Well, a Jack-Centric episode is confirmed to be happening soon; he wants to film it early so he can take some time off, but even so, with a 13 week hiatus, I'd guess it's in the first segment (so 304, 305, or 306).
The episode features Jack saving a girl in the park-the girl is rumoured to be EMMA from the tail-section. The episode features Sarah, and Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet.
It apparently features "a lot of water".
With so much information on the episode, it's worth having like an official stickied thread, right? (:

who's Emma? Or is that a new character that died/ escaped/ was captured that we haven't seen yet?

Emma was the little girl in the tail-section survivors, kidnapped with her brother and the bear.
If you cast about this forum, it seems the picture of a child Jack is heimliching in a flashback is her.
I'll wait until we have more information meaning....episode number and possibly title, before sticking. Right now there are only two episodes we know about for fairly certain. Considering it is Jack, that leaves us with 21 - 22 other episodes (and any combination of those) that could be his....;)

It's most likely 3.06 or 3.07, I'm guessing 3.06. Since he didn't get the premier they are giving him the mini-finale.

I agree with that. If another Spoiler is correct, this would be the big cliffhanger (we find out Jack has gone to the dark side).
That's still not enought to qualify as either mind-blowing or shark-jumping for me. There has to be way more to that particualr storyline for it to be either, in my book.

That is now the problem - if the mind-blowing event is Jack jumping to the "dark side" then it won't be mind-blowing. Whenever TPTB tell us that something will be "shocking", it most likely will NOT be.

It definitely makes sense in a way. If you remember TPTB said that the S3 theme is Us v. Them, but they went on to caution us that the Us v Them may not be who we thought it would be.

Oh i guess I just didnt read far enough down. I was too busy being MEEN.
It definitely makes sense in a way. If you remember TPTB said that the S3 theme is Us v. Them, but they went on to caution us that the Us v Them may not be who we thought it would be.
They also said something like that in S1, Jack was supposed to get darker and Sawyer lighter etc, they seem to like flipping characters.
I thought the Us vs.Them was going to be about two groups of Others, and the one we've seen behaving so badly would turn out not to be the worst of the lot.

The more I think about it, the more I really like Jack turning and staying with the others. It makes the progressive wackiness of his season 2 behavior look more like character development, less like a hairtrigger guy who couldn't plot his way out of a papersack is leading them to do not much.

I think Jack "turning" is entirely plausible. If properly tied in to the Others medical efforts, particularly relating to Dharma and things like the Life Extension Project (if its brought over from ARG), it seems like all the Others would have to say to Jack is "Just think of all the lives you could save", and boom, done deal, Jack's an Other.
