the more I realize that she is just a press agent on the E! payroll for all of these shows. She has no real spoiler info. Just reads press releases and acts like it is scoop. And even more worthless in the summer because there are no press releases. If she had scoop, it would come out now. How can I get some of her job action? Paid well to do NOTHING.

That's an interesting idea. I could see them being "re-educated" about what purpose the Others serve. Maybe they're going to try and recruit them into their ranks to join their cause (whatever that is).

When I started lurking in this forum, on the old board, Kristin seemed to give real spoilers, now she like a TPTB puppet, throwing out the smallest promotional tidbits.

Not just to throw Kristin under the bus alone here, but Ausiello is just as bad. And his posts are brutal self promotion. Hard to stomach at times. Talk about insecure, that guy.

At times, they all suck. However, Ausiello at least knows that Alex is a girl.....can't say the same for Kristin. I bet her inbox was crying "Uncle!" after that little mess up. ;)
