First off, let me say that all members are welcome in this game. Some of you voted in the last game, some of you didn't. Some people formed alliances, staged coups, etc. All is good with that. If you don't vote in the first cycle, or don't vote regularly, that doesn't matter a bit. :D

The rules of the game:

1) You can only vote once per voting cycle. Last time a couple of people voted twice (hopefully this was unintentional), I would like it very much if people didn't do this. If you are unsure when the cycle ended or began, take a page out of LFG's book (;)) and ask "Have I voted already?" and I will be more than happy to check. If you vote more than once, only your first vote will be counted. But I'd really rather not have to go through all the votes and write down all the people who voted.... I'd rather trust ya'll to do the right thing ;)

2) Please limit the chatting. At times it is tempting to threadjack and chat, and I know that this is sometimes inevitable. But please try to keep it to a minimum. There are places where you can go to chat about the game (Sweet Doo's "Smoke Monster" alliance thread and Saywat's "Tony Wonder" alliance thread are very good... or just go to the Lostaways community you frequent). This thread is all for the voting, so let's try our best to keep it this way (myself included :D).

3) Please make your vote clear. I know that some of you can't help yourselves from posting commentary with your vote, and that's really fine with me-- half the time it's pretty funny. But if you are going to do this, will you bold, or color, or enlarge the name of your vote, or do something to make the name stand out. Otherwise, sometimes I won't exactly know who you're voting for, and I won't count your vote.
Oh, and by the way, please don't edit your vote to change it. Most of the time it won't matter anyway, because I update voting as often as possible and don't look back at votes before updating.

4) Alliances are allowed and even welcome. If you want to get your friends together and try to pull some sneaky survivor stuff to keep and/or get rid of the people you favor, go right ahead. This is survivor. :D


Well, that's about it for the rules.

Now comes the fun.

Last "season" we voted out people on the Island who were still presumably alive at the end of Season 2.

This time, the contestants will all be Flashback characters, people who have never appeared on the island. The characters that are contestants were determined by poll.


Voting will commence. You are voting for who you want to be ELIMINATED. The voting cycle is every two days. At the end, we will determine who is SOLE SURVIVOR out of the Flashback characters.

The person who receives the most votes-- their torch will be extinguished and they will be banned from the Lost show. The person who receives the NEXT TO LAST votes is awarded immunity, and cannot be voted out that cycle.

Although don't be surprised if there are some twists and turns around the way. If there is a twist or change, I will post it here in this first post, so it's usually a good idea to check this post first before voting.

(by the way, the biggest criticism I got last game was not ending the voting on time. I'll try as hard as I can to be here on time to end voting, but we all have lives and sometimes it isn't possible. HOWEVER, voting will effectively end when I say-- usually 7 PM EDT-- and any votes put in after that time will not be counted.)
